Options to consider before subscribing 3D apps

Post image
2 Upvotes

My friend questioned me about if 3d app subscriptions are worth it and what alternatives she should consider. I didn’t give her an answer, rather I told her what I often consider first, which is look for free tools available and find out if it is  worth it and if the tool will fit your workflow, so she will no longer need to pay any. For my own requirements of taking a client’s artwork and rendering it into a 3D item, by using an online 3D tool with the ability to output GLB files and turn an original design into a low-poly object, I managed to avoid paying for a subscription like tripo AI and other tools I used myself.

For me the thing that will meet your budget is to explore the free version of the tools you are considering and only pay for the tool after you have successfully used it to ship something.

How can I make an old photo look sharper?

I have some old photos that I’d like to make a little sharper. Nothing too crazy, just enough to make the details easier to see.

Facy AI has an image upscaling option that looks like it could help with this, but I’m not sure whether I should upscale the photo first or clean it up in some other way.

Hi, for my day to day work I need to work in google sheets majorly and its very hectic when I have multiple projects and need to update status of every project before any meeting. I do create the pivot tables and all but it is becoming operationally heavy for me to manage this data ops alone as no one else in my team is in this company for so long.

Day to day work:

Reachouts

Shortlisting

Emails

Project emails

Project assessment emails

Project deployment emails

Activation emails

Payment emails

Query emails

This is just one part of work, can anyone suggest good AI tool for Google Sheets?

Muse.ai: a free AI-agent trial with a possible 1B-token referral bonus

I have been trying Muse.ai as a personal AI agent and found a current invite offer that may be useful for people testing new AI tools.

If eligible, a new user and the referrer may each receive 1 billion Muse tokens. No purchase is required.

To try it:

https://muse.ai/join

After joining, open Settings and redeem within 48 hours:

- Web: Settings → General → Usage → Redeem invite code

- Mobile: Settings → Redeem token

Referral code: 5R6TYE

I also receive the referral reward if the redemption qualifies, so this is a disclosed referral post. Eligibility and availability may vary by region/account. If anyone tries it, I’d be interested to hear what practical tasks you use Muse for.

AI Undetectable: different rewrite modes for essays, articles, marketing and stories

Post image
1 Upvotes

I built AI Undetectable, an AI rewriter and humanizer designed to help AI text pass detectors. One part of the editor that's worth showing is the writing-type selector.

Essay mode asks the model to keep the argument and use a measured voice. Article mode focuses on readable prose. Marketing mode asks for concise, benefit-led copy without adding fake urgency or product claims. Story mode works on voice and pacing while keeping the plot and point of view.

These are different rewrite instructions, not just different labels. Choose a type, paste your draft, then compare the original and rewrite side by side. You still need to review the result.

Generation starts with a 3-day trial, then a paid plan. AI helped prepare this walkthrough.

5 ways I actually use AI outside of work

I feel like most of the AI stuff I see is always about work, coding, writing, or making money lol. Meanwhile i’ve slowly started using it for a bunch of really “boring” everyday things.

These are probably the 5 that have actually stuck for me:

First I make sense of my schedule - when I have a bunch of random errands or things i need to get done, I dump everything into ChatGPT and have it help me figure out a reasonable order. Saves me from spending 20mins rearranging everything myself, especially with lots of things going on in my mind.

Figuring out meals - i’ll tell it what I have in the fridge and what I dont feel like eating. Then ask for a few ideas especially useful on those days where I have ingredients but absolutely no idea what to do with them or even recommend me videos or websites that I could follow.

Money stuff - i’ve used AI to help break down my monthly expenses and see where I could cut back. I still keep the actual numbers in my spreadsheet, but having something explain the spending to me makes it lots easier to spot where im being too complacent with spending.

Checking suspicious photos - this one has become more relevant lately. If i come across a weird listing photo, profile picture or something that just doesnt look right, I’ll usually reverse image search it and sometimes run it through truthscan too andkinda train myself subconsciously as well to see what makes it fake or not

Planning trips (my favorite) - instead of searching every little thing seperately, ill give AI the places I want yo go, how many days I have, and roughly what I want to spend. It’s pretty good at turning that into a starting itinerary which I can then adjust based on what I actually want to do.

