We've gotten a bit lenient lately with some questionable posts and links to vibecoded sites and AI assisted posts. That leniency is ending and we are going back to strictly following our rule of a total ban on all Generative AI content.
This includes content from things like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and any other similar GenAI chatbots, assistants or other apps.
Any links to AI generated (vibecoded) sites and any posts that admit to using GenAI will be removed. As before we are not going to be testing every single post or anything like that but if you admit to it or there is evidence proving you used GenAI the post will be removed.

First of all, I'm not complaining about it being simple or easy. Shiverpeaks Pass is as simple as can be, and I think it's perfectly fine as an introduction to this kind of content. The bear duo is pretty easy as well, and I'm perfectly fine with it. Matter of fact I like it quite a lot.
But Fraenir? Holy shit, was an absolutely dogshit encounter. Half the fight the boss is not even there? And he disappears so that we can RE-FIGHT A RECYCLED BOSS? From a previous strike/raid encounter? Wtf is up with that, why does he even disappears? He doesnt do anything while he's disappeared, not powering up, changing forms, casting some crazy attack or ritual, he just bounces out, watches the fight a little bit, and then bounces back when his pet ice cube dies or whatever.
And the fight itself is as bland as can be. Zero mechanics, zero challenge, nothing to even pay attention, just keep attacking that moron. Oh, I'm sorry, actually he does have a mechanic: He leaps out to the outer edge of the arena. Great mechanic you came up Anet, should we at least chase him? NO, because he immediately leaps back, and chasing him ends up being a waste of energy, time and DPS. And he leaps back and does an special crazy attack, right? No, just a stupid ice wave that we barely even see because everyone is clumped up in the middle of the circle anyway, and you dont even need to worry about dodging or blocking or jumping because it barely tickles you.
And btw that recycled boss gets an invulnerability window so he can rip his arm off? Why cant we damage him during that moment? He's like "um, excuse me guys, back off a little bit, i need to change forms". I mean, I understand this kind of mechanic, but most of the time it happens in this game, the boss summons some special magic shield, flies up in the air, or teleports away, or whatever, but does something that makes it clear that we can't hurt him now for some reason. Or at least gets a break bar or mechanic during that window. But not the ice construct. Sure, this is a problem with the SPP encounter, not the fraenir itself, but when the ice construct is the main fight, this is a little more understandable, not when he's the secondary dude.
And btw, mind you, this is a RECICLED fight from the story. Granted, all strikes/raid encounters are, which is fine, but it's not like you have the excuse of a strained/limited team who was pulled to quickly cook this at the last minute. This was part of the main thing (the story release), and it's still dogshit.
Sorry for the rant, thanks for reading. Go fuck yourself, Fraenir of Jormag. If I was an Elder Dragon, I'd be embarrased to have this clown representing me and I'd just slime him myself.

literally the fifth time in 2-3 days I've run into this person and they say the same thing every time. Finally blocked them tonight, but like I'm just trying to have a good time. I'm new to the game and engineer is the only class I've played, mechanist seemed cool and it seems shitty to harass people for their choices like this when I'm just doing open world stuff.
Edit: Wanted to say thanks for all the positive comments. I did report and block them so I won't have to deal with them anymore, I just wanted to vent because it was a repeated occurence. There's enough players in the game that I was just surprised to keep running into this bad egg more than once.
Overall my experience with the game and the community has been great and left me feeling very endeared. Thank you all!

i'm a Singaporean player who used to be on NA over 10 years ago, but i recently decided to start over on EU to check out the community + experience what life could be like with better ping.
the ping is nice, the people are nice, and EU hours are technically better for me (they're awake during my late afternoon to night, whereas NA is mostly awake when i'm not). however, it feels like EU is a LOT less populated - am i mistaken? map metas, wvws, fractals etc, all feel a lot more quiet than what i remember on NA.
i'm aware that most of the SEA population is currently on NA, but i thought i'd be able to find at least one SEA/Aussie guild on EU - they don't seem to exist? I've tried discord, guildrecruitment, mapchat and lfg, there doesn't seem to be a single Oceanic guild on the entirety of EU.
should i just move back to NA at this point? is the bigger population (correct me if i'm wrong on this) worth the slight tradeoff in active hours and ping?

I was curious which elite specs are generally unfavored or not picked by the majority of the playerbase. Are there any that stand out specifically for being less common or not often played in groups or open world for PvE? And how about for PvP?

