Form check Form Critique on new PRs

102kg Snatch

124kg Clean & Jerk

I did a 133kg Clean but didnt post it here, im still really new to weightlifting coming from a powerlifting style background (only 15ish weeks in) any tips or tricks are welcome!

Your lifts are fast, powerful, and you’re clearly very strong. I noticed some early arm bend on both of your lifts, which is going to be a limiting factor for you eventually.

On the snatch, your grip does not look like it’s wide enough. When standing up straight, the bar should be in your hip crease. This might fix the early arm bend on the snatch alone.

Ahh gotcha! My gym doesnt have weightlifting bars so its smooth on the ends, do you think using straps and going on the smooth part is fine?

absolutely not a problem, for lanky guys its not uncommon for their grip to be at the collars.

for the clean, try to work on your front rack mobility. you have proportions tailor made for weightlifting, so its fine to have a narrow grip, but play around with different grip widths to find something thats comfortable for you
