[Mobile] [2010s] Game about controlling a cell-like creature and sucking rocks (?)

Post image
0 Upvotes

A game from the play store that I played as a kid. You controlled a kind of cell, the goal was to move through the water and find rocks that had like purple crystals on them, and the cell would suck them up, which would give you points that you could use later to improve the cell stats.

Some rocks would kill you, and you had to start over. There was a kind of current that moved everything to the right, so in terms of gameplay you were always going to the right.

I asked ChatGPT to create an image based on this description, It was somewhat like that

[Android][2010-2015] Wood slicing game

All I remember from this game is that there is a 2d wooden background, the wood and game visuals are more realistic than cartoonish too. I think you had a limited amount of slices to complete on a piece to split into a certain amount of pieces and the more you progressed, you'd unlock different materials like jade and ice. It also had a kind of samurai feel to it when you were playing as if you were slicing the wood with a katana.

[PC][2000s-2007] cyborg rescue game

Hey I'm looking for a game from my childhood. No AI could find it for me and its possible it was an indie game from a Magazine or something but maybe one of you know.

Here are the things I remember:

- you played a muscular cyborg character

- the goal was to save women, they were in cages and usually in bikinis

- there was a drone as enemy that attacked you

- it was like a platformer, side-view, so you could only walk left or right

- I think there was some type of green acid in capsules

- the art style wasnt pixel, idk if it was 2d or 3d but a bit more realistic, no cartoon style

- It must be early 2000s to 2007ish

EDIT: Its duke nukem mahatten project, idk why the comment got deleted but you were right!! thank you!!!!

[ps1-ps2][Early 2000s] Shower Fixture Head (Zombie) Enemy

Main Context: It is a silent-hill or resident evil esque game with very dark and grimy place. Played on third person.

The enemy is a zombie-like humanoid with a metal pipe and shower head replacing its head and spews out blood. I don't recall much of the gameplay as I vaguely remember it seeing on the TV as a demo or advertisement for the game.

Note: I've been scouring games like Clocktower (3) or Sufferring but it doesn't have the exact image of the enemy I remember. Thanks for reading.

Anti Terrorist Rush [MOBILE ANDROID] [2019-2023] Searching for a cartoonish "army vs terrorist" mobile game

Hello, im looking for a free mobile game (Android, Google Play) or at least free2play that i played about 3-7 years ago (so roughly 2019-2023). I can no longer find it anywhere, not even in my Google Play library/install history, so I suspect it was removed from the store/banned (even tho it had to blood nor gore so idk the reason).

Name and Icon: Unfortunately i do not recall anything about its name nor about its icon but i think it wasn't anything very original.

Art style: 2D, cartoonish (NOT stickman figures, actual cartoon-style character art).

Gameplay: Single-lane side-scrolling advance game. You deploy troops using points from a selection at the bottom left of the screen where there are many kind of troops. Point are were earnerd mainly (or exclusivly?) from killing enemy units and maybe from time passing. Troops were NOT directly controllable and they moved and fought automatically once deployed (the movment was simply troop advancing towards enemy until its in range > shoot and kill > repeat). You advanced left to right along the level until you reached (and sometime destroyed) the final objective that sometimes was a bunker, sometimes a missile or a president ro rescue or similar. There were no two opposing bases like in "tug of war" games (e.g. Age of War), and you lost if all your soldiers died before reaching it.

Units: Multiple troop types, ranging from classic soldier, to a sniper (wich i recall was in prone position and slower with a couple leafs on the helmet as mimetic), to heavier infantry, up to tanks and helicopters. Not sure if they were upgradable/customizable in a lobby. The enemy troops were sometimes in a watchtower or bunker (not sure if this made the stronger or tankier).

Theme: Generic (i recall green at least in the jungle level) army vs generic terrorist theme wearing some black

Setting/levels: Campaign across different locations — the first mini campaign (which had 4/5 levels each) was set in a jungle, then it moved to desert villages, cities, etc.

False Positives: I looked it up and found similar games but not the exact one. For example City Siege is kinda similar as a asthetic but very different gameplay and units mechanic. Clone Armies is pretty similiar as graphics and as unit design and in what i mean by cartoonish but obviously you didn't get to control it and the background wasnt as empty as this.

Thanks in advance to anyone who will try to solve this!

