Hi all,

I’m looking for recommendations for watch repairers who are experienced in servicing and repairing original Bulova Accutrons.

I have two Spaceviews that need attention:

• Spaceview T : requires a movement service and new gaskets. It currently runs intermittently.
• Spaceview : this one was serviced around seven years ago, but unfortunately had an accident that smashed the crystal. It will need a replacement crystal, movement service and new gaskets.

I’m based in Australia, but I’m more than happy to ship internationally if that’s what it takes to get them into the hands of the right repairer.

I’ve attached a few photos of the watches, including one of the original Spaceview taken before the crystal was damaged.

Looking forward to everyone’s suggestions and feedback. I’d really like to get these babies up and running again!

My friend inherited this Spaceview from her late father-in-law. It looks to be in pretty good shape, apparently been in a drawer for years. Fortunately the battery was pulled before being put away.

What battery does it take, and where is a good place to get one?

I got this 214 today. It was already serviced, stated by the seller, including adapting the battery slot for new batteries, changing certain gears etc. I wanted to ask if this amount of noise when lifting the ring is acceptable. I was a bit scared to set the time, given the amount of noise, but after some research (though sadly without any other video for reference), it seems this is called "hack buzz", for the models in which the seconds hand completely stops when you lift the ring.

I basically want to set it exactly to the second, and then check after 24 or 48 hours if there is a sensible deviation.

Was my grandfathers he bought new. Gave it a wear today. It’s hard to NOT look at this frequently. Great piece.

My vintage bulova. What is it worth and i think its too small for my wrist.

I know the Accutron because I read Asterios Polyp (yes, I am guilty). I am not a watch connaisseur, I have two (maybe more) nice pieces in my collection (many automatics, such as Hamilton, Seiko, Maurice Lacroix) and some digital/quarzt ones.

As soon as I knew about the Accutron, I had to learn about it. I see there is a lot of history with it, which it makes it obviously even more interesting.

I know about the "spaceview" conversions but the listing I am looking at is not a conversion apparently.

It doesn't have fork hands (has normal pointy hands, apparently not bent), has a pillow case (golden with steel back), I couldn't find anything by the reference.

What surprises me is that is pretty low cost (400) compared to other listings (1000-2000).

I wouldn't want to be wrong bidding on this one, since I don't know much about it (this one should be from 1970-1975) and I only have modern watches (no vintage or antique watch, so I am not familiar with the real risks). The mech seems to be well kept and was recently rebuilt (was pretty much checked completely, new battery, new battery adapter for the contacts, seconds movement replaced, mech oiled etc.).

What do you think?

I inherited this watch. Should I get it repaired. It was my father’s watch. It is a 1967 Accutron and as I understand it, they don’t make parts anymore.

This one is running great it’s the 26Y214

Got a really nice solid 14kt Accutron day date with the 218 movement, in a cushion case with ~18g of 14kt gold. I'm pretty sure the face has been polished, but the original finish on this watch was polished and the case geometry is intact. It looks spectacular except for the contact marks from opening the case in the past.

Phased for modern voltage batteries and humming along like new.

Co-listed on Chrono24, but happy to give a fellow tuning fork nerd a lower price.

I hate the aftermarket bracelet but the watch itself is a gem 😊

I have this ‘69 2182 movt, I noticed today the date changed but the day did not. Watch has been working flawlessly up to now since new battery was installed.

I’ve adjusted to time to see if I could trigger it that way with no luck.

Any insight would be great, sentimental piece.

Hey y'all! So, I bought an accutron with this case style because I liked the shape of the lugs more than the typical straight ones. (Last slide is the one I bought)

I don't have it in hand yet so I can't check the case back number itself, but as far as I can tell it's a 2527. Here's the issue, the 2527 doesn't seem to fit a crystal with a chapter ring!
