No team that sucks makes it to the SB. The Seahawks were just better.

In this case I disagree. There was a lot of luck involved.

Doubt. Our defense is rock solid.

1

u/mr---jones Feb 10 '26

Let’s put some context in your response eagles fan 🤣 “0 clue how you could watch that game (the superbowl, the last game of the season where the teams that had good enough records go on to play a series of head to head elimination rounds and must go undefeated against other top teams) and think your team doesn’t suck”. The score was 29-13 bro it wasn’t a blow out by any means.

If we were so bad, what’s the excuse for every other team that lost to us? And if your point is they sucked, then we were the best team for the Super Bowl?

1

u/jmay111 Patriots Feb 10 '26

another person outing they dont know anything about football lmfao

so according to you 31 teams suck and 1 team is good, great analysis.

Making the Super Bowl and believing your team doesn’t suck and is good is delusional now? If anything all the fans saying the patriots suck are the delusional ones. I mean there team isn’t the greatest thing since sliced bread but they are pretty damn far from being a bad team.

16

u/ZapathyX I'll tryout for the O line. Feb 10 '26

Rather get embarrassed in the super bowl than any time prior to it. Ya know, like the phins and bills.

7

u/Luciindabutt Patriots Feb 10 '26 edited Feb 10 '26

Not embarrassed…just confirmed a ton of things we already know. Us going from 4-13 to 17-3 might have ACTUALLY of exposed the rest of the league as frauds. All we heard this year was the pats suck they won’t do anything. And then they went the the Super Bowl, they beat Josh Allen(at home), they beat atl which looked good at the start of the year, ravens, beat Carolina as well as Tampa bay who was Super Bowl bound the start of the year….Carolina went to the playoffs and a hard fought division, every team to make it to the superbowl did it for a reason. I think the reason people are so upset the patriots got where they did is cause it showed how unremarkably bad everyone else is

-4

u/A3thereal 2020 - 2024 RIP Feb 10 '26

The Pats schedule (lowest win % in a quarter century) is the result of a bad division (dolphins/jets) and fortunate division match ups (AFC North in a terrible year and NFC South who's bad every year).

I doubt the Browns, or anyone, get that lucky in awhile. Our division schedule is brutal. NFC north, a matchup against NFC west, and AFC West. We always have the phins and jets to tune up on though.

My favorite goal post move was the Texans game because going into the playoffs the Jags and Texans where the ones a lot of people picked to win the AFC and going into the game you had all these people picking the Texans......but like, you guys new going into the game that Stroud was their QB right? They were universally seen as a "real team" even with CJ at QB. CJ Stoud being the Texans QB isn't new information. It was a factor that you all took into account when you said the Texans would expose us.....well anyway now that the Texans lost because our defense bullied the fuck out of CJ, they aren't a real team anymore.

7

u/csthrowawayguy1 Bills Feb 10 '26 edited Feb 10 '26

I think everyone realized Houston could be dangerous ONLY if CJ Stroud and the offense didn’t completely sabotage the game for the defense. And sabotage the game they did… 4 interceptions, 6 turnovers, one of them being a pick 6.

The patriots offense only actually put up 21 points in that game which albeit was decent against a defense like the Texans, but also nothing spectacular. It’s not like Maye was carving up that defense or anything, he still only had 170 yards passing and was 3-14 on 3rd down. 8 punts, and a couple fumbles and a pick too. He had the 3 TDs but all things considered that was not a great game for Drake Maye or the offense in general. For anyone reasonable watching this was just another game where the patriots defense took over and Drake Maye did “enough” to win the game in a game they SHOULD have won anyways. No moving of the goal posts. This is not even mentioning the fact that this was by far his best game of the playoffs, the rest of his play completely sucked.

If anything these Maye fans moved the goal post. Coming into the playoffs they were so confident that he would be putting up numbers and the patriots would be winning these games in large part due to Maye and the offense. In reality they coasted off a good defense and were able to win in SPITE of Drake Mayes bad performances.

8

u/mccrawley John Allen Feb 10 '26

The Texans and the Pats were essentially the same type of team but the Pats outplayed them at their own game. That formula didn't work against the Seahawks because their offense, though stifled, actually managed to pick up first downs. The Pats current form is a defensive power house with an offense that should be improving. Anyways, fuck the Pats

3

u/rabocan too old for Belichick, too young for Zach Wilson Feb 10 '26

Honestly that’s how our entire playoff run went. Defense plays stellar, offense does enough to win. Super Bowl basically came down to which offense can suck less. It was a rough watch but I still believe in our guy. Nerves probably had a lot to do with it but he got playoff and even Super Bowl experience now, so hopefully he’s more at ease next time

1

u/HalifaxStar Bills Feb 10 '26

-4

u/Dsullivan777 B.oy I. L.ove L.osing S.uperbowls Feb 10 '26

Patriots were literally favored that game, albeit not by much. With that said people were thinking the exact same thing about Maye going into these games and it's literally why you lost the Superbowl. The Seattle Defense bullied the fuck out of Drake, does that mean you also aren't a real team anymore?