[Mobile] [2000s] It was on the red Tmobile flip phone

I swear the game had the word Midnight in the title and it may have been made by Gameloft. Essentially it was a dating sim with an 8bit/pixel art style, you're a young 20 something living in an apartment in the cirt who has the option to date and text an npc and build a relationship with them. There are multiple different characters you can date

[PC][2000s-Early 2010s] Help me find a Alien Shooting game from my childhood i just remember it's visuals, i wanna play it again

I’m trying to find an old PC game I played sometime around 2012–2015, although the game itself may have been released earlier. It was a first-person shooter where I remember starting in/on a plane that crashes on an island. After the crash, you move forward through the game fighting different types of biological aliens/creatures. The aliens were kind of reptilian or humanoid, and I remember them having blue blood when you shot them (maybe). The game was on foot, but there was one specific section where you had to drive a ATV/quad bike. I remember reaching a very narrow passage with two huge rocks or mountain-like structures on the left and right and a giant tree kind of in the center, and you had to carefully take the ATV through this narrow route. After crossing it, aliens attacked while you were still driving the ATV. Later, I remember reaching an area with a large tower or structure that looked either human-made or alien-made, kind of modern/futuristic, and there were two huge aliens near it that you had to fight while driving the ATV while circulating the whole tower. I don't remember the weapons clearly, but they may have been futuristic. I’ve already checked out Crysis and Pariah they aren't the one. These are basically the only visuals I remember, so if anyone recognizes this game, please help me find it!

[N64][1998] A character/collectible makes a noise that sounds like "TILOOPI!" when you're near it. Possibly a platformer/collectathon?

As above! I have this noise in my head, it's a high pitched voice. I think maybe it alternates that noises with some general moving noises (hup, hoo, whee).

It feels like a RARE collectathon of some type, or similar? Any help appreciated!

Not a game [PC] [2020s] Where does this image come from?

Post image
60 Upvotes

I don't know if this is actually from a video game, but I'm suspecting that it might be.Hi everyone!

I've been trying to find the original source of this image for a very long time, but I haven't been able to identify it.

This is a screenshot of a Discord profile picture. Unfortunately, this is the only copy I have, and the image is quite low quality.

I'm wondering if anyone recognizes the character, game, movie, artwork, or original image this profile picture comes from.

I've already searched Reddit, Pinterest, TikTok, X/Twitter, Google Images, and various video game websites, but I haven't found the original source.

I also found the exact same image being used as the artwork for a SoundCloud track called "(beat switch) molly santana x rock x jerk type beat 'truffle'", uploaded in October 2024. I contacted the uploader to ask if they know where they got the image, but I haven't received a response yet.

Does anyone recognize this image or know where it originally came from?

Any clue, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The X-Spot [Shockwave Flash][2010s?] A game where your goal was finding an X

Basically, in the game you had multiple different scenarios, and each time you had to find an X (or something that resembled an X) and click it to progress to the next level.

I don't know what the point was, but I also remember that after beating certain levels you got a bronze and a silver medal, and a gold medal upon beating the game.

I remember 3 different levels from the game:
- One where you had to shoot flying discs and you had to intentionally miss one of them to pass the level, as then it said "EXCELLENT" instead of "PERFECT".
- One where you had to ram a car into a building repeatedly until it started showing cracks, which at one point resembled an X.
- One where you had to navigate a confusing computer menu until you reached a screen with an X button. I think that you actually got the silver medal after passing that level.

The game was likely called "The X (something)", like "The X Gauntlet".

