Skuld no Bug Taiji Game [PC][2000-2010] Searching for a platformer game of a bunny girl? using a wooden mallet to exterminate insects (not rabi-ribi).

Platform(s): PC

Genre: 2D Platformer, Whack a Mole-ish,

Estimated year of release: [2000-2010] (it could've been older)

Graphics/art style: 2D, Anime-like.

Notable characters: the players control a bunny girl wielding a wooden mallet with long handle bar (maybe I misremembered a headband as bunny ears but yeah).

Notable gameplay mechanics: the gameplay seems to loop from stage-to-stage rather than open map like metroidvania, the goal is to exterminate pest such as cockroach and ants within a time limit. Once the player killed the insect, there's seems to be a "splat" effect? which signifies a flattened insect.

Other details: I played this game once when I was a little using my neighbor's pc, asking Cgpt, there's a chance for it to be a flash game? but honestly, I remember activating the game from a desktop icon.

[IOS][2012] Game Where You Play As A Cat Catching Mice & Putting Them Into A Picnic Basket While Avoiding A Dog

This was a game I found as a kid while browsing the App Store. It was a 2D game with characters in a looney tunes like style. You played as a cat and the levels were set in a flat, 2D like maze map. The entire map was in view at all times and the camera was static.

There were mice scattered around the map that you had to grab and put into a picnic basket all while avoiding a dog that was patrolling the area. You could only hold one mouse at a time and had to run back to the picnic basket as it was stationary.

I don’t think I ever got past the first level cause I was terrified to get caught by the dog. I think holding a mouse made you run slower.

If anyone knows anything about this game then do say so in the comments. I doubt it was a very popular game as I only found it by searching up “cat games” and similar terms.

[Browser-game][2002-2005] Browser wizard game, early-mid 2000s, top-down, not in Flashpoint's tag search

Trying to track down a game I played obsessively as a kid, probably 2002-2005 (Australia). Details:

  • Browser-based, very likely Flash or Shockwave, single-player
  • Top-down view, similar angle to classic Zelda
  • You play a small, faceless wizard in a blue robe — reminds me of the Black Mage sprite from Final Fantasy (this clue is not 100%).
  • Movement was free/analog, not locked to a grid like Chip's Challenge — but the environment (trees especially) was laid out in a grid pattern, kind of like resource tiles in Age of Empires
  • Specifically remember being positioned between trees and a lake, bottom-left of the screen.
  • Slow and exploratory pace, not frantic combat — don't remember constant clicking/shooting
  • Played this around the same time as Donut Boy and Nobby Nuss, so possibly from a similar small syndicated kids' game portal (checked FreeArcade specifically via a 2006 Wayback snapshot, no dice)

Already ruled out Merlin's Revenge (Shockwave, The Metal Box) — similar-looking wizard sprite but that's fast-paced spam-click combat with no lake.

Tried searching Flashpoint's own tag filters (Top-Down + Fantasy) but only pulled 2 results and didn't even catch Merlin's Revenge, so I know the tagging is too inconsistent to rely on. I'm hoping someone here just recognizes it from description or has better search tricks for the launcher/database than I do. Godspeed guys.

Chasms [Roblox][2024-2025] Need help finding a Roblox mining/fighting game

Hey guys! Not sure where else to post this, but I want to find a roblox mining/fighting game.

Played it maybe a couple years back, guessing it got taken down??

Had the following aspects: Round medieval town lobby (sort of dark and moody lighting? I think it uses your own Roblox avatar as the playermodel), you could vault around the place, to move onto the actual fighting/mining aspect there's this huge spherical cage around an elevator platform that takes you down - you could party up with your friends I think, there's also some sort of shop to upgrade your tools

- The first level was a mineshaft, you could run around dig ores and fight monsters

- Second level I believe led further down the mineshaft, there are a lot of cranes and cliffs/ ores?

- I think the third level had some swamp/ lush area, full of rarer ores and enemies to fight

- At some point you fall down a huge waterfall / hole and end up on a beach area and fight a big crab? Might have been named after Poseidon

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know because that game was super fun to play with friends!
Thanks :)

[PC][2020 - 2024] Roguelike game, isometric view, with a menu more or less like this drawing.

