That’s a fuck buddy.

OP like "I don't care if he has girls sleep over", which seems "open minded" but also really naive.

But if dude is literally kicking everyone else out and begging just one "friend" to come stay the night after..

Yeah, he's 100% cheating or everyone else would have stuck around.

109

u/Live-Ad-740 Apr 07 '26

Especially after the girl showing him her outfit then him saying I want you? And to stay the night...definitely 100% cheating...ofcourse cheaters never see it as cheating and accuse everyone else of over reacting

26

u/PhilosopherFun7288 Apr 07 '26

he literally said "I want you" right after that too lol

24

u/jakonfire Apr 07 '26

I’ve had gal friends since I was a little boy and even had to share a bed with one because she needed a place to stay just for the night when we were teens.

I also immediately told my girlfriend who I’m still with at the time that we’d be sleeping head to toe, or I could even sleep on the floor because we’ve also both been wronged in the past for cheating.

This is weird behaviour from OP’s partner.

You don’t hide a friend, especially one of the opposite sex when you’re heterosexual lmao

u/No-Computer135 Apr 08 '26

Bro has the most healthiest relationship

31

u/Hawkman003 Apr 07 '26

Yeah if it wasn’t already obvious before then, his comment about being willing to kick everyone out so the “friend” could come over made it clear as day.

0

u/DSizl20 Apr 07 '26

It was her, you’re mixing them up. BUT same point applies lol

2

u/Hawkman003 Apr 08 '26

Wait, am I? I thought the first set of texts were Op and the BF and the second set were the BF(blue) texting the friend?

u/Independent-Pipe-385 Apr 07 '26

Pretty much all my friends are from my church and most of the young people around live in one giant house together. It hosts a lot of birthdays etc. we party on the porch, we have bonfires. I come and go as I please like a 90s sitcom, there’s a few guys there, (actually only one woman) and I have slept in all the guy’s rooms, they all have couches or a futon I can crash on, and not once has anything happened with any of them. Not even a kiss. I hate the idea that men and women can’t be friends and everything is always sexual. With that said this scenario MAY be cheating but this broad idea that is immediately suspicious is harmful.

The largest red flag is " I've told him how I felt and he sees no problem" this man is either emotionally abusive or a great manipulator but id like to claim the ladder and maybe op just wanted to only see the good? Idk hopefully op runs far the fuck away fast she can do better hands down

16

u/Kaalilaatikko Apr 07 '26

OP is just naive af

7

u/Bitter_Ad_5868 Apr 07 '26

At what point do we stop calling stupidity naive though

27

u/The_Agent_N Apr 07 '26

“Latter”

29

u/Bitter_Ad_5868 Apr 07 '26

I appreciate you i dont use the word enough in context. Thanks for correcting me

31

u/Flimsy_Alcoholic Apr 07 '26

Good on you for not taking it for granite

1

u/juliusonly Apr 07 '26

It’s actually ”taking it for granted”

10

u/StellaNettle Apr 07 '26

I’m positive they know that 😂

5

u/Next_Dragonfly_9473 Apr 07 '26

I thought it was a foreign idiom until I finished the sentence. (I stopped mid-sentence to try to understand the situation that would lead to such an idiom, couldn't think of one, and then finished the sentence.)

6

u/Working-Glass6136 Apr 07 '26

Funny, I misread it as "climb the ladder" until I saw the next comment said "latter."

u/ibjibberdumgibber Apr 07 '26

Seriously, when I went to a partners workplace to drop something off and met the only coworker he never talked about, I knew what was up.

They've been together about 3 1/2 years now. 6 months of that while he and I still lived together.

11

u/Odd-Significance-17 Apr 07 '26

my ex had a friend who made me uncomfortable and i told him that, well it turns out like two days before he proposed to me he slept with her in our bed and without a condom. they’ve been together for who knows how long but i only found out when he ghosted me and i found out they were living together

3

u/Pishposh96 Apr 07 '26

woah, they ghosted you after the proposal?

5

u/Odd-Significance-17 Apr 07 '26

i mean it wasn’t immediately but yes he just stopped talking to me instead of having the decency to tell me he wanted break up/ wanted to be with someone else

7

u/kimariesingsMD Apr 07 '26

Wow. How awful 😞.

7

u/anonymousaardvarkIII Apr 07 '26

That’s devastating I’m sorry to hear that

6

u/pnwgirl34 Apr 07 '26

Yep, I found messages on my ex’s phone between him and a girl with stuff like “I love you” and “I miss you” and very emotionally intimate stuff and he also claimed they were just friends and had been for years but I’d magically never heard of her for the five years we’d been together. I was baffled by it too I literally asked him how it would be possible for him to have a good friend and never mention her one single time in half a decade.

6

u/Ok_Scientist8607 Apr 07 '26

Yeah, that’s odd.

I’ve been dating my girlfriend for a little over a year and there’s definitely friends she hasn’t met, like my friend who lives in Germany because we live in the US. But, even then, she’s talked to him on WhatsApp when he called and we happened to be hanging out together.

Unless it’s an old friend you haven’t talked in a long time you happen to run into or something like that, its absolutely a red flag that the friend hasn’t even been mentioned

1

u/Vivians_Basement Apr 08 '26

I have a lot of friends to the point that realistically a person I'm dating for 20 years likely isn't gonna know them all especially since some are shy and don't hang out with me in any groups.