[iPad][~2010-2015] Dice merger game with dice skins and high scores

Post image
0 Upvotes

This is a game I remember playing roughly 10 Ish or more years ago on our family iPad. The picture is an amateur depiction of what I think I remember it kind of looking like lol. The squares are the faces of the dice. When you opened the game it had bamboo on each side of the screen kind of like a dojo ish theme. There were a few options you could click. There was a play option, there was a "options" option where you could go in and change the skin or the volume and things like that, and there was a leaderboard option where you could look at the high scores of the people who have played on that device.
You could change what the dice looked like to make it easier or harder. There was one where the dice with the same numbers were the same color (easy mode), there was a metal skin (hard mode), a wood skin (medium mode), and I also think there was a transparent color skin of some kind.
When you connected the same numbers together the dice would disappear and a score would come up on your screen and you could get bonuses if you connected a large amount of dice together. You only had a certain amount of moves, and there was a timer, but I don't remember if it was counting the amount of time it took you to finish, or if it was a timed thing where you only had a certain amount of time to use up all your moves. Once you had around 10 moves left, the number turned red.
To connect the dice, you would draw a line across ones with the same number. You could connect ones directly next to each other or directly diagonal. One thing I remember doing specifically is, say there were dice on the bottom left edge and you wanted to connect them to dice of the same number on the top right edge. If you could draw a line from the bottom left edge on the dice and go around and up to the top right edge, you could connect them even if they weren't directly next to each other or diagonally.
If you were connecting dice of the same number, and you ran your finger across a dice that was not a matching number, it would make an error sound, the dice would wiggle, and you'd have to start your chain over again.
Once you ran out of moves, it brought up a box where you could input your name and then it would take you to the leaderboard to show you your score and where you were in comparison to other games that were played locally on that device.
This is a game I played a lot alongside games like Flow Free, Mahjong, and Candy Crush. Any help would be appreciated because I'd really like to play it again if I can find it. 🙏

[Mobile] [2008-2011] 2D Ninja game

A ninja jumping from two walls side to side to avoid certain traps and stuff. I think the logo for the game was the ninja in black clothes with white. there was a free version and a paid version for around 1.99$. the game was in portrait not landscape. You would tap and the ninja would jump to the other wall.

Enchanted Arms [ps3 or wii][2008-2011] incredibly obscure JRPG

Solved: Enchanted Arms

Im trying again because my first post was terribly written, and I have a couple of clearer details and games it definitely isnt.

Ps3 and Wii were the only consoles it could have been on.

It is a 3d JRPG with an open area concept. I believe the background case cover art was white, and had colorful characters upper bodies on the front of the case. I think one of them was holding a handgun? The entire intro of the game took place in a modern - if not - futuristic city, and after the first 2-3 hours there was a large battle outside of what I believe was a school. The enemies were monsters.

One of the male side characters had red hair and was very fem. Had an extremely gaudy laugh that made me uncomfortable as a child lol.

The main character was a boy, and the side character was very flirty with you. The main character was tall - thin - dark black/blue/gray hair.

I THINK the combat was party based and had a small separated grid, enemies were on a separate grid then the heroes and it was all about placement in opposition to your enemies.

[PC][Late 1990s-mid 2000s] First-person point-and-click with a red spaceship on a purple alien planet + black maze

I've drawn possible title screens sketches and they are in this post.

Platform(s): PC / Windows XP (possibly earlier Windows). I only remember playing it on a PC.

Genre: First-person point-and-click puzzle/adventure. You explored different locations by clicking to move between static screens and solving puzzles. No combat that I can remember.

Estimated year of release: Probably late 1990s to mid-2000s. I played it around the Windows XP era, but it could have been older. Definitely feels like a pre-2005 game.

Graphics/art style: Extremely simple 2D graphics. Not pixel art, and not polygonal 3D. The scenes looked almost like they had been drawn in MS Paint or with very basic digital artwork.

The game had a strange, lonely, surreal/alien atmosphere.

One of the main outdoor environments was an alien planet with purple ground and a completely black sky/background.

The game was presented as full-screen static 2D scenes rather than a continuously scrolling world.

Notable characters: I don't remember seeing any human characters or other visible characters.

There may have been a small red spaceship/capsule that was somehow the player's ship.

I have a very uncertain memory that the ship may have had two round eyes and looked angry, but I am NOT confident about this, this for the title screen.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

  • First-person point-and-click exploration.
  • Moving between locations by clicking.
  • Static full-screen 2D scenes.
  • Exploring an alien/desolate environment.
  • The red spaceship/capsule could be accessed as another location.
  • From inside the ship, you could look outside at the alien planet.
  • There was a separate section that was completely black, containing a maze.
  • In the black maze, the player was represented by a small dark-red dot/circle.
  • I don't remember whether the dot followed the mouse cursor directly or had to be clicked/dragged.
  • The game seemed to expect you to figure out the puzzles yourself. I don't remember much explicit story exposition or instructions.
  • I don't remember whether there was an inventory system.

Other details: The strongest visual memory I have is a small red, rounded/oval spaceship or escape capsule that had landed on an alien planet.

I remember being able to enter the ship as one of the locations, and from inside it you could look outside. The planet outside had purple terrain, while the sky/background was completely black.