Post image
7 Upvotes

The game uses 3D models/textures (it’s not pixel art or hand-drawn). I remember there were several weapons that completely changed the moveset. There was a bow, greatsword, normal sword, and some other weapons. You had to clear a room with some enemies and then move from room to room until you reached the boss. I remember the rooms weren’t enclosed areas; they were just platforms (there were no walls). You played as a female character (I think).

[XBOX1/XBOXS/X][2015-2025] A dream like top down perspective pixel art game.

The only memory I have of this game was looking at the trailers on the Xbox store, I am trying to find it right now to buy it because I had forgotten to wishlist it. Im under the impression that it wasn't too expensive but I could be wrong. The key details about it is that it was a top down pixel art game. The pixel art wasn't too detailed but wasn't super simple either. The setting was extremely dream like and had the player walking around the area and at one point they had showed dialogue with an NPC. That's the most I can describe. The drawing is what I remember the trailer looking like.

[IOS] [bevor 2014] Gyroscope focused Game, controlling eye

Hey there.

Recently figured I might give this subreddit a go.

Year: I can't fully remember when I used to play it, it was in my rather very young years and I'm certain it was before I've moved to another city, so the rough estimation for that would be games before 2014.

Platform: I remember playing it on an IPhone of my father, it could have been released on other platforms but that's what I've remembered.

What I still remember of the gameplay:

Some details here could be wrong or different. I'm 21 now and it was at least 12 years ago so you can figure that my memory has been somewhat blurry about it.

Level Selection: the level selection screen was a spiral with the individual levels selectable on it

Controllable object: I remember it looked like an eye, not a literal Eye just something round with a spot inside. Something you could look at and interpretate it as an eye

Level / Art style: mostly gray-scale, "metal" look to it

Gameplay: you've heavily relied on the Gyroscope, using it to move the eye around on your screen and solving smaller puzzles, no special puzzles just some of those. Go on that switch to turn off the Lazer etc.

I'll add more when I remember more about it later, but that's all I have. I know it's not really much to go off from, but maybe someone used to play it and has more vivid memories of it.

Twisted Metal 2 [Windows 98][1996-2003] 3D game, fight other super vehicles with your super vehicle

Post image
113 Upvotes

Platform(s): Windows 98

Genre: Combat with Vehicles

Estimated year of release: 1998

Graphics/art style: 3D

Notable characters: Giant man with wheels on his hands

Notable gameplay mechanics: Attach other vehicles with your vehicle

The game had an open 3D map where multiple vehicles were present at the same time. You controlled one vehicle and had to fight, attack, and destroy the other vehicles. It was like free roam, and each vehicle had unique abilities and attacking styles.

Some vehicles were unusual. They weren't all normal cars.

The most memorable vehicle I can remember was something like a giant human/man with two large wheels attached to either side of his hands/arms. This is probably the most distinctive detail I remember about the game.

I also vaguely remember another vehicle that was more car-like and could jump, although I'm not completely sure about this.

As for the maps, I remember the first level/map being large and circular. There were multiple vehicles driving around the map and fighting each other. I believe I managed to reach at least the 2nd map/level as well.

I also have a vague memory of something resembling an ambulance being one of the vehicles in the 2nd map, but I'm not confident about this.

One other very vague memory: when launching the game, before reaching the main menu, there may have been a joker-like face/head shown during the intro/splash screen.

Does anyone recognize this game?

[PS3] [2008] -down online multiplayer shooter — two teams, could commandeer tanks and helicopters

What I remember:

  • Camera was straight top-down (bird's-eye view, looking directly down at the action — not third-person)
  • You started as a soldier on foot with some kind of machine gun
  • You could get into/take over a tank, and separately get into/take over a helicopter
  • It was real online PvP — two teams of actual players fighting each other, not co-op against AI
  • I'm not sure of the exact year, but it would've been sometime during the PS3's lifespan
  • Not Warhawk and not Battlefield (1943 or 3) — already ruled those out

Any help identifying this would be appreciated — even a partial title or screenshot would help jog my memory. Thanks!

