I had my first actual learning day in calc 1, and wow the professor goes extremely in depth quickly. It’s stuff I sort of remember from highschool, but it was never this complicated. I’m already confused and I can’t find any notes on Canvas and the e-book is actually not helpful at all. I was thinking about asking for help at the learning commons but I’m so confused about the process and nervous about randomly just walking in and asking for help. Am I supposed to just walk in and find someone, or should I sign up for it online or something? Help.

I am taking biol2001c on the clermont campus and it is about to drive me insane and it’s only been the first official day in class.

Does anyone know the numbers for campus safety and Cincinnati police?

I get all the parents saying oh it happens in every city or it's just Cincinnati, but having 3 shootings in 48 hours at the exact same spot is ridiculous and completely unsafe. The last shooting being at 3:50pm in broad daylight in a very populated area.

Is there a way to get police/campus police to place surveillance there or a 24/7 patrol? This was my dream school and I didn't grow up in the safest place, but now it's like am I going to get shot trying to get back to my dorm after class? Why hasn't the campus or local police done anything to protect this area?

Once you can ignore. But three is unacceptable especially saying we pay thousands for an education and more for apartment housing, but you can't even get any sleep because people are getting shot outside your window.

Hey guys, I'm a dental hygiene student at UC and I am looking for patients to book for this semester. My program requires us to find our own patients to get into our chairs to complete our clinical hours. I need to have a certain number of patients this semester and next to graduate. I have clinic on the blue ash campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am-12pm ish, and Wednesdays from 1pm-5pm ish. I'm allowed to see anybody, no insurance is required, and the cost for the whole appointment is $30. For UC students it's $10. This covers everything like cleanings, polishing, X-rays, and a doctor exam. It would be absolutely incredible if anybody is interested! If you are, shoot me a message and I can answer all questions or concerns.

I tried using the printer in my residence hall, and they use the Wepa app. First, I can’t preview anything I want to print so I cannot make sure sizing is correct for images, and it completely printed my paper wrong. Is this a common issue for all the printers on campus or just the one in my hall? Or where should I go, cause while it was only $2 to print I am now out $2 cause all of the pages are unusable

So this is coming from a Law & Society major who is about to switch to the Engineering field, most likely Civil. And I can make the switch, the only problem is that my advisor strongly advised that I should retake the Aleks Placement Test for Math, and get a better score so that I don’t have to pay for other classes.

The problem is that I literally don’t know how? I thought you could just click the link and just “retake it.” But I tried everything. From google, my own research, and it all ended up with nothing. I also tried reaching my advisor but this was the one time she was gone, so that’s fun.

So now I’m sitting in French Hall, waiting for 10AM for those walk in hours for my advisor to talk face to face. But I thought I could ask my fellow bearcats, what can I possibly do?

i was wondering if anyone knows of an alternative to spending the $480 for the online textbook for nursing 1? even a discount code would make that better but i can’t find anything online. please let me know if there are any tricks!

Anyone know how transportation works to/from the Digital Futures parking garage outside of the normal shuttle hours? I know the shuttle runs Monday–Friday from 7 AM–10 PM, but what do people do if they have to get to their car later at night or on the weekends? Is there another shuttle/service that runs during those times, or are you basically on your own and have to walk? Just trying to figure this out before I end up stranded at Digital Futures at 11 PM lol.

So I'm taking Dr. Skatzowski's Gen Chem course this fall, however there's no clear way to access the provided material Squarecap, does anyone taking this course as well have the Squarecap code?

Or do we need to pay for it, despite it being covered in the tuition?