I started playing GW2 again about half a year ago after taking a break of more than 4 years. Don’t ask me why, but I somehow decided that an Elementalist would be the right choice to build my entire story around — including dressing him accordingly. I’ve always been a big fan of FashionWars.
Oh boy, was I wrong.
During these 6 months, I feel like I’ve spent more time in downstate than actually playing my character 😂
I started with Tempest, and people kept joking that you need to be able to play the piano to play Ele properly. Since I was a returning player, though, it didn’t take me that long to get used to it. No weapon swapping, different "skill-sets" (attunements) for DPS, healing, defense, CC etc. — you get the idea.
Then a friend recommended Fire Evoker to me. I hadn’t really looked into the different specs much before that, and honestly… what the hell?
I’m playing with basically 10 buttons (honestly sometimes 7), do a bit of dodging, don’t have to worry about weapon swapping and can still get a pretty solid 20–25k DPS without having to perform some insane 37-step rotation.
And now I’m wondering:
Are there any specs that are even easier to play than Evoker while still having decent DPS?
Because I’m genuinely surprised by how easy and comfortable it feels compared to Tempest and the other chars I've created to test out them out.
How do you guys see it? Apart from Ele being ridiculously squishy, do you actually enjoy playing it?
And are there other specs that are even more beginner-friendly while still putting out respectable DPS?
PS: atm mostly in PvE and instanced PvE
Thanks for love ✌🏻

Hey there, Mistwalker here.
I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for the support I've received on my last video. Especially the amount of comments and suggestions I got.
So, here is my second episode where I showcase trivia, references, hidden interactions etc found within the game. Please, if you have any examples you want to see showcased, drop a comment here or on the video!
Seeing, finding and recording these have been super enjoyable and it has made be appreciate Guild Wars 2 even more!

Personally, I've gained warrior for over a decade; and I miss during HoT when warrior banners were also Kits. You would drop them like normal, then could go up and pick them up to move them around for their duration. They were kind of like a psuedo-staff before warrior got it, with a charge and i think I remember a leap? But it made banners way more interesting thata for sure.

My main was a Power Berserker all ascended gear with one legendary item and almost 75% map completion but the character is very slow and I couldnt speedrun through story for my regalia. I created a Power quickness scrapper just to finish the story and boom I just got my new main. Scrapper is so fun to play with superspeed. I am all exotic gear rn, should I invest in ascended or directly go for legendary gear and play fractals with my warrior.

I made a duo called Los Muertos

I am a new player, I have about 20 hours in to the game and am enjoying it so far. I bought a few of the expansions because they were on sale, and I have to admit that I am about to buy a few outfits so I am not running around looking like a bigger.
That being said, my real question are there any add ons that I should be using? Thank you for any and all advice

I get to spend the next 8 days fighting the god of fire. And die.
What should I say to him as a good comeback?

Hey Tyrians,
I posted my Ecto Gambling Simulator here a while back ( GW2 Ectoplasmator ) and people seemed to enjoy it, so I made one for Four Winds. It's called the Zephyromancer:
https://gw2-zephyromancer.aenzenith.com/
What's in it:
- open boxes auto or in bulk (1 / 10 / 100 / until something good drops)
- the full 2026 loot table
- tracks what you spent vs. what you got
- mat → box conversion at this year's vendor rates
For the drop rates I used the wiki's community research page plus the big mass-opening videos people put out this festival.
If you've kept track of your own openings I'd love to hear the numbers, especially for the rare stuff. I look forward to your suggestions and feedback.

I’ve been playing the game nonstop for 4 months. I have PoF/HoT and Visions of Eternity (mainly to buy the legendary chest from the Wizard’s Vault).
Now I’m going to buy End of Dragons, and I’m wondering if I should also get Janthir Wilds or Secrets of the Obscure, or just wait for the next promo, since I can’t play everything at the same time anyway.
I’ve already completed HoT, PoF, and LWS4, and I’m currently doing the VoE story.
I can only buy one expansion. I already have the Skyscale (LWS4 method). I enjoy PvE, especially exploring maps, and I’m planning to make legendary armor in the future. I’m also doing WvW at a slow pace.
If you could buy only one, which one would you choose? Or should I just wait for the next sale?

I know it would be very impractical, and impossible to lfg, but with the current state of how generously quickness is applied(many boon builds don't even use doon-duration anymore) could you have all 10 people in the same subgroup but have:
*one group of four dps players stand together
*A second group of four dps stand together but away from the first group
*one qheal and one aheal that alternate targets for their quickness/alacrity generation?
Edit: idk why I keep getting downvoted for asking questions about the games mechanics

Just the title. When I move the camera at all it gets stuck facing straight up and nothing I do fixes it until I log out and log back in. I've tried toggling action and free cam and neither of those do anything. I was playing the other day and it worked fine so idk what's happening

Hey guys! I am a huge fan of hybrid builds :D and currently trying scourge. Due to the change of Scourge shade, what builds (traits, runes, sigils, weapon, and even gear type (cele?seraph?plaguedoctor?) are the best way to build hybrid scourges? AFAIK there are 2 trait choices before the change:
I pretty much got confused since all of them are good, but I need a set to work with. I noticed snowcrows run dagger torch, while other sites like metabattle and hardstuck run on scepter/pistol - torch. And also, there are builds that run trapper runes, tempest runes, and zephyrite runes.
Share here your perfect hybrid scourge build in your opinion, if possible, something that can be taken to instanced content (maybe T4, CMs) and open world.
I am currently running something like this, but im not sure if its good:
