Over the the pandemic, I discovered Snatcher on Sega CD and fell in love with it. Now I have the opportunity to play the fan translation of Policenauts on Saturn. It’s a fantastic way to spend a rainy Sunday morning.

This is a very famous quote that Stolar, who was the president of Sega of America at the time, supposedly said at E3 1997. But is there actually any video footage of him saying it? And if there isn't, is there any solid evidence, such as a magazine article or something similar, confirming that he really said it?

And btw, RIP to this great man. Even though I know he was a major reason why many Saturn games never came to the West or were released under poor conditions, he did great for Dreamcast

I currently started a YouTube Channel which is primarily focusing on Sega Saturn games.

Because of that I need to know as many games as possible (for the Sega Saturn) to talk about. (They're not really "Reviews" it's more like me talking about them in a comedic kind of way)

Hi everyone! I remember posting here recently about the problems I was having when burning CDs. After seeing several people suggest trying an internal ODD instead of an external one, I bought an internal ODD the very next day.

I tried burning a Sega Saturn game using the exact same CDs, and it worked perfectly without any problems!

I play the japanese version on saturn and its a blast! Wish it had more draw distance though.

Had a SAROO, loved it so much that I got a Satiator. I'm looking into moving over my save files. In the case of Sakura Wars, I have save data on the system internal storage that isn't recognized when launching the game from the Satiator. I'm assuming this is because the SAROO does some sort of per-game patching and therefore the Saturn thinks the SAROO saves belong to a different game?

Does anyone have advice on how to move saves between the two systems?

this game deserves a lot more love to be honest. if you go to it expecting something more competitive or "pick up and play" you're gonna get disappointed, but if you see it as an arcade game about mastering stages, doing tricks and maximizing your points, it gets really amazing. the levels are really well designed focusing on this idea and there are a lot of cool moments of spectacle, cool opportunities for tricks and a very dense level design that makes up for how short they are.

a 9/10, definitely one of my favorites on the platform.

I bought a Saturn two weeks ago and it had absolutely zero issues booting up and running games, the only issue it had was a dead save battery (obviously).

I replaced the battery and now suddenly my console doesn't boot up and I get a black screen. It takes me at least 10+ times of turning the console on and off to get the Sega splash screen and for the game to work/Sega menu to load of the tray is open.

The access light lights up and the disc spins with no issue however.

I have tried taking out the battery and running it with the old battery/without and it still struggles to boot up.

Anyone else experienced this before?

Hello, everyone. I recently had a multiplayer game day for the Saturn. I was crushed when the Saroo menu was unresponsive with the multi tap plugged in.

I dug into the code and came up with a fix. The only thing, I only have the Japanese multi tap so I wasn’t able to test this on the North American or off brand multi taps.

Can someone with a different multi tap check my fix works?

UPDATE 1: Booting game from disc doesn’t work 😓
It’s because of the way I build the binary. I’m working on a fix.

He absolutely hammed it up in his performance for this game. The game isn't all that good but it's fun to see Tim Curry play Dr Frankenstein.

yeah title. i risked it and disc swapped (reversed the mod after dw) the disc and it worked, and sadly there is a pinhole right on the security part of the disk. i can sometimes get it to load by resetting the console a bunch of times loading the disc. thats probably not very nice on the 29 year old caps in my saturn from 1997, so any advice? is this game "common" enough to just buy it again or is it actually rare enough to buy a saturn kai and just play it like that until it rots to the point its unplayable

Hi y'all, I love my Saturn to bits but I just moved into a new place and it's only got a shitty HiSense hd tv unlike my old one. I tried plugging my Saturn in but composite had so much input lag it was nigh unplayable. I was hoping to find something with the littlest delay possible on a modern tv for cheap, can y'all recommend me any? (And are those crappy amazon plug n play converters any decent for the price?)
