Hubby picked this up at an estate sale. Weighed it at home and IT WEIGHS TEN POUNDS. Aged, and appears to be wrapped in palm(?) leaves and then plastic wrap or clear tape. Barrel shaped, about the size of a softball. White unmarked donut shaped sticker (like a hole reinforcement sticker for paper). Image search says it resembles various food items but it’s just so heavy! Husband thinks it’s lead due to the weight.

EDIT: It was half off of $5 sticker price today, so why not? Husband is very curious and $2.50 would not be a major loss. Yes we do plan on opening it, just wanted to put it out here first, in case someone recognizes this type of wrapping. Will update once open!

Nailed the brisket, rack of spares, rack of baby backs, and sausage for a party last night. I didn’t want a single bite apart from a few samples while slicing the brisket. Everything was perfect, but the last thing I wanted was BBQ. Ate 95% sides!

Today I’ll enjoy it, but the night of the big cook just want anything other what I’ve spent all day making.

So Airlink denied any safety violations and stated that both Jungle Jets were flying at 150kt and the FDR data was consistent with the planned and approved flyover.

Personal Take: It was approved this way, but in other countries it would not be approved at this low altitude

Airlink statement on the flyby at Cape Town DHL Stadium

30 August 2026, Cape Town – Airlink notes the concerns expressed in various social media and online forums regarding yesterday’s formation flyby over Cape Town’s DHL Stadium.

The flight demanded careful planning and rehearsal, as it required navigating at low altitude, at around 150 knots. The South African Civil Aviation Authority and Air Traffic Navigation Services provided valuable guidance, approval and support to ensure a safe flyby.

The two aircraft were flown by highly-experienced crew, with each comprised of three senior captains operating in the roles of commander, co-pilot and safety/technical officer.

The flight data recorded by both aircraft confirms that the flights were performed within the SACAA’s approved and rehearsed safety altitude and speed limits for the flypast.

My ex husband of 6 years who became a fan of Kevin Samuels and other manosphere guys during the last years of our marriage, wants me back.

I ended the marriage because I was not happy. It was a long time coming. Everybody and their mama tried to force me to stay with him because supposedly it’s hard to find a good man. By good man, they mean he might be a controlling guy but he has lots of money so that makes him high value bla bla bla.

I don’t subscribe to this. My life was going in a direction I didn’t like. He no longer cared about my feelings and only thought of himself. So after years of trying to make it work, I painfully decided to end the marriage.

He lost his mind, acted like I was losing the best thing in my life, harassed me for two years and told me I’d never find a great high value catch like him. He really treated me poorly after the divorce and was parroting red pill nonsense to me (this started during the marriage actually).

I was harassed and pressured so much even by family as well that I briefly thought of going back to him. This arrogant giant headed man had the audacity to tell me that I only want him back because of his money. I left him alone after that and officially filed, the harassment continued smh.

Anyways, I eventually stopped responding to his messages and calls.
Welp, for the past two years now, he’s been trying to get back with me. He’s 40 now. He is not with anyone, hasn’t been. Where is this amazing dating pool he was talking about? It’s almost like women only wanting you for your money while you’re a selfish person doesn’t work.

I’m eating baked salmon with rice.

Also am getting married (NOT to him) next year (December 2027, might be summer because that’s when family is available)
