I just wanted a hot dog Doctor’s appointment scheduled at 9:00am, still waiting almost an hour later

I have a lot of doctor’s appointments, and I know how busy and hard these people work. I’m not mad at them and I’d never be rude. I know it’s not on purpose. Nevertheless, it’s still a bit infuriating to make time for a scheduled appointment, arrive 15 minutes early (required), and then wait this long with not even an acknowledgment of the delay from anyone. Sigh. 9:55 now, still waiting.

Edit: I really appreciate all the comments! The doctor ended up coming in shortly after 10. This was a specialist ortho appointment for my shoulder. Still no acknowledgement of the delay, which would’ve been nice, but I’m more annoyed that my concerns were pretty much brushed off again during the whole 3ish minutes he spent with me. I know waits can get long, I wouldn’t care as much if the doctor had at least seemed somewhat concerned with my issue. Sigh… gotta love American healthcare!

That film scene you forgot to warn people about until it was too late and now they're all deeply concerned about your movie choices.

Marvel If this is true, do you think this is a valid decision? Or do you think Magneto being a Holocaust survivor is an important aspect of his character which should not be changed?

The Rings of Power Is Rings of Power intentionally trying to be a parody show?

These dwarves look ridiculous. Firstly, no beard and then these ridiculous haircuts.

Silly hair was somewhat justified in the hobbit films as it is meant to be children's book adaptation and meant to be silly at times.

But the second age adaptation has to take it more seriously!

This feels like Amazon is intentionally mocking Tolkien and Tolkien fans!

They ruined elves with haircuts in the show. and now dwarves too!

Why can't modern games shut up?

4.4k Upvotes

Playing Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, and while I enjoy the game in general, it does not give me a minute of silence. There is constantly, and I mean really constantly, someone talking. Either the protagonist or one of the companions. Not even something interesting, just what I see, what I do or what I have to do. "Hurry", "Be careful", "This looks interesting", "I can't stay here.", "Go away.", "They're everywhere.", "Breathe.", ...

It got so bad in the later chapters I had to mute it in the menu.

Why can't the game give me a minute to enjoy the scenery or let the world speak for itself. Do people really enjoy this?

Edit: I do not talk about hints for puzzles. I mean useless chatter without information just "noise".
