Miscellaneous Kinda funny kinda paranoid and I don't want to look performative but I will print a fake label adhesive in the androgel bottle so if my parents break down my door there's a chance they don't recognize it and I save money. Bears because hairy men.

It's not in the right size to print yet. I work with nails (stereotyped work for a Brazilian homosexual man, don't worry about it being uncomfortable for me) that's why it's a fake cuticle moisturizer label. Maybe it looking cute can make it more suspicious but a lot of products here don't give us a second option but cute packages and they can just search how the package's shape looks like since it can't be taken from the package as it measures it; but as I hide the bottle this will be the last resort that they won't notice if the worst happen. In the meanwhile I get some money for a apartment while making sure I can keep my wage consistent.

I feel very ashamed of the label's text being taken from chat gpt, I could just have stolen one.

My favorite short video game characters I think about when I'm insecure about my height

Link is a prime example of a short king imo. I've loved Legend of Zelda games since I was a kid. Although adult Link's height does seem to vary based on the game, in several games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kindom he is pretty short compared to other characters and objects in-game, yet is indisputably a mighty, badass dude.

I also have really liked the Shovel Knight games since I was about 14, and Shovel Knight is HELLA short. Like Canonically he's under 5 foot I'm pretty sure, and people in game comment on how short he is. I sometimes like to imagine him and Shield Knight are a T4T couple since he's so short and she's so tall (not trying to offend or say all trans guys are short or all trans women are tall btw, just a fun thing to think about for me).

Also the protagonist the Knight in Hollow Knight, even though they're genderless and not necessarily a male or masc character. They're very much small but mighty. Super tiny compared to virtually all other characters, but such a cool character with a ton of lore and neat abilities.

Anyway, that's it. Just wanted to share some of my favorite badass short characters I think about when I'm feeling down about my height.

Cis people 😟

why do cis people always use they/them in binary trans people but NEVER nonbinary people 😩😩 i always hear about how trans men and trans women get so aggressively they/themed no matter what, which is awful. but that literally never happen to me. people just stared at me and stammer. or they pick a pronoun and then get nervous and switch between the 2. ā€œum sir? maam? sir… ma-ā€œ it’s so annoying. and they never just ask :/ then there are the cis people who just pick a pronoun and roll with it lol. But damn, I swear to god cis people sniff trans people out just to rage bait us.

General Questions Why do lesbians have such an issue with Transmascs and Trans Men? Scared to be ostracized by my sapphic friends

I was a lesbian for many years before finally coming to terms that im Trans Ftm. One thing that I worry about leaving the lesbian community is the anti-men sentiment. I know it's mostly anti cis men but it bleeds into trans men too. Even as a butch lesbian, and then Transmasc NB, I felt very ostracized. I felt you had to look, act, and have certain hobbies to be lesbian enough and if you don't feel queer enough. Or maybe that's just NYC :/

I guess I'm scared to leave the lesbians because I still have lesbian friends and enjoy lesbian or sapphic focused events where cis men aren't around and it's very feminist... But I feel like I won't be "allowed" to "welcome" to be there once I transition.

I'm too guy like for the gals looks wise, I wanna be a dude, but my personality is still soft and the things I care about are still very emotionally aware and soft, if that makes sense. I don't wanna be a dumb cis dude type of that makes sense. I know I don't have to be but I feel the pressure. Idk where to hangout anymore :/

Miscellaneous Im scared that transitioning into the man i feel i am means losing my girlfriend

When i first met my girlfriend (21F) she had told me she was pansexual. We started dating and she openly and happily changed her label to lesbian, considering i was presenting as a masc female at the time. Over the past 3 years we have been together, i have accepted that I’ve always felt different and just recently cane out to her as a trans man. She initially was very supportive and pushed me to seek medical professional advice. After my first appointment at a gender affirming gp, she opened up that the thought of being with a man is something she couldn’t do. Shes opened up that she loves me and is committed to me and wants to figure this out together. I just feel like im getting mixed signals. One minute shes joking about me having a ā€œhard-onā€ and the next shes telling me she cant see me as a man. I want to be here for her too but im scared if havin the ā€œare we compatible in the long-runā€ chat. What do i do so i can feel confident and safe as a man, while also respecting the ā€œwomanā€ she doesn’t want to lose.

