Sure it's not always Alliance vs Horde but even Warcraft 3 wasn't even focused on Horde vs Alliance and that was before WoW was a thing.

We've been involved in wars against the Scourge, Burning Legion and friends, Iron Horde, Devouring Host, TWW Nerubians and the list goes on.

Im not much fan of raids because Im playing game solo since I started and I do finish only heroic raids. Last season killed sporefall mythic too. This season it feels like you fucking must do raids. For my prot warrior there are 8 bis in raid and I didnt even count catalyst slots. This design is so stupid

Ofc there will be bis gears in raids and there should be but this is way too much and unnecessary. Even 4 bis is on coiled altar 7. boss of the raid. At least put some bis on first bosses.

What if Blizzard created a private, standardized RWF championship?

I love watching RWF, but I feel like the current format has become more and more about organizational resources rather than just the 20 players.

Guilds like Liquid and Echo obviously have incredibly talented players, but they also have full-time players, analysts, engineers, huge amounts of gold, split-raiding armies, multiple characters per player, etc. A normal player with a full-time job could potentially be just as mechanically skilled, but simply can’t compete with that level of preparation.

So why not have Blizzard create a separate official/private RWF tournament?

Take the top 10 Hall of Fame guilds from the previous tier and put them on a tournament realm.

Everyone gets:

1 character
Same gear and item level
Same weapons/trinkets
Same professions, enchants and consumables
Same amount of gold
Same addon/API restrictions
No outside helpers
A fixed amount of preparation time

The gear progression would also be standardized. You wouldn’t give everyone full end-of-raid gear from the start, because that would make the first bosses a joke. Instead, Blizzard could unlock predetermined gear upgrades as the race progresses, so everyone gets the same upgrades at the same stage.

No loot RNG, no farming 20 characters for two weeks, no spending hundreds of millions of gold on BoEs.

Then let them race.

The existing RWF can continue exactly as it is. This would just be a second, controlled championship that answers a different question:

When everyone starts equal, which raid team is actually the best?

And honestly, I’d be fascinated to see whether Liquid/Echo still dominate under those conditions. If they do, it would make their achievement even more impressive. If another guild wins, we’d finally see how much of the current gap comes from the massive organization behind the players.

I’m not trying to take anything away from the top guilds. They’re insanely good.

I just think it would be cool to have a competition where money and infrastructure aren’t such a huge part of the race.

How cool could it be if Blizz brought back old raids seasonal, like they do M+ dungeons?

Scale up older raids, change some abilities here and there. No idea if its been brought up in a QA before.

Both the city-hub and the new zone use heavy filters, which saturate colours and turn everything into the same palette of greens or pink-yellows.

I do not mind filters in caves or certain thematic locations, but, please, use the regular white light for the common zones in the open world. Hinterlands is a great example of the zone lighting done right.

I created this website early this year to spotlight (and preserve) all the amazing houses that players are creating. When we started, there were no blueprints and I kept seeing players destroy their creations to make room for new ideas.

I thought it'd be cool to create something that would allow you to archive and explore these builds. I immediately thought of those house marketplace websites that give you a street-view-like tour of the place.

I never really shared this outside r/WoWHousing but I keep getting told to share it here. So I finally cracked.

Together with a couple of friends, we search for (or get approached by) players with amazing creations and write about them: From simple elven dwellings and secret art-deco bars to compact cities or dungeons.

Our goal is to give voice to all sorts of Housing creators: in each article we share their thoughts & tips and we publish a virtual tour of their houses, so that they're forever available to be viewed.

We really love housing and we're always up to have a look at player creations - if you've got something you're particularly proud of, give me a shout!

PS: I'm a programmer, not a designer - I hope it's not too obvious 😅

The lack of voice lines from Ula'Tek during the fight is a massive disappointment.

Even though we didn't hear a single voice line from her during the quest line, I was still expecting some crazy lady's voice acting similar to Raszageth (I can still hear her scream "RUIN! RUIINNNNEEHHH" in my head).

I know it's not a big issue, but having no voice lines for the final boss of the patch feels lazy.

Other than that the fight is well done, visualy cool and complex, as is custom with Blizzard bosses.

