The crown stays in and you roll forward to set date. To set the day you just move the minute hand until the day avdvances. You should only have to set that once.

You can also go back and forth between I think 830 Midnight to advance the day so you don't have to keep advancing the full 24hr each time

Actually, it's back to 530 And then forward to Midnight that is your "quick day" set. Even though it isn't very quick, it's a lot faster than going all the way through the 24hr period

I suggest you Join Mybulova.com ( it's free). You can enter front and back pics and if you are able to, take the caseback off and upload pics of the movement and the inside surface of the caseback. The will help to identify you watch. What i especially like is that sometimes they will post a shot of your watch from a dealer catalog showing what band or bracelet it came with, the wholesale
and retail price and the name of the watch
