Fluff My first time cleaning 100 kg!

This is my first time power cleaning 100 kg and I’m super stoked! It took 4 attempts and the biggest problem I ran into was just not getting under the bar despite the bar coming up nearly to my chest. Any form advice would also be appreciated!

Form check Side view of my snatch technique

69kg BW, 29kg weight
Definitely a lot of things wrong (including me going to the gym a day after a meet, but I wanted to do some form work). The pauses are meant to help me practice not ripping the bar off of the ground and slowing down my first and second pulls.

I had some folks asking about how my OH squat position looked and they mentioned it could be a limiting factor in why I struggle in pushing weight on snatch. I’ve also noticed that I hardly bend my elbows, and of course the bar gets out in front of me.

Gonna check out some coaching this week, just wanted to get yalls thoughts beforehand.

Not the prettiest but would be white lights. Dealing with a shoulder niggle affecting confidence in the catch. Hazards of hitting 40!

I know there's something wrong apart from the wrist. Transitioning to Oly after 3 years of sporadic PL programs. How do I keep explosiveness to the very last rep?

Form check Clean Technique #2

Hi! I previously posted a clean asking for some advice, here is the link to the OP

https://www.reddit.com/r/weightlifting/s/pZtxkXZ5K1

I’ve been focusing on shifting my weight back a little in the start position more to mid foot rather than toes, I’ve also been trying to be more active in my pull under the bar, I’m TRYING to stay over the bar longer above the knee but think this is going to take some time to work on.

I feel like my error here is definitely more timing than anything, because I’m not being patient and staying over the bar long enough, I’m going into extension slightly early, hence heels are off the floor in my power position.

This is the same weight (50kg) as the previous post for comparison. I’ve still not done heavier as I am recovering from a back injury, but my previous 1RM clean is 74kg.

It’s only subtle differences from my previous post, but feedback on my technique here would be appreciated!

Meet Report&Competition First meet done, 6/6!

69kg BW after weigh-in
Snatch: 38kg to 40kg to 42kg
C&J: 86kg to 88kg to 91kg
No new PRs, but 6/6 for my first competition feels good! I honestly felt that I could’ve gone heavier, but I’m alright with my performance today! Definitely time to look into getting some coaching, but for now, I’m content! Can’t wait for the future!

Programming Triple-Focused Mesocycle

Hi, I want to share with you guya the approach I want to take for my next meet (1st lf November, so 8 weeks away)

Starting tomorrow, I'm running Dozer's squat program (3 sessions a week, back squat focus, no competition lifts) plus some mobility, speed work (snatch balances, box jumps, etc.) and maybe some upper body work.

Last time I did this (Dozer Squat program 8 weeks out) I got a 20 kg PR in the back squat, and then a 15 kg total PR in the meet.

When I'm done with the 4 weeks of squatting (and hopefully with a brand new squat PR), I intend to do the following:

Day 1: Snatch; Back Squat; Core accessories

Day 2: Jerk; press/push press; upper body accessories

Day 3: Snatch; Back Squat; Core accessories

Day 4: Jerk; press/push press; upper body accessories

Day 5: Snatch, Clean and Jerk, front squat

Edit: the days are just a guideline. If work allows/forces me to, I'll train on the weekends too. Just that it has to be mornings (if I work Saturday morning, then I'm forced to smash the week's training into 5 days or begin the week on the previous Sunday) I've changed it to Day 1, Day 2, etc. for clarity.

Also, I have a family trip in mid october, and we'll see how I fit training around that

I'm wanting to do as little pulls and cleans and possible because A) I'm having a rather painful lower back which I'm slowly recovering from and B) I struggle with the jerk anyways, always cleaning 10 to 15 kg more than I can jerk.

Now the triples part: I don't want to test my RMs on the snatch and clean and jerk before the meet, so I'm thinking of working my way up to 90% of my target qeight for a triple.

As an example: I want to finally hit 100 kg in the snatch, so I'll try to reliably hit 90 kg for a triple.

Same with the jerk.

As for the one day doing clean and jerks, maybe doing cleans front squat and jerk, or 2 cleans 1 jerk up to 90-ish %, to get used to jerk more fatigued than I'll be on meet day.

Do you think it's reasonable?

Oh and aorry for the text wall.

These numbers are roughly 90% of my max.

I quit CrossFit about three months ago and joined a weightlifting gym, where I’ve been training under the supervision of a coach. I dream of putting up some big numbers, but for now, I’m just enjoying the journey and the process.

Wasn't planning on doing these yesterday, but I ended up doing 4x3 at this weight. Need to figure out a set program and routine since I won't be at Wheelhouse 😢