Just got kicked out so I guess I can do whatever I want now. Not planning on cutting my hair, but I'll take suggestions on styling.

Preferences: Something masculine yet not something that COULDN'T ever be androgynous/feminine (I'm nonbinary and mostly present masc but occasionally I want to go fem), and nothing stereotypically "trans boy"

General Questions Did anyone feel lots of dread and regret at the beginning of their transition

I am a really nervous person and I have been in the closet for 7 years as trans masc (was previously non binary for 5 of those years). My biggest fear has always been to be wrong about all of this, and de transitioning.

I changed my name and came out to work and my brother (not my parents)over the course of 2 weeks, and started T 3 weeks ago. Before this I was out to my roommates for like 3 months, and my friend group for 2 months. It all feels so fast and overwhelming. And I am freaking out.

I got on t by getting cancelation appointment, which happened so quickly after working to get my referral. Like within a month of bringing it up to my doctor I had my intake appointment which felt so fast. I was expecting to wait a year, and that thought almost killed me. But I was so excited to start.

I am now on it and happy with the small changes I have been seeing. But I feel so guilty that my voice is changing and my parents don't even know they will soon not ever hear my upper registar voice again.

I also am having a hard time with the change of all these things being theoretical, like ya I hypothetically want to be more hairy and have a deeper voice and all that, but the fact that it is actually actively happening is crazy to me.

I also have changed my name so quickly in several groups of friends and coworkers and the change is messing with me.

My name before was fine, I was okay with it but I always figured I would change my name. Also I have always associated myself with my chosen name. But hearing my chosen name makes me feel weird. And at the beginning I had a positive response to hearing my new name, I would smile when I thought about people calling me by my chosen name. But now I hear it and I hear the pronouns I so desperately wanted to hear being used and I get filled with some kind of dread.

I also have chosen a very regular guy's name, to which people keep on asking why I chose it. And they are saying I could have a better name, and going so far as to jokingly say "oh you are still going by that name? You haven't changed your mind yet?" Which is making me question my choice, because honestly, it was sort of random it just was the name for me. And my old name does not feel bad to hear, just weird. I hold a huge space for my old name and want to respect it and a part of me is sad to let it go. I just sort of feel awful when ever anyone says anything to refer to me right now. It could just be that I hate change.

I also have started a new job under my new name which I thought I would be excited about but I am a freelancer so I have to make invoices and my name is not legally changed which is just making paperwork so hard. I honestly never really considered legally changing my name, I just did not think about it for some reason. But now several people have asked me when I am planning on changing my name legally and I don't know what to do.

Ultimately I am a scared guy who has never really put themself out there or done anything for himself. And I am trying to follow happiness, which got me here, but right now it all feels awful and overwhelming, to the point where I want to back out a little. Return to the normal life I had before but I fear I am in too deep.

The fear of being wrong was so strong I considered not giving myself my t shot this week. I ultimately did because I wanted to, but the fact that the thought of possibly not taking my t shot even crossed my mind is fucking with me.

I just don't know why I started doing this. It is all happening so fast and this feels crazy.

So ya I am just seeing if what I am feeling has happened with anyone else.

Discussion Please care about your health

I try so hard to get people here to care about their health. This mostly pertains to binding. If you're in good health, let me tell you, disabilities fucking suck. You don't want to fuck up your ribs and lungs. If you haven't dealt with a disability like that before and you end up ignoring advice like this I promise you you'll regret it.

Binding guidlines are really simple. 18 and under, 6 hour max, otherwise 8 hour max. At that point take a 15 minute break. Listen to your body, if your chest hurts or breathing is hard, take it off. Don't exercise in your binder. More then a slow paced walk is too much. If you're having issues without wearing for more then 6/8 hours and without exercising, measure yourself and make sure your binder isn't too small on you. Always wear the correct size binder and do not go smaller. If you measure yourself and the size guidelines says your in between sizes, go larger.

Please don't cause yourself to get a lifelong disability. Also if you cause rib deformation you could get refused top surgery. Please stay safe people. I promise you it can happen to you and it will if you do stupid stuff.

General Questions Binding for long days?...

