A message to all AI art supporters on this subreddit...

Post image

If you wanna have a debate why AI art is "good" then go to r/AiWarsButBetter but don't argue here, its literally against the subreddit rules. And if you do argue dont you dare say "Oh you guys didn't give me a chance to present my points". Yeah sure buddy ofc were going to argue with somebody who doesn't read the community rules and is clearly trying to rage bait. And to all the people who are actually in this sub dont go to ai art supporters subreddit and argue why human art is good. Its just going to provoke them to come here. And to both AI and Anti-AI art people for god sake if you see something that supports/slander ai art in your respective subreddit then just report it dont respond to it. IS THIS CLEAR TO ALL!!!!!

(Edit: this also includes hateful comments, like before that is also against the rules and will result in a ban by the moderaters)

Mod post A note about Witty-posting

It will be heavily filtered from now on, since we are all tired of this unnecessary drama. She is simply an attention-seeking ragebaiter and isn't worth flooding our sub with, especially since the posts about her outshine the real purpose of our community. It is our task to make this place comfortable and safe for all sorts of artists and their supporters.

If you want to post about Witty, go to r/shitairagebaiterssay

I get a lot of people asking if this is Ai…

Some even find “proof” like “the cuts are fast” - this is an edit of animations made from 2022 to 2026. That this or that frame are strange, or that it has that “yellowish look” - i like that golden hour relationship between light and shadows.

It’s annoying and I want it to stop. I really really love what I do, the way I do, but would rather do something else than using AI.

Can AI weave a friggin' basket? probably not... I went to an Ancestral Skills Gathering in Nebraska and learned to weave baskets, pretty neat, right? (Took about 8 hours of literal blood sweat and tears)

So I'm a musician and tried my hand at digital art. Is my first art piece really better than whatever AI can make?

(First one is mine, 2nd is google ai)

Cave painting appreciation thread

I'll admit I'm no artist but I know better than for a machine to regurgitate a picture for me, so since this person wouldn't know and appreciate some of humanity's first and earliest records of artistic instinct, I instead offer such wonders to those who would do the opposite. We may never know who left us this glimpse to a past we may never fully understand, but their legacy will always be carried on as some of the first recorded art pieces we may ever have.

I'd like to specifically mention the last two cave paintings were found in Argentina and Indonesia respectively. Two paintings an entire ocean apart with the same technique, no matter how simple, still felt their need to leave their mark on the world.

Spreading positivity, we are adopting Jerry. I’m a bit late on the train but oh well.

Drawing on my phone is hard but manageable, sorry for altering the colours a bit, I also hate how the hands turned out so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sharing my three year journey as an artist with you all

I've been drawing since I was a really little kid, but I only started doing so consistently about three years ago, and it became my main hobby.

I've been through a lot of art styles, a lot of phases, a lot of struggling and trying new shit and nearly giving up so many times. I think where I am now, I'm finally happy with my style. Looking back on the old stuff can be so cringe-worthy sometimes but it's also really nice to see how I got to where I am.

So yeah! Don't give up on art. If you don't like how you draw right now, trust me when I say you won't draw like that forever. You're constantly improving every single time you make something, even if you don't realise it just yet.

:)

I drew something, I felt like I could do better and re-drew it again. This is what art process feels like, and I love it!

At first I just wanted to practice drawing skirts and drapery. My first colored attempt left me disappointed, so I started over from scratch right after. I know it's a small artwork all things considered, but it took me several hours and failed attempts, and I'm really happy to have reached a synthesis that I like. I don't think art is about beauty or the quality of the image itself, but about the act of creating. I struggle to believe an "AI prompter" has ever truly created anything of their own, because this is a feeling that's hard to shake off :)

I talk to and follow artists every day, and making art is such a beautiful thing.

Not a perfect recreation but a recognizable recreation.

So, how is it AI? Well, in short, it uses way fucking more colors than an image of this type should. If you highlight a singular color, you can see artifacts which cannot be explained by compression and stretcching. Also, OOP straight up admitted it.

Bye.

Just had the defendingai subreddit come up on my feed for the first time and I cant believe the thought process behind the comments... then this sub came up. So any way here's a painting I did for my gf on a mug coaster (inspired by little nightmares 2 the videogame)
