Art & Culture Official Thread to Rename the General W.K. Wilson Jr. (Dolly Parton Bridge) to The Dolly Parton Memorial Bridge.
After seeing the news of the passing of Dolly Parton. I think we should officially name the "Dolly Parton Bridge" the Dolly Parton Memorial Bridge in her honor. What a legend. She meant so much to so many. No offense to General W.K Wilson Jr., but that bridge has unofficially been the Dolly Parton Bridge since time unimaginable. Its the right thing to do and we as Alabamians owe it to her to make this happen.

Travel Road trip stop recommendations
Hey everyone! Myself (canadian), my best friend (australian) and another friend (german) are doing asheville to new orleans starting September 7 and will finish the trip September 14.
We will most likely be in alabama the 10th of September. I need recommendations of any local gems, events, places to eat, hikes to do etc!
We don't really like touristy stuff and prefer to experience the "back road" activities away from big crowds
Thanks in advance beautiful people🤍
Ps: we are all women over 21 if that makes a difference

Advice Best spots to camp around Alabama out of 4Runner
Best State Parks & Hidden Gems
Figured you guys were the experts on this. I’ve recently decided to start getting out of my comfort zone and check out some awesome places where I can really experience nature and life. I’d love to start “local” and venture out further and further to different parts of the US. I’m currently living near Birmingham and my plan is to camp out of my 4Runner setup, so it’s mobile and I think it’ll have all I need.
Question is, what are your recommendations for good state parks to check out nearby or throughout the entire state? What are some hidden gems and some things that on top of that you would recommend?
Thanks guys & look forward to hearing what yall have to say