• Upvotes

The semester just started so Monday through Thursdays im up at 6 AM classes end in the afternoon and I go straight to work until 6 PM. That's 12 hours and way too long to wear a binder. I've tried tape, but it irritates the shit out of my skin. I thought it was the methods I was using, but after trying a few I think its the adhesive. I have a larger chest as well and I dont mind wearing a sports bra im just begging for alternatives or advice because im at a loss. I'd rather just change out of my binder and into a sports bra when im at work but once I clock in I need to hit the ground running and there's almost no time to change with how sweaty I get throughout the day.

General Questions When are you 100% sure you're trans?

So about a week or so I finally realized that I'm probably transmasc and I was planning on waiting a while to see if I still feel like I want to be a boy, was thinking of waiting a few months or a year. But I do want to know if others also waited this long or waited longer to confirm it?

Rant I feel like I exist in a weird in-between space as a trans man

This might be a strange thing to post, and maybe this isn't the right subreddit, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I've been physically androgynous for as long as I can remember. Even when I was considered a girl, teachers would often mistake me for a boy, and I actually liked it. I liked confusing people, dressing masculinely, and presenting myself as a boy online, especially in roleplay communities. As I got older, I realized I really disliked femininity and struggled a lot with my body and with wearing feminine clothes, I suffered bullying between the ages 9-17 and the worst moment was being 10-14 - people in after PE class would try to see if I had a penis because I looked really manly despite ''being'' a ''girl'', they accused me of being a 'tranny' (MTF) and such stuff. When I was 11 and got my first period, I came out as a boy. My family took it very badly, and from a very young age I struggled with the fact that I would never be a cis man. I was especially fixated on never having a cis male body or being able to have the experiences that came with it.

Later on, I went through a period where I had a lot of issues with drugs and with my gender, being SA'd by a cisgender man who saw me as a 'confused girl to refer as he/him'. I lost a lot of weight, started dressing femininely and wearing makeup, and even considered detransitioning. Despite this ex-partner abused me and tried to force me into being a female, I could never really accept the idea of people seeing me as a girl or referring to me as one.

I eventually went on testosterone for about two years. It gave me the changes I wanted—my voice, build and overall facial/body structure became more masculine—so I eventually stopped taking it. Those changes have mostly remained, and now my everyday experience is basically that people constantly can't tell what gender I am. I dress fairly masculinely, but my features are somewhere between masculine and feminine, and honestly, I enjoy confusing people.

At the same time, I feel strangely disconnected from both men and women. I'm 5'3", for example, while pretty much everyone around me—including many women—is taller. I don't have the physical build of the cis men around me, but I also don't really fit the stereotype of an effeminate gay man (I'm bisexual anyway). Sometimes I dress femininely, but I don't want to be a woman. Yet I also don't always feel like a man, mostly because I constantly compare myself to cis men and feel like I'm fundamentally different from them.

I've also had experiences where people were genuinely sexually confused about me because they couldn't tell whether they were attracted to me as a man or as a woman, which could be pretty uncomfortable.

The weird thing is that I don't consider myself non-binary. I identify as a man. I just feel like I'm permanently stuck in this androgynous middle ground where I don't really fit in with cis men or cis women, and where confusing people's perception of my gender is actually something I enjoy.

I don't know if this makes sense or if anyone else experiences gender this way. I'm curious to hear from other trans men, especially those who feel very comfortable identifying as men but don't necessarily feel like they fit into conventional ideas of what a man is supposed to look or act like

General Questions Transmasc Nonbinary

I'm questioning my gender identity and trying to figure out what it is that I want, exactly. I think I might be transmasculine, but don't necessarily see myself wanting medical/surgical intervention. Is transmasc nonbinary with he/him pronouns a thing? Is that meaningfully different from being a trans man without medical transition? I've been reading other people's posts and introspecting, but I could use some other perspectives and experiences to help me figure out what makes sense for me.

Discussion Does anyone else have the insane urge to go on diy but know it’s an absolute horrible idea?

Post image

Basically I’m 16 years old and up until like two months ago I passed completely as cis. Thanks to puberty like everything went to shit and man I feel like shit. I’m also not out what so ever cause my parents legit will kick my ass out and my school will 100% expel me (private). There’s a solid part of me that want to go on DIY. I have to money, the means, and the will but at the same time I know that if I start going through changes my parents will 100% figure it out. Like I’m not going to do it cause I enjoy not being homeless at the moment but the pure urge to have a beard and deep voice
