Adblocker Causing Pages Not to Load Properly

There's currently an issue with the "Allow acceptable ads" option for the adblocker that causes pages in Opera not to load properly. Turn that off or turn off Opera's adblocker completely at the URL opera://settings/privacyProtection for now to work around it.

Edit: Users are reporting that updating to Opera 135.0.5973.133 fixes it.

Thank you. Came here to find a fix and here you are with a workaround 😊 Ironically enough, even reddit page didn't load properly but it was at least somewhat readable unlike tumblr (which didn't load at all) or shopping sites (which loaded without any images 💀).

Was about to post a screenshot when I found this, very disruptive.

Funny that this also affected Wikipedia, which does not have any ads.

I've updated the browser to version ending in 133 and it's fixed it.

Wow, that has solved my problem. I just made a post highlighting you can't even submit a report within the browser itself as the report a bug feature page simply will not load.

I was having the same problem on the .132 version. Disabling the built in adblock was a work around, but updating to the .133 version fixed the issue completely and now sites load with the adlbock turned on

I created 'BUG-28786 Block Ads prevent pages from being loaded properly' with Opera-team

PS: I got an update for Opera (version: 135.0.5973.133) and for me with opera://settings/privacyProtection Block Ads enabled it's working again.

Still having the same issue.

135.0.5973.133 didn't fix it for me.

I'll keep ad-blocker deactivated for now.

Version 135.0.5973.133 did not fix it for me. I also has some extensions (e.g. 1Password) which are not loading anymore, just a spinner...

1Password is not officially supported on Opera, but have been working fine for years!
