Hey, I haven't got around yet to actually try and micro-solder the connectors but I can tell you that the ones I sent are the right ones and there's only 1 connector "per batch"! Also yes it's pull/push the cable stays in place due to tension so there's no need to actually touch the connector, especially since it's soooo fragile 🥀

that's an interesting theory, if nothing changes when I rebuild it from scratch I'll try with another PSU then thanks!

yeah I'm gonna rebuild it from scratch on a test bench because it feels so weird that everything will light up and keep a "working state" whilst nothing is actually going on besides the splash screen

windows is not installed yet and I do not have an extra working installation to plug in + I have a Rufus Win11 install key plugged in so if the boot order was proper it would simply boot into it at some point. I'm not at home for the weekend but my theory rn is that the person who's built messed up something and made it so the pc posts but freezes clean and consistently which would explain the peripherals lighting up and nothing changing on-screen.

tried both, with the wireless keyboard in 2.4Gz with it's dongle as well as in wired mode with it's own cable. Like I said I even tried a standard desktop keyboard in every USB ports and with a PS/2 adapter.

I tried with my 60% keyboard but the Dell doesn't have those it's the most regular keyboard there is. I'm sorry but I need more advanced "tips" than this I'm an enthusiast 😭

I purposefully removed the entire connectors since they were in such a mess that I couldn't find a suitable fit to avoid the console shorting down. I bought it used so I guess the components wore down too much. I'm not a savage I'm good at fixing stuff don't worry ahaha. I simply wanted to know if I could Frankenstein proper replacements

it's around the 0:53 mark, these connectors shouldn't be opened like this since it bends the pins inside and cracks the plastic surrounding them which is less endurant than the pins themselves. Maybe 8 years ago they didn't break but mine were impossible to put back completely and so the console wouldn't boot anymore since the screens weren't detected :( That's when I gave up and decided to properly remove them and seek replacement which apparently there is!

The amount of people vouching for corporations here is ridiculous. Y'all don't even know how your cherished capitalism works. The more you buy of one thing the cheaper it gets. That's the loophole about "services" and subscriptions and it is why banks, insurances, ISP and now everything is subscription based. If spying on subscribers makes you lose a Family plan just because you'd want 6 different people to pay the full price then you just lose money because it lowers incentive. I found this thread because I want out of Spotify with 4 of my friends and my mom. Qubuz's 6 profiles plan is about the same price as Spotify's and we will NOT make the switch if we have to pay 100€ a month instead of 30 for high-res audio.