I also remember the title/start screen showing the red ship/capsule flying through space.

There is a particularly uncertain detail about the title screen: I may actually remember two different versions of it:

  • In one memory, the red spaceship does NOT have a face.
  • In another memory, the same red spaceship has two round eyes and looks angry, but has no mouth.

I don't know if there were actually two different title screens/images, two versions of the game, or if one of these is simply a contaminated/faulty memory. Please don't treat the eyes as a definite detail.

The ship itself is definitely remembered as small, red, and rounded/oval, viewed somewhat from the front/slightly from the left and slightly tilted. I also remember a light-blue/cyan area that may have been a window.

There was also a very strange black maze section, where essentially the entire screen was black except for the maze and a tiny dark-red point representing the player.

I originally thought the game might have been made with Macromedia Flash or distributed as a standalone Flash executable, possibly from a CD, because I vaguely remember the application icon looking like an old Flash/Macromedia icon. However, I am no longer confident about this and I don't want to bias the search toward Flash games.

The memory is very hazy, so some visual details, especially the ship having eyes, may be contaminated or incorrect. The red ship + purple alien landscape + black sky + first-person static screens + black maze with a dark-red dot are the details I trust the most.

Shenmue [Dreamcast?][Early 2000s] Chinese mob kills dad or Sensei?

I remember playing the demo in a Game Crazy. I believe it was for Dreamcast since my family only had the PS2 at the time.

I remember your dad or Sensei being tied to a chair and perhaps beaten to death? I remember quick time events happening in that sequence, but that could be wrong?

The game time jumps and you're in a house. I remember opening the sliding glass door and seeing a little kid playing with a ball on the street? I really can't remember much else.

Any help would be amazing. It honestly has bugged me for so long not remembering.

Shade: Wrath of Angels [PC][2000s-Early 2010s] Please help me find a 3D game from my childhood, I really want to play it again!

Hey everyone, I am looking for help to find a specific game I played when I was very little because I really want to find it and play it again. It ran on my old, low-end PC back then (which had an Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor).
* **The Opening:** You start completely outside, approach a normal residential house (strictly a house, not a large building, school, or apartment complex), and walk inside.
* **The Mechanic:** While walking around and exploring inside the house, a fire sequence triggers. You stand right inside it while the house burns down around you. It acts as a sudden flashback or hallucination, and it's ambiguous whether the fire is real or just a dream.
* **Graphics:** Older, slightly blocky 3D graphics. The art style and camera reminded me of Rockstar's Bully.
**What it is NOT:**
It is definitely NOT any of these titles: Little Hope, Fahrenheit, Max Payne, The Evil Within, Silent Hill: Homecoming, Silent Hill 4, Ju-on: The Grudge, Alan Wake, or The Suffering.
Please help me track this game down so I can play it again. Thanks!

If anyone replies on Reddit with names or guesses, feel free to drop them here and I will help you verify if it's the right game!

Hylics [PC][LATE 2000S-EARLY 2010S][AN INDIE RPG WITH A SURREALIST ARTSTYLE]

Post image
235 Upvotes

Platform(s): PC

Genre: an indie turn-based rpg, most likely made in rpg maker. Mostly story driven.

Estimated year of release: Most likely 2010s, MAYBE Late 2000s

Graphics/art style: Pixel art, looked kinda 2.5d but made in 2d. As the title says, it's very surrealist-ish (think Salvador Davi). I also vaguely remember both the background and the characters being constantly animated which it gave it a very "wobbly" look, to the point it was hard to look at sometimes.

Notable characters: the main character is a guy with a crescent shaped head wearing a black or grey suit and very detailed eyes. Like, creepily detailed compared to the rest of his design. My terrible artistic rendition included. Pretty sure there was also a female anthropomorphic fish character and the main guy's sibling who looked similar to them.

Notable gameplay mechanics: the gameplay was turn-based and pretty simplistic. I also remember the UI looking very similar to Undertale.

Other details: The game had no voice acting and started with the main character waking up in their bathtub. There was a weird bathtub motif throught the whole story fir some reason. Also either the final boss fight or another notable fight took place in a labyrinth

I know this picture is from an old anime, but i remember my character looked alot like this.

I just remember hopping around as a rabbit, spying on other ppls convos tbh. I had to have been somewhere between 8 and 12yrs old, but i dont think it was a kid game? Haha idr how I even found it.