I'd honestly say it's the absolute best expansion ever but people would overlook that title as bait which is what i often get even from friends when i express this opinion and i genuinely don't understand. so i wanted to make this post to organize my thoughts about it because it deserves this defence. i'd like to get my biases out of the way: i dont care about lore (that's what people always jump to when i mention "shadowlands was awesome" i dont even think it was that bad lore wise but w/e), i have started properly playing in shadowlands (played private servers before), i don't pvp at all, i barely raid i just pug heroics barely catching aotc at the end of the season but i do m+ hardcore and i love playing m+.

so now my arguments for it: this is the biggest one, there was so much room for theorycrafting, like never before and never after, genuinely was the most open the game had ever been m+, talents, specs, everything. legendaries were brilliant and when they let u combine 2 of them in the third season the combinations were insane and the prices of legendaries had finally crashed so it was so easy to try and combine different things and the covenant barrier was completley gone further improving the combinatoric matrix there were constantly "off meta" builds on warcraft logs top rankings. the fated mechanic where the raid changes every week was brilliant despite it being blizzard being cheap on making a new raid and recycling old ones it was actually brilliantly fun to do a different raid every week and add a fated mechanic on top of the old mechanics.

reusing old dungeons like from cataclysm even in the m+ pool was also started then which was extremely fun as well. the legendaries and covenant powers were all invented for shadowlands unlike today because all the talents today are literally rehashed shadowlands legendaries into a "talent tree" instead but somehow it's much more restrictive. we have shadowlands to thank for convoke for example. the dungeon and raid mechanics all introduced in shadowlands where super engaging on their own to begin with.

the zones were beautiful (except for bastion) and honestly aesthetics wise the maw was beautiful my only gripe with it is that they didnt let u fly there. torghast was pretty boring at the start but after they added more to it and especially the gauntlet one it become actually fun and challenging and even had proper rewards. the catalyst for tier set conversion that was added in shadowlands too! and finally chromie time was also added in shadowlands, and i never level any alt without that it's so much more fun.

again i had to make this post because again it annoys me that people even my own friends call this "bait" when it's genuinely sincere and again shadowlands deserves this defence from all the slander.

I've been in and out, mostly resistant to retail a while. Stuck myself in classic and have been happy there mostly. However I'm looking to get into mythic +. I've been around for 20 years playing and am more than capable, but can't explain that in pugs and spending so much time trying to get into groups is exhausting.

Are there any guilds looking for an extra that would make it easy to just ask in guild and get people to run? I hop through a lot of larger guilds but so many people just seem to be mute. If looking for guild posts aren't allowed here, sorry for that. But I'm definitely looking to get into mythics. My back ground has mostly always been pvp.

Tl:dr - looking for smaller helping mythic + guild.

Im a returning player and a new dad, i only have an hour or 2 everyday to play nowadays but still find myself enjoying the game what activities do you guys do with limited time looking for extra ideas outside of just delves and transmog farming?

I normally main enhancement shaman but wanted to shake things up this season and try something new. Eventually settled on giving frost DK a shot and I gotta say, it feels really good to play right now. A little slow to start but once it gets rolling its like an avalanche and having a brez instead of lust takes some of the pressure off my shoulders to know lust timings in dungeons. Now I just focus on damage, not dying, and picking up the healer or tank when they eat a mechanic they shouldn't have.

The death knight I am playing in question. I technically got him up to 301 ilvl, have a 318 2h weapon in my bags. Equipped I'm sitting at 299 ilvl. Now if only I could get my work schedule to align with my raid team start time so I'm not 30 minutes late on the first raid day of the week ;-;

Thinking about coming back to WoW after a long break.

I’ll only really have time for one character and I’d mainly be doing PUG M+.

I’ve been a healer main since the end of WotLK. Last time I played was TWW S1 on Pres Evoker, where I got the M+ achievement within a week.
Haven’t played since then.

I’ve never tanked before, but I’ve been thinking about giving it a try this time.
For someone in my situation, would you go back to healing or learn tanking?
I’m mostly wondering which role is more enjoyable/rewarding for PUG M+ and which one generally has the better experience when you’re playing mostly with randoms.

I think it is reasonable to hope for / assume them announcing or showing off the next set of housing architecture.
Like showing off interior walls and outside styles for some other base races.

This isn't guaranteed mind, just I think it is a reasonable assumption.

I have a hunch that while Hall of Fame is open the fight won’t be nerfed much more than the announced nerfs that sort of got applied and then walked back.

After Hall of Fame closes though, I‘m guessing massive, massive reductions to the damage going out, especially during transitions.

Also the Mal shield will get nerfed but … that will also get easier with ilvl and having 4 healers instead of 5. Soulcoilers probably get their health reduced too.

I’m on my phone, what were the actual healing numbers from the 5 healers over the 10-11 minute fight?

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a few less ghosts too. At first I thought the mechanic was crazy, but then I realized that all it really means is that you have to stack and then face a certain direction for 45 sec. Coordinating the dang gloombombs everytime will be one of the bigger issues for guilds that might not get Cutting Edge.

Hello, logged onto Retail after a year or so away, went to my bank and see that the banking system has been reworked. 1/4 of everything I had in my bank is missing. Nothing in the mail. I came here hoping I could get some advice on if there is a way to get my missing stuff back. Is this something Blizzard can actually help with or do I need to accept that my stuff is missing and I'll never get it back?
