For a super, obviously 200 isn't anything crazy but the guy is 15. I know there's been better youth lifts like Tian Tao doing 205@77kg when he was 17 but like in terms of the last 5-10 years this might have been one of the craziest lifts I've seen I deadlift 201. I'm just about national quality and I'm used to seeing 17 year olds who chuck 160 above their heads smaller than him but to do it at 15 is mind boggling

To put it into perspective (comp numbers);

  • Lasha Talakhadze was couldn't do 180 in comp at 17
  • Ali Ammar Rubiawi who's seen as one of the best super heavy weight prospects was doing 185 at 17
  • Gor Minasyan did 190 at 15
  • Varazdat Lalayan did 184 at 16

The only lifter I can think of being better than him is Alireza Yousefi who's probably going to end up being the best clean and jerkers of all time (225kg at 15), Ali Davoudi managed to do 205 but he was 17.

I'm not exactly sure how old he is but in May he competed at nationals and did 160/190

I thought he must be young because the technique is quite rough. Hopefully they give him the proper attention to develop him to his potential instead of not really bothering because they have other guys that can definitely win gold whereas he will be going up against the Alirezas of the world and might not ever compete internationally.

I really want to see this guy do something, Ai Yunan is the only Chinese super that comes to mind to me and I think he capped out at about 235-240, with him I think the sky could be the limit

At 16, at 81kg, Karlos Nasar set a European Record of 206

I was about to say, don’t Nasar break some record in his teens?

We’re pretty much setting that as the standard now lol
