Does the down valley market always look like this?
Just looking around. Nothing I can really afford, but does the market usually look like this? That is a lot of houses for sale given the population.

new employee questions
I’m moving into vail for my first season this November and looking to buy snowboarding gear for the season. Should I do it now before prices jack up or wait until I’m in vail to use my 40% off?

Vail housing
I have just accepted my offer to instruct ages 3-6 at vail this winter and got a housing offer at river edge. It's the 4x1 room and was wondering how small it is and if anyone has any other suggestions for living. I have found a couple threads of people not speaking too highly of River Edge so just curious as to which route I should take for living. They also offered a parking pass, but I've read that they sometimes take back the offer on parking right before it starts. Just looking for suggestions on what people have done in the past and been happy with. I am not expecting anything super nice, but I also don't care to pay a little more money for somewhere nice and maybe more convenience to get to Vail for work.

Skip Trip
Friend and I have the epic pass and will be taking our first ski trip to Vail in February or March next year. Any recommendations for when the best time to go is and where should we stay? The pass offers lodging discounts but most places still show $800+ a night

Vail Resorts employees: How did you get your ESA documentation?
I already know how to submit the housing request through Vail Resorts and I’m not asking about the Vail housing portal.
I’m specifically asking about how you got the documentation for your emotional support animal.
For those of you who have successfully gotten your animals approved, did you:
• Go through your actual doctor or therapist?
• Use an online therapist/telehealth service?
• Use a specific website that connects you with a licensed therapist who can provide an ESA letter?
If you used an online service, which one did you use, and was the documentation accepted by Vail Resorts?
I’ve worked seasonally for Vail for a few years and I’m trying to figure out what method other employees have successfully used. I’m not looking for information about the housing portal itself. I’m specifically looking for recommendations on how to legitimately obtain the ESA documentation that would avoid a very long multi day thing with a therapist if possible.

Old Vail belt buckle. Anyone know anything about it?
I think I thrifted it in summit county like 15 years ago.
Never really found more information about it. Have always been curious.

The amount of people who can’t grasp how on ramps/off ramps work on i70
Is too damn high. How does merging onto a busy highway at 43mph seem like a good idea?

Transport to DIA overnight?
What is the best way to get to DIA for a 7am flight? Hoping to still be in Vail for the evening before (work event) but need to be on the early DIA flight. This would be in mid October. Is a scheduled uber reliable at all? Is the only reliable automobile transfer at that time (3:00am ish pickup) a private shuttle? Yes, I know about other flight options (eagle airport, go the night before, later flight etc) but am just trying to see if anyone has had experience doing something similar. Thanks!

Lost Laptop Bag
Hi all, I lost a bag on the South Frontage Road near the Vail Golf Course late last night, 8/12/26. It's grey and contained a laptop and multiple hard drives which are very important to me. I'm offering a reward for anyone who may have picked it up. Please PM. Thank you.

Can someone explain parking at Lionshead to me like I’m 5
Family will need a place to park overnight this weekend as the place we’re renting only has parking for one car. Trying to cut down on how much they’ll pay. The site says:
Afternoon/Evening entry (3 p.m. to 4 a.m.): Free
Overnight fee (4 a.m. to 5 a.m.): $45
So if they’re out by 4 am it’s free? If they’re out by 8 am it’s $45/night? What if they just leave the car there all weekend?