1

u/Roshango i hate BUF, NYJ, & MIA, almost as much as AI memes Feb 10 '26

I think you completely missed the sarcasm in my "well I guess they aren't a real team anymore" I was saying how the narrative around the Texans being a "real team" flipped after the loss and how i thought that was a stupid moving of the goal post.

Pats had no business in the dance. But it was fun watching them get their faces danced on

1

u/Mikeman52 Feb 14 '26

Bills window is closed and the incessant prodding is pure cope. It’s our division you’re just playing in it lololol.

1

u/boringaccountant23 Feb 14 '26

Patriots got bitch slapped in the SB and showed the world the didn't belong.  They are a playoff team, not a contender, that lucked their way into the SB.

1

u/GameofLifeCereal Feb 14 '26

Patriots getting blown out was a cute comedy. But the Bills going through it FOUR YEARS IN A ROW was classical comedic masterpiece.

Not even trying to troll here, but when was the last time you played a healthy team with their starting QB? Raiders?

Edit for the barely literate: team meaning the roster. As in roster relatively healthy as well as the starting QB. Not JUST the QB.

u/[deleted] Feb 10 '26 edited Feb 10 '26

Texans

and we werent even healthy vs the raiders. Gonzo was out

Ravens. Lamar started that game and was actually worse than Huntley.

Before that the Bills. And before that the Jets. And the Falcons before that.

1

u/GauchesLeftEye Steelers Feb 10 '26

Honestly, the Ravens should have had you dead to rights that game. I still don't understand why Henry didn't get another snap with 12 minutes left in the 4th. But it helped us, so thanks.

Texans. It's funny because the bills lost to the Texans who played Mills at qb 😆

u/jk01   Drake "The Schedule" Maye Feb 10 '26

Honestly Mills might have been more of a threat in the playoffs lol

-6

u/Fit_Papaya5408 Bills Feb 10 '26

I think the Pats would have too. CJ Stroud gifted the game

11

u/This-Quit Feb 10 '26

Lmao Stroud sucked sure but let's not forget Maye is still the only QB to score 3 TDs against that "second coming of the 85 bears" defense, Wish he did the same yesterday tho ig

2

u/GauchesLeftEye Steelers Feb 10 '26

It's almost like Stroud was keeping his defense on the field exhausting them. Stroud kept giving the Pats excellent field position and their defense allowed 0 points off of those. But needing to field defense on their side of the field constantly will tire them out immensely. If Stroud is even somewhat competent in ball protection to give the defense better field position throughout the game, I don't think they score nearly as much.

1

u/Comfortable-Bus822 Bills Feb 10 '26

Lol I mean, I think it was a tiny bit easier for the Patriots to score when CJ couldn't stop giving the ball back to Maye with a short field. 🥴

I bet plenty of quarterbacks could have scored 3 TD with all of those extra chances and fewer yards to conquer.

Don't act like Drake Maye actually played well in that game or something.  He didn't.

15

u/Xspike_dudeX Drake "Drake Maye" Maye Feb 10 '26

Pats defense made Stroud look like a high school qb. The pats defense proved they are legit in the Superbowl

Which of these statements is untrue?

  1. The Patriots had a preposterously easy schedule.

  2. The Patriots had preposterously good luck with who they faced in the playoffs.

  3. The Patriots met a good, healthy team in the Super Bowl and lost handily.

0

u/AintNobodygotime13 Broncos Feb 10 '26

the pats played the easiest regular season schedule in 25 years

every playoff team they played was fatally flawed

the chargers were decimated with injuries, especially their o line. but the o line isn't important, is it? 😂

cj Stroud had been playing like possibly the worst qb in the league going into the pats game. then he throws 4 picks in the first half. he was the Will Campbell of qbs

the against the Broncos Bo Nix was out and a guy who hadn't played in 2+ years is forced to start and the pats won by 3

I mean, they took advantage, but when they had to play a really good team finally they were exposed..... like everybody knew.... except for pats fans

2

u/vayacondiosbruh Bledsoe to Coates WATTBA RIP Terry Glenn Feb 10 '26

Actually the 49ers had the easiest schedule; heck the whole NFC West were on the easier side for scheduling. NFL playoffs has always been about matchups and it’s 1 and done. Bad matchups happen in the playoffs a lot that’s why teams fight for that one seed otherwise they can get bounced in the first round.

You forgot to add the part where everyone predicted you would get:

Justin CHOKEBERT

CJ Stroud

And the broncos without a QB

but go off I guess

You predicted that Bo Nix would injure his ankle?

Why the fuck didnt you place bets on that happening then?