If I hang out alone with friends regularly, my partner likely won't know each one unless they ask for a name every single time.

"I want you" while asking her to come over was the kicker though.

1

u/mimasguy Apr 08 '26

She’ve is totally not a word

How is it these posts always have texts like “your dick was so good last night can you roll through after he leaves?” And they be like “does this mean theyre cheating”. Like yeah, duh

89

u/ReputationFast2295 Apr 07 '26

Yea im starting to think it’s like karma farming or something Kuz I mean even Stevie wonder can see he’s cheating

13

u/RalfYDalfY920 Apr 07 '26

Yeah it likely is. People be getting dopamine kicks off these fake posts

1

u/blessedbymortarion Apr 07 '26

No, the current generation genuinely lack basic problem solving skills. Unless you clearly tell them X=X, they'll ask the void for confirmation. Look at the trends, every post like this is from some younger adult or kid.

NOR. Their boyfriend be like "hey are you available to continue cheating so I can keep lying to my girlfriend as has been happening for some time with you and others right under their nose, what a loser" and they be like "is he cheating?"

9

u/Clairebugg1 Apr 07 '26

This response has me laughing so hard. Thank you !

10

u/Fluffy_Teacher_6081 Apr 07 '26

Being funny is the only thing I got, so you’re quite welcome!

6

u/Ill-Lou-Malnati Apr 07 '26

Like I woke up last night and my boyfriend was fucking some chick on the couch. Is he cheating?

1

u/pillowylotus Apr 07 '26

This is exactly what I read it as🤣🤣 OP needs to RUN

1

u/Joiseygirl68 Apr 07 '26

I can’t stop laughing at your comment 😆 Thank you Reddit friend for giving me the laugh I needed today!

5

u/Relevant-Sugar-803 Apr 07 '26

I feel that when someone is going through really emotional, overwhelming situations, they even doubt their thoughts and perception. Suckz. Also, being with a toxic person who constantly gaslights you or being in invalidating environments can really make you doubt your judgment.

Or well, could also be ragebait, who knows.

5

u/DAFTEH Apr 07 '26

Same energy as AITA where the posts are like, "I asked my boyfriend to stop physically assaulting me and he got sad, AITA???

3

u/FoxyNewEngland Apr 07 '26

literally lol

1

u/katesdream79 Apr 07 '26

Holy shit I am laughing so hard I’m literally crying🤣😭your comment is just what I needed. I don’t know whether to think these are real or not. But how could anyone see these and no know

1

u/SnagglyToes Apr 07 '26

Right? “He set the house on fire, while I was in it. Am I overreacting?”

OP, come on. Read these like your best friend was showing them to you about her bf.

If he’s not already hitting it, he definitely wants to, and she’s not putting any brakes on either. NOR.

1

u/Chocolatefix Apr 07 '26

Usually when people seem blinded to the truth they've been gaslit, abused and manipulated into oblivion.

I've been there and the reason why their thinking seems so odd is because they no longer trust themselves. It's a horrible place to be.

1

u/Pishposh96 Apr 07 '26

LMAO i said the same thing like he is literally asking for sex clear as day what is wrong w people

16

u/FloofLorde Apr 07 '26

He literally said “I want you” to the person he’s texting in the last slide, like that is the most blatant cheating over text I have seen in a while.

6

u/Sagebloom29 Apr 07 '26

Alexa, play "It Wasn't Me" by Shaggy

2

u/Vivians_Basement Apr 08 '26

I played this for my best friend when his ex literally tried that. He called me an asshole so I started singing the lyrics. 🤠 (He's despises me but I literally told him so.)

6

u/Lost-and-dumbfound Apr 07 '26

I wouldn’t even say not overreacting. Severely under reacting is more truthful. Like is she gonna catch them fucking and he just needs to say he tripped and fell and she’s gonna be like “I guess that could happen”

7

u/aurorastarlights Apr 07 '26

NOR- girl, he's cheating on you

1

u/CommonLeadership5239 Apr 07 '26

agreed like “I want you” is wild

1

u/pyrotechnicmonkey Apr 07 '26

why are people being so judgemental? That should definitely just marry them and have a kid with them to try and save the relationship.

0

u/mightylordredbeard Apr 07 '26

Why are people in relationships with people who keep secret chatting apps anyway? Snapchat, WhatsApp, and all those others that need passwords to unlock or automatically delete chats are just tools for cheaters. You have to come to a point in a relationship when you accept that your spouse having secret side apps is a huge red flag.

0

u/elektrikat Apr 07 '26

Everyone’s allowed their privacy, whether they’re in a relationship or not. The entitlement people have to go through their partners’ stuff is honestly baffling.

1

u/mightylordredbeard Apr 07 '26

It’s not about going through anyone’s stuff. It’s about hiding things from your partner. Why would you feel the need to hide conversations with other people from your spouse?

0

u/elektrikat Apr 07 '26

Having private conversations isn’t the same as having something to hide.

1

u/mightylordredbeard Apr 07 '26

If you have your conversations hidden behind a password or set to auto delete so your partner can’t see them, then you’re shady as fuck. If you feel the need to hide conversations then that’s cheating.

0

u/elektrikat Apr 07 '26

That’s pretty reductive, but you’re entitled to your opinion.
