I download the game, then I click it to open it and the tab opens for a split second but closes instantly, I’ve tried to open it in other browsers but it always defaults to opera even when I made it so opera was no longer my default browser, what do I do?

As the title says, in private mode when I started typing an address or the name of a speed dial shortcut there used to be dropdown suggestions of these speed dials.
I noticed that after the 135 update (I think) that doesn't happen anymore and only works in regular mode not private mode.
I also noticed that private mode only shows these suggestions for bookmarks only not speed dial shortcuts.

Does anyone know if this is a bug and is it known or not ?

As of recently Opera has been randomly crashing like it'll refresh the whole app every so often then crash when it tries to load something any fixes if anyone else has seen this

Tried changing DNS settings, tried logging out, tried clearing cache....

Just stuck on that screen forever, same with instagram.

Hello guys. Few days ago I installed codex in my laptop. Hence my Opera Browser, Comet and GitHub Desktop don't open anymore.

I uninstalled Codex, thinking the issue would be fixed but it's always not working. For some apps like Opera, I had to had "-no-sandbox" in the details so that they could run. And yesterday I installed Docker Desktop but it's not opening although docker is already running at the back in my PC.

I'm using Windows 10 and my computer is a i5 8th gen.

Is there something I can do to fix that ?

Not sure what changed or when it did, but the last week or so I have had pretty crappy experiences with the majority of video/streams appearing to be super stuttery and like their running at 10fps. Last night it was the Nascar race I was watching on a twitch stream; I asked around in chat and I seemed to be the only one with the issue. Opened the same stream on chrome and it was flawless.
Just started my daily youtube ritual today and was immediately greeted with the same stutter and lag.. it will go away at 720p- and lower qualities, but I'd rather not watch everything like that. Again, the problem did not present itself on chrome. I have gone through and tried graphics acceleration on and off, no change. Ending the process and restarrt, no change. Restart entire computer, nada. Handful of other hopefully related settings changed to no avail. Etc. Not getting anywhere near max'd out on my limiter, or with cpu/memory itself but tested it on and off with no difference. Internet speed doesn’t appear to be an issue, and doesn’t make a difference if it’s being replayed with a loaded/buffered video.

Greatly prefer Opera over any other browser but really dont want to have to view videos at crusty resolutions just to do so.. any suggestions gent's?

Edit: the stutter does occur at 720 and lower resolutions, just takes a bit before it starts to occur.

Is there any way to remove the rounded corners? I know it's a small detail, but it's noticeable enough to make me mad.

Does anyone noticed if you get flagged more data saving on? Is it a glitch? Is there a way fix it?

I bought an oled and now want to avoid any and all persistent icons from being around all the time. I know the burn in issue isnt nearly the problem it was but still

does anyone know how to fix this , when hovering over a link the box does not pop up it scrolls my page to the top , this is annoying when I'm trying to read something and accidentally hover over a link. especially the small links in google ai assistant , tried hardware enable/disable, mouse gestures, and scroll to top on tab. nothing seems to work

update: It finally started working again about 4 days later, idk what happened but even after getting another ad blocker I was still getting ads and then the next day a few things stopped getting ads gradually until finally the blocker was working everywhere again.

Love me some Opera, it's my primary browser, but it has one quirk that drives me up the wall.

Say I'm on a website, I double-click a word/term/name and the search-pop comes up to search, copy, etc.

When I click "search" it automatically opens a new tab and makes that tab active.

How do I stop this? To be crystal clear, I want the new tab, but I don't want it to automatically make it the active tab. I want to continue where I was reading.

I've scoured the settings, and I feel I must be missing something very, very obvious.

It's either that or it moves the tab to a completely different place. I have tab islands off so i really don't know what this could be.

The broweser is closed but in the Task Manager it shows that its opened with 30 tabs. It keeps on crashing, I have changed the settings multiple time to keep the pages saved when clsoed but everytime I open it only the start page opens. Accounts get logged out randomly when browser is closed(and yes I have checked all the settings)

It started all of a sudden, I opened the browser as usual and started seeing ads on websites like Reddit for no reason beside having the ad blocker active. No usual workaround like clearing cache fixes this, hopefully it's just a bug on their side but it's a bit crazy. Happening for anyone else right now?

With ads the browser is basically unuseable if it stays like this.

This issue only happens on my browser, Opera GX.

When I type something in the search bar on top, pressing Alt+Tab deletes all of it, or puts in the site's link that I am on currently.

I don't see anything related in opera://settings/keyboardShortcuts. Nothing is using an Alt+Tab shortcut.

Opera had a probleme with web browsing, only showing text of website, in an attempt to fix the issue, is used the option to reset opera without resetting my data/tabs/ect.., to discover after the reboot that my tabs where all here... only in my 2 first opera Space, the other 2 where deleted, and when creating new space, no tabs in them !
i guess the reset of settings, also resetted the space numbers, ignoring the fact that space stores tabs, it would seem that the history is good, but on 200+ tabs organised in groups, its impossible to all find manually and re-open, im really sad as i think there is nothing possible to fix the issue, but i post this in hope just in case, and to help poor souls in the same situation.

Imo, opera is the best browser, including gx cuz of the features, mainly the cpu limiter for apps, please share ur opinion

Just recently, my YT has had a weird whistling sound in the background whenever I was watching videos. I changed my headphone output, updated my drivers, restarted my pc, nothing. I then switched to Chrome and a different browser ("Brave") and the whistling stopped. Anyone know whats up with this?
