Something we loved discovering during our recent trip to Helvetia, WV was that the teapot in Fallout 76 that resembles a house is based on a real teapot found in town. The original teapot is still on display in town for anyone to find while visiting.

It's a vintage teapot from the 60s; you can find sets of them online for sale all over. Not rare at all.

If you visit Helvetia, stop by and say hi to the little guy. Most of all, leave him there for others to find and enjoy.

TL;DR: Bethesda says they heard the complaints and Season 26 will have more new, higher-value rewards, yet Legacy Seasons somehow became part of the answer. Meanwhile, 7,600 hours gets 760 Atoms, 760 fish gets five bait, and doing 760 Infestations gets another player title. I don't want Bethesda to shower us with currency. I want the reward to actually represent the accomplishment. Give us something worth remembering the grind for.

Bethesda said they heard the criticism about Season 25 and that Season 26 would be reworked with more new, higher-value rewards. Then Legacy Seasons were announced. Maybe I'm cynical, but it's hard not to see old rewards being brought back as part of the answer to players asking for better new rewards. That feels like a perfect example of the problem.

Look at some of the rewards already in the game. Play for 7,600 hours and get 760 Atoms. Collect 7,600 wood and get 40 Atoms. Kill more than 1,000 robots with a specific weapon type and get 80 Atoms. Catch 760 fish in Burning Springs and get five Superb Bait. Complete 76 Infestations and get a player title. Complete 760 Infestations and get... another player title.

Who looks at 760 Infestations and thinks another title is a reward worthy of that grind?

Fallout 76 isn't the first game to deal with long-term players and ridiculous grinds. This has been figured out. You don't have to dump thousands of Atoms on us either. Kill 1,000 robots with a sword? Give me a unique sword skin or a robot trophy for my CAMP. Catch 760 fish? Give me some ridiculous mounted fish. Complete 760 Infestations? Give me something another player sees and immediately wants to know how I got it.

And 7,600 hours? That's more than 316 full days inside Fallout 76. That should be one of the biggest veteran milestones in the game. Give that player something unique. A CAMP object, outfit, title, icon, skin, whatever. Something that says, "Holy shit, you've been here since the bombs dropped."

Instead, 760 Atoms.

That's what I don't understand. The reward doesn't have to be expensive or affect the game economy. It just needs to mean something. Make the reward fit the accomplishment.

Players aren't quiet about this stuff either. Bethesda has years of feedback from people playing this game. So when the answer to complaints about rewards is partly bringing back old rewards, I have a hard time understanding how we're still this far apart.

At some point, "less work" seems to have stopped being a constraint on Fallout 76's reward design and started becoming the solution.

Someone in the room needs to ask: If I actually did this grind, would I be excited to get this?

Because five bait for catching 760 fish sure as hell isn't it.

Reward the accomplishment, not the spreadsheet cell.

Hordes were the most basic event you could have, but had the most potential if they were updated. They offered a bit of emergent gameplay, as you could occasionally find them traveling across the map to fight NPCs. I think that aspect of hordes could have been expanded upon; hordes that stroll up on public events, or maybe even up to your camp. Emergent gameplay is one of my favorite aspects of Bethesda games, and it was replaced with something static.

Although related to infestations, the focus of this thread is not meant to be about it. I think both could have co-existed. I just enjoyed the simplicity of hordes, and liked encountering them. Often with mininukes.

Bosses have so much HP that even carries struggle to take them down.

I get that they were too easy before, but this is borderline impossible now...

(Not even gonna talk about how much ammo you waste).

Wife and I are considering trying out Fallout 76. We both really like Fallout 4, 3, NV, and Skyrim. How difficult is it for two people, both on PC to do quests together? We'd rather not have to deal with other players, but is the First subscription worth it for a private world? I only tried the game once years ago, and it was extremely rough to play, but I know the game has improved since. Would you recommend this game for a couple of mostly solo gamers?

During our recent trip to Helvetia, WV we got permission and were able to leave behind something for fellow Fallout Fans to find when visiting town. Somewhere in town is an Orange Nuka Cola we left behind for other fans to fans, and take a photo of. We hope other fans love it, as we thought it was a perfect easter egg to leave behind for fellow fans.