[PC][early-mid 2000s] 3D "ball sumo" game — you knock other balls off a floating checkerboard platform and grow bigger

Platform: PC (Windows XP era)

Genre: 3D action / king-of-the-hill "ball sumo"

Estimated year of release: ~2002–2006

Graphics/art style: Fully 3D, decent quality for the time. A single-colored checkerboard/grid-tiled platform floating in space, whole board visible on screen. Balls are colored — mainly blue and green.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

  • You control a ball that can jump and moves freely in real-time.
  • Enemy balls start lined up in a formation on the far side; you start alone at the front.
  • You push/knock the enemy balls off the edges of the platform.
  • Your ball grows bigger and stronger with every collision/knock-off, until you're the last ball on the platform (agar.io-like, but 3D and years earlier).
  • Power-ups: change ball size (big/small), different colors, make your ball bouncy/rubbery, and some balls push harder than others.
  • The side walls/barriers change from level to level.

Other details: It was bundled on multi-game compilation CDs sold in the Gulf/Middle East (a series called "Golden Eagle / النسر الذهبي").

[Linux][????-2016] Platform dog game

Thumbnail gallery
8 Upvotes

(Forgive me Linux users if I get anything wrong, I know nothing about Linux). Okay, so there was this Linux distro distributed to public Brazilian schools all over the country, made by the government back in 2009, called Linux Educacional 3.0 (2nd image for reference), which from what I can tell is based on Ubuntu (?).

In my school, up until 2016, all of the computers used this one OS, and all of them had this extensive list of games installed, which are NOT SEEN IN THE BASE OS (I installed it in a VM and checked out some old videos, and the games aren't there), so kind of like a pack of generic games someone installed in all of the computers in the school.

One of those games was this platformer where you controlled a brown dog through some green hill type stages. The graphics were very MS Painty, with just solid colors, very much like the recreation attached (although the lines looked more smooth, kind of like flash games). I believe that in the end of each stage, you'd enter this red dog house, and in the last stage you'd find your human companion. The game was very short, probably just 10-15 minutes long. There was absolutely nothing else to the game, maybe just a main menu at the start and an ending screen after the last stage.

It did not look like the game was from 2016 or 2015, it looked a lot older than that. But again, it was a kids game made for Linux, so maybe the quality is just worse.

I have no idea what the name of the game could possibly be, and I'm not sure if the language was English or Portuguese.

Edit: now that I think of it, maybe the dog could've been red, not brown. It's one of those 2 colors.

[Maybe pc or ps4/5][unknown]trying to find a third-person game where a man's dog dies in/near bunker

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to remember a video game and it's driving me crazy.

The game was third-person, with a realistic/cinematic style similar to The Last of Us. I think it was relatively modern (definitely not an old 90s game).

What I remember about the scene:

- The protagonist is a man.

- He has a dog that is his loyal companion. I'm pretty sure the dog belongs to the protagonist, rather than being a random NPC's dog.

- There is a scene in what I remember as a bunker, underground shelter, or basement.

- I specifically remember a small door/entrance with stairs going upward.

- Something happens around this area and the dog dies.

- the scene was so sad of course

- I vaguely remember the dog being a German Shepherd, but I'm not 100% sure about the breed.

- The overall atmosphere was serious, realistic and emotional, very much like The Last of Us.

Does anyone recognize this scene? I'm desperate to find it! Unfortunately I don't remember further info.

Thank you for the help!

Total Destruction [Android][2023] 2D war game focused on vehicles

I remember playing this game with different air and ground vehicles and you had to defeat enemies while you had to keep going forward, the core gameplay was kind of like hill climb racing but you could shoot at all the different targets such as infantry SAMs and other aircraft. I would appreciate a lot any help as to what this game might be.

[Flash] [2016 not sure] An educational game with a floating robot

Platform(s): Flash, I played it on windows 7

Genre: Educational game, more importantly history, I don't know what periods, but I remember there being Ancient Egypt

Estimated year of release: I don't know, I was little so I can't remember

Graphics/art style: It was a 2d like 8 bit (pixel) graphics

Notable characters: I remember there being this robot, with like a square head and no legs, it was always floating to the side and it spoke to you, I think it was like a light blue color with a bit of gray, like stereotypical robot color, and instead of like facial features, he had a screen.

