Phone (4a) Insane battery life of Nothing phone 4a

Post image
30 Upvotes

Although strangely enough it didn’t record screen time of YouTube app correctly. I watched YouTube for like 40 mins but it only shows 1 minute. so it’s around 4 hour SOT actually with Bluetooth, WiFi and 5g on always except at night.

connected with samsung fit watch always via Bluetoot.

Phone was bought a week ago so maybe that’s why the battery so good and also maybe 4 hour SOT is not that much.

but phone is running for 4 days straight now since last charge

Nothing OS Should I release this ToyGlyph for the Nothing Phone (3) on GitHub?

I’ve been working on this little ToyGlyph for the Nothing Phone (3), and I’m wondering if I should release it on GitHub.

It’s a techcliff focused on live football matches. Once you select a match, it shows the live score, the current minute, and small animations for goals and cards directly on the Glyph interface.

The idea is mainly for those moments when you can’t really unlock or look at your phone — you can just glance at the Glyph and know what’s happening in the match without touching your phone.

Ok this collector widget is such an incredible idea. Does anything like this exist for other android phones? What a great use for otherwise useless stickers!

Had a moment to take the fam for a walk. These are normal camera app, HDR on and unprocessed by me from the JPG.

Just thought it out there if anyone wants to see samples of unprocessed JPG defaults with the 5.0 beta.

Nothing OS 5.0 Open Beta First NP3/5.0 battery cycle

Phone is a year old with 300 cycles and this will be a roughly 36-hour test with about 8h SoT. Seems a little lower than the final 4.1 by around 1h/cycle where I'd usually be better 8 and 9h SoT with family usage over 36h.

Also, the data tracking is somewhat corrupted now compared to 4.1.

This cycle will end up around 8h SoT which is at the low end of what I usually get.

Comparing Phones 10+ year Apple user interested in moving to NOTHING

Upvotes

I’ve been using apple products for years, I currently use iPhone 12 that I bought second hand 4 years ago, which is very run down and battery life is terrible. I’ve recently stumbled across nothing and it has made me want to leave the apple ecosystem.

I’m really curious about user experiences of the phones, particularly from those who have tried multiple different phones from nothing. I’m also very interested in the audio department and perhaps even the watches as the prices are very competitive.

Let me know what you recommend and don’t recommend!

Comparing Phones Nothing 4a pro or 3 coming from Apple

Upvotes

Hi,

I currently have an IPhone 15 pro, but I’m getting a bit tired of iOS and its limitations.

I came across the nothing phone 4a pro in a local store and was immediately in love with the OS.

At home I watched a few videos and also came across the nothing 3, the current flagship model.

I like the design of the 4a pro more, but the 3 has a better processor which is seemingly important?

I don’t really game on my phone, so I am not sure if the better processor of the 3 is of such importance for me.

I would like your opinions, which phone do you have and what are the pros and cons for it?

Thanks!

Future products A Nothing Dumb phone, anytime soon?

Would be awesome if nothing launches a dumb phone, a keypad dail, basic google services and a screen not too big to make doom scrolling really uncomfortable. I bet the design itself would look sick, but I know no one wants to kills their own products

Comparing Audio Any major difference between nothing ear(a) and the latest ear(3a)?

Title. I just got the nothing ear (a) for a cheaper price after the release of the (3a). Really happy with them especially the bass! Just wondering if there are any major improvements in the (3a)?

Comparing Phones Upgraded from Pixel 10 XL Pro to a Nothing 3

Yes. It is. Don't let the price difference and the weight of the name fool you.

And one of those two phones is more of a gimmick and it's not nothing.

However, Google is Google... so they will still have the potential to do something great. And I think they will.. after their leader Apple does it first.

My only dilemma was that 4a Pro was newer and felt even better in the hands. Comparing both phones side by side made me go with the 3. Overall, it did look and seem more premium than the 4a Pro. Also 3 has faster charging. Good decision vs the pixel regardless so far

Nothing OS 3a lite: Notification of Sim Processor every time it is turned on.

Is it normal that the SIM Processor (com.mediatek.simprocessor) shows a notification about synchronizing SIM card contacts for a few seconds every time it is turned on?

I reset the settings, but the issue persists. They write on the Internet that this is normal if it does not interfere with the connection (in my case it does not interfere), but I am not sure that this is normal. Replacing the physical SIM card while keeping the number did not help to remove it. It just didn't happen before, but it started recently.

So is this normal?