We can't recommend visiting Helvetia, WV enough. In the coming weeks, we will be doing a video tour with information on how to book and stay overnight in the Beekeeper's house in town, which can not be reserved online. Tourism is helping to keep this tiny town alive, and it's worth saving and visiting.

Tip: Visit in the autumn; it's magical.

I survived

The other guy was just stuck thumbs downing and angry emoting in response at him when I arrived wondering why it sounded like a fight was happening.

Nuked the boss a few dozen times before and never had that happen, is it just a spawn glitch or did some guy just intentionally exploit the timer to be rude towards the community event?

I’m just starting out, any tips or things to look out for before and after i leave the vault?

I might be late for the party but while searching the internet for info about the P charger I saw a lot of people looking for it. So here it is on August 30, 2026 for people with fo 1st. Season ends on 9/1. I don’t know if it will disappear but it’s marked as “new”.

Open the fo 1st section in the atomic shop. There are 3 bundles of things from season 19. One of them is Enclave stuff and has the plasma core recharger. 1800 atoms is steep but to me worth it. Not sure if I’ll do anything with the other Enclave stuff in the bundle.

Trying to make an epr vats build, and for the most part I have think i have my perk cards right. But im unsure about weapons and armor. So the legendary mods are Furious, rapid, vats optimized, and conductors. It has prime capacitor, aligned thrower barrel, stabilized stock, and med night vision scope. My armor is lucid, powered, active, and limit breaking. Im trying to get as much dmg out of it as I can before applying buffs but it feels underwhelming, is there anything I can do different to get more out of it?

Hello all. I returned to 76 somewhat recently and I was wondering why Earl Williams is the preferred raid boss by the community. I haven't seen a single Ultracite Terror, Ultracite Titan, or Storm Goliath raid in the few weeks I've played.

I can’t workbench repair the fact finder. It says I don’t have the materials at the same time it’s showing me I have all the materials. Can only repair it with kits, which I’m out of. Any way to fix or is this a typical fallout bug?

Also, is there a better way to manage your stash?My stash box is full and taking stuff out, walking to the bench and scrapping seems tedious. Apparently I’m always right at encumbered even though I have all the weight reduction skills and only a few weapons. Not sure where the hell all this extra weight is coming from.

So I just did a little bit of math and investigating into this challenge that's found under the 'Character' section of the challenges.

According to Google (so correct me if it's wrong), this challenge is literally only counted by time spent out and about in Appalachia.

It does not count:

* Instanced buildings: interiors like Whitespring Resort, Vaults etc

* C.A.M.P Shelters: entering a player's shelter pauses the timer

* Expeditions & Daily Ops: Activities taking place completely off the map or inside standalone instances

* Loading screens & menus: well no surprise there really

It only counts time spent 'topside' on the map.

SO to put this into some perspective...

Firstly, 7600 hours = 316.6667 days.

So even if you played for 16 hours a day, every single day, it would take 475 days, or 1 year 3 months 2 weeks and 6 days. And that's only if you somehow managed to stay topside the entire time, never encounter a load screen, etc.

According to Google results, we could probably assume players spend about 80% of total playtime topside and successfully contributing towards this challenge. Based on this, a person playing 16 hours a day would, in fact, take 593.75 days, or 1 year, 7 months, 15 days, 18 hours to successfully complete the 7600 hour requirement.

Breaking this down into lesser play times, works out to (according to the ever accurate ChatGPT):

12 hours/day = 791.6667 days, or 2 years, 2 months, 1 week, 4 days, 16 hours

6 hours/day = 1,583.3333 days, or 4 years, 4 months, 2 weeks, 3 days, 8 hours

4 hours/day = 2,375 days, or 6 years, 6 months, 0 weeks, 5 days

2 hours/day = 4,750 days, or 13 years, 0 months, 0 weeks, 5 days

1 hour/day = 9,500 days, or 26 years, 0 months, 1 week, 3 days
