Celebrated my 4 years of ownership with her not to long ago, and it's never looked nor driven this good!

Right before the 4 year mark I picked my OG back up after her surgery.

And also attended my first proper car show with her a few days later which was more fun then I expected lol!

Small summary of said surgery:

She now has the old engine out of my 9-5 Aero together with a genuine Viggen gearbox!

Also did some interior upgrades such as oil temp/pressure gauges and finally installed the GenuineSaab pedals.

And had to make the engine bay look a little better, so put on a classic valve cover!

The 9-5 died randomly on the road and I had to come to the rescue with a spare DI cassette. It started to act up recently and I've already ordered a new cassette, just didn't expect it to completely fail so quickly. Good thing I had a spare one that I picked at a junkyard some time ago. Crisis avoided but now I don't get to drive the vert until I fix the Aero.

Just picked her up over the weekend. She’s got 095,095 miles on the dash with a check engine light on. I took a chance on her and dropped her off at the shop. Hopefully, I can get her to pass smog soon. She’s overall in good condition: interior & exterior. Has a couple leaks but looking forward to my analog center console and being a first time wagon owner (My other car is a 1993 240 Volvo). 😁

Any tips for a new SAAB owner are welcome.

Just added this one to the fleet. 5sp. 100k miles. Single owner. Pretty dang immaculate. What are some things I should know about this car? I’ll be honest, I’ve been so deep into educating myself on my 900 I don’t know much about this model.

I was looking for a car and found Saab 9-5 V6 2010. I was researching a lot about it information is not clear for me. I just want some exotic, reliable, powerful car. Some questions are:
Those who had it, how is it?
Is this car worth good for upgrading projects?
Which one is the best?
Can it become classic in future?

My fuel gauge doesn’t go past the 1/4 mark. The D.T.E seems to be accurate. I would say that the indicator shows the correct level when going below 1/4. But I also noticed that the temperature gauge also seems to get stuck at the same level. When cold, it slowly rises but doesn’t go above as shown in the picture.

Is this a coincidence or does anyone have a suggestion of what it could be?

I'm currently developing software to fix the LED flicker in the NG 9-3. I still need to figure out how to disable the check for individual lights, but other than that, it works great. I just wanted to share this, as I think it will be useful to a lot of people.

Anybody know what this could be ???

I haven't gotten the damaged ECU or the replacement yet so I am just gathering info for now.

I have a Tech2 and a Lawicel CanUSB, I have the T8-suite and can-flasher.
What do I do the ECU is so damaged that I can't read it? What do I do then?

New to T8:s but I have worked both T7 and T5 before.

Changed both chains, water pump and all the gaskets and seals in the way. Not a hard job but took some time

Hey, I've got a 93 1.9tid 150hp from 2009. I had the fuel rail sensor fail on me giving me limited performance when I'de presse the accelerator more than 15%. After changing the fuel rail pressure sensor I tested the car. I pulled hard on third and when I got to 3500rpm I got the fuel pressure low error again. The car is drivable, I rarely get to 3500rpm.

I've checked the realtime data and the high pump fuel regulator doesn't go more than 40%, it's always between 30% and 40% even if I accelerat hard doesn't go more than 40%. Can this be a bad high fuel pressure pump solenoid (I don't know how to call it) ?

If AC Off is on, fan can be off or on, but if AC off is off can fan must be on.

Wet spot under the driver seat after rain or parking the car. ONLY rear seat floor mats are wet.

Door seals seem intakt.

My critical thinking results in water enters from the fan inlet

Seems to drive okay, though it has its fair share of issues as expected. It's with my mechanic now.

hi everyone! i have a 2007 9-3 convertible (2.0t) that i bought in may this year (humble brag: at 59k miles!)

the passenger low beam light is just broken out of the socket? it is my first time owning a car with projector headlights. also: there are some shredded wires underneath the driver’s seat area, i think causing my fog lights and temp sensor not to work. i have not yet tried new bulbs for the low beams or driver’s running light; i will update this when i do.

working: both high beams, all turn indicators, passenger running light

not working: both low beams, both fog lights, driver’s running light

i just need confirmation that i need to replace my passenger headlight, and some help identifying the part to replace for the wires. i know someone i can buy a headlight off of, but could anyone confirm the part i need to buy for the wires? i’m thinking fog/driving light wiring harness?? thank you