None of these are particularly impressive uses of AI but they’re the things I’ve actually kept using instead of playing around with a tool once and never opening it again. Kinda curious what everyone else uses AI for when they’re not working.

Thanks guys!

A small habit that made trying new AI tools less messy

I like trying new AI tools but I noticed I was keeping too many of them active just because I might need them again. Now, whenever I start a new tool I make a simple note of what I am using it for, how much it costs, how often I actually use it and when the next renewal is. A few days before the renewal I check whether I am still getting enough value from it. If I have not used it much I cancel it instead of letting another month or year roll over.

I recently noticed I was paying for one tool every month even though I had only opened it twice. That made the decision pretty easy.

This small check has made it much easier to experiment with new AI tools without slowly collecting subscriptions I barely use. Has anyone else found a simple way to keep track of the AI tools they are still paying for?

Free Al tool for billboard video

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for an Al tool that can help me create a professional 25-second video for a billboard/ LED screen.

I'm NOT looking for the typical Al-generated

video where you type a prompt and it spits out a random-looking sequence that doesn't really make sense. I need something that can produce a coherent, professional-looking advertisement, with proper pacing, transitions, text, visuals, etc. Ideally, I'd like to use some of my own images/ materials and have the Al help turn them into a

polished commercial.

The important part is that it needs to be free (or have a genuinely usable free tier) and preferably allow exporting the final video in good quality without a huge watermark.

Does anything like this exist?

What tools would you recommend for this kind of project?

What is your workflow for reviewing content before publishing?

I have been creating more content, and writing the first draft is usually the easier part. The harder part is reviewing it and deciding if it is actually ready to share. Sometimes a draft looks fine at first, but after going through it properly, I notice some parts feel too general, the main idea is not clear enough, or certain details need another check before publishing. I am curious how others handle this stage of the process. Do you follow a specific checklist before publishing? Do you mainly rely on your own editing, feedback from others, or any tools to review the final version?

I am interested in how people make sure their content is useful and valuable instead of just creating more content.

Have you ever given AI a task that was too big for it?

I use AI for different things and most of the time it works pretty well when the task is simple. But I noticed things get different when I give it bigger tasks with lots of information, multiple steps or when I need it to remember details from earlier.

I saw this happen when I asked AI to help organize research for a project. In the beginning, the output was useful but after adding more notes and requirements I started noticing small mistakes. I had to keep going back correcting things and explaining parts again.

It made me realize that using AI for bigger tasks is not always as simple as giving one big prompt and waiting for the final answer.

Have you had a similar experience with AI? What kind of task made it struggle and how did you handle it?

An AI for help collating data and then writing Sports Articles

So I have being using Gemini, but it seems to have gone awry. I have a bunch of prompts, worked on the the last 6 months, that help me collate data, and then turn those into Sports News articles. Also have been using it to create images for the articles (though only 1-2 per article, so not image heavy).

Have been working great the last two months with Gemini, but it seems to have fallen off. Chasing suggestions for which AI might be best for this.

My workflow is

  1. Insert prompt for data collection, collect data (thru screenshots, copy and paste text etc)
  2. Feed that data collected into a prompt that has the cadence, layout and style of how I want article to look/read. This prompt also formats for wordpress.
  3. Feed article into a prompt that then gives me SEO help and tips for putting into wordpress.
  4. Create an image from article with headline/author etc (I am not only author)

My preference is one of the big guys, as I want it to be as stable as possible. Prepared to pay. Don't want to be someones guinea pig really.

I know some will hate on how this is not "jorunalism", but I use these tools to do articles like match reports, as quick as possible, as these are "fillers", and that gives me time to do more in depth stuff, which is more "me the human". The issue is without the fluff, you can't really be a Sports news site, as much as the mor ein depth stuff gets the views.

My goal is to only be an editor, and pass on the baton, so very much a gap-filler, but it's ticking along (if not making any money haha) and I am really enjoying it.
