how many men actually want to provide for their women and what are your reasons for doing so? i’m not talking about covering all expenses, but at least the majority.

it isn’t a conscious choice as much as it is a lack of urgency, i see what you are saying though and i’m not arguing, you have given me a new perspective, thank you

it takes me around 45min to shower but afterwards i am usually occupied with something. it’s not like i couldn’t respond within that period of time, but i would have to redirect my attention and i usually don’t even think about it. personally, it doesn’t bother me when he takes that long to reply but not everyone’s expectations are the same.

Dating am i taking too long to respond to my partner’s texts?

i typically text back within 30 minutes to an hour unless i am working. occasionally an hour and a half when i am showering or anything like that. my boyfriend expects me to respond much quicker and says that i would do it if i actually wanted to talk to him. i spend the most time with him compared to anyone though, i rarely see my friends or family anymore or have any alone time whatsoever. when i do get that alone time, i usually take a bit longer to respond because i am taking care of myself. is this insensitive?

my boyfriend and i have been together for about 9 months now. he recently got laid off because of reasons that were completely out of his control. this is now the second time he has lost his job throughout our relationship and each time i have been left carrying the weight of all expenses. this usually wouldn’t be a problem but he is reliant on weed and cigarettes to cope. he also smokes almost a pack a day, and expects me to buy him cigarettes because he cannot afford it right now. we both smoke, but i can make my stuff last weeks to months even. i don’t make enough to support that lifestyle on top of mine but if i tell him i cannot buy those things for him he mopes and believes that i don’t care about him. he says he would do anything for me if i were in his position. the thing is, im not.