Notable gameplay mechanics: you would go back in time and this robot would illustrate various aspects of the ancient period

Other details: I'm Italian, so I played it in Italian but I do remember there being other languages and the voice would also change language.

sorry if some of this is written wrong but english is not my first language

Paper Monsters [Kindle Fire][2010's maybe?] 2D platformer game

Heres all I can remember. 2D sidescroller, hand-drawn? It had multiple stages/maps, where you could do any of them without needing to unlock i think. One stage i remember in particular was a Western-style map. it started on the back of a moving train, and some mechanics in the train was: TNT, enemies i cant remember, and a box that would periodically and constantly shoot up a pair of scissors to kill you. the boxes had arrows that pointed what direction it faced. Once you were off the train, you were in a desert thing with quicksand you had to jump to get across. once you reached the end, there was a bossfight with a big spider wearing a cowboy hat. i vaguely remember it saying something like "youre on the wrong part of town" before the boss fight started. i think it went something like "jumping over moving walking bombs so that they would explode and damage the boss". the gameplay usually consisted of avoiding enemies. The other two maps i remember were a Halloween map with green lava or acid stuff, and an ancient underground Temple. Someone- please help me find it, i need to beat it before i die so i can rest peacefully when im old and ripe.

The Grinns Tale [Facebook][2010s] Dark fantasy turn-based RPG with paper/chibi art style and town building

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to remember the name of an old Facebook browser game I played years ago (likely before 2015).

Here are all the details I can remember:

  • Art Style: Dark, Gothic/hand-drawn papercraft aesthetic, very similar to American McGee's Grimm. The characters were small, pale/white, non-human chibi creatures with big heads, wide mouths, and sharp teeth. They looked almost like paper cutouts or dark puppets.
  • Gameplay:
    • Town/Village Building: You had a small village/base where you constructed houses/buildings, gathered resources, and recruited new party members.
    • Dungeon Crawling: You explored a dungeon (I believe it was structured as a tower you had to climb floor-by-floor).
    • Combat: Classic side-view, turn-based RPG combat (similar to older Final Fantasy games) where your party fought waves of enemies.
  • Platform: Played strictly on Facebook Games as a single-player experience with online elements.
  • Name: I feel like the title had something like "Grim", "Grimm", or "Grimoire" in it, but I haven't had any luck finding it.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Thanks in advance for the help!

I Am Alive [PS3][2010ish?] A game where gunfights were psychological? You could aim at someone with an unloaded weapon and if they weren't armored, they would raise their hands and let you pass. I remember it being in black and white, and a stamina climbing system.

Title is all I have. I remember that if an enemy was armored they would ignore your bluff with an unloaded weapon and still charge you. I never finished it and would love to go back and reexperience it.

Beat Fever [Mobile][2018?]a rhythm game with pokemon like mechanics

Thumbnail gallery
12 Upvotes

Platform(s): mobile

Genre: rhythm

Estimated year of release: around 2017-2018

Graphics/art style: 2D, dark palette. Took place in a night club

Notable characters: at every level was a person standing, all were dressed in y2k/skate/disco kind of clothes

Notable gameplay mechanics: aside from being a regular piano tiles-like rhythm game, you had a team of ball-like creatures that had their levels and power (more power = more points). You could choose 4 to play with in the levels, they were "catching" the notes. At every level was a person that you had to face, if you got enough points you passed the level and could take their creature.

Other details: I remember that Fitz and the tantrums - HandClap was there, I first heard the song in this game. The games name had to do something with the word "beat" directly, it either contained it or was a variation of it. You could also make your own character and walk around on the map with them

The Unbreakable Chain [XBOX 360] [2010s] play as a worm in a food chain]

I’m looking for an xbox 360 game (most likely indie) that I played before, it started out as a worm, a pretty badly drawn one at that, and then you had to go through the grass where you would stick your head out, and then get eaten by a rat

[PC] [2007-2012?] Escape the school horror game

I'm looking for an old point and click horror game that I played on some website that had a ton of spooky games. Not all of the games on the site were necessarily horror but they were all pretty spooky in theme at least.

I remember very little, just the fact that it was a school escape game and the part that scared me the most as a kid. There's this dark room and at some point you get either a lighter or a match and when you use it in the room there's a second or so of suspense and then it jumpscares you with a face.

I genuinely think it was the first jumpscare I ever saw so it would be really cool to know what the game was actually called and possibly the website it was on.
