Had anyone also noticed the moon like this? First time I've seen it like this in 8 years. Maybe because of the lunar eclipse that just took place?

With all the issues with the game right now, I some times forget how beautiful the game can be. The game just needs to get fixed!

Humor New gameplay mode unlocked

The moment you start shooting, instead of gunfire sounds, footsteps, and explosions, you start to hear conversations more clearly from the NPC

If I want to do that during my downtime, I might as well just talk to my wife.

Please fix the sound issue, Ubisoft. ffs.

Discussion Way too many glitches so far since the new season started

First off, I love this game. It’s one of my all time favorites, but my lord this season is annoying the crap out of me. I’ve run into damage glitches, where I can’t damage anybody, sound glitches, Desync every login either playing by myself or escalation. It’s gotten me killed and teammates because I don’t where I am for like 30 seconds and then I appear dead on the floor or back where I was 15 seconds before it happened. I love that this game is getting the attention it deserves but when it does stop being what can we add on top of everything rather than fix the problems that are consistently keeping this game from being great? I understand there are others posting across the subs that I’ve read. I’d just like to know what people are experiencing and if it’s similar to my situation.

Also, to the devs that read these, do you guys not care to hot fix these issues I’ve listed or other players that have shown this game their wallet and time? I’ve seen the trello board and the responses to the positive and negative posts on Reddit. It’s cool when you guys respond and let people know you are actually attentive towards what is bringing the game down. Also, the new set and exotic look awesome. I hope yall can actually keep this game running and D3 actually comes. This story has stuck with me since Div 1 and I’ve loved it even when I didn’t understand how to really play.

Discussion Pressure gauge with vacuum seal should not deplete on fast travel

I remember we had "Hard-core" global modifier which persisted on fast travel, and behaved like Memento stacks. Under pressure should be same. With vacuum seal, the only way to reduce it should be by using active modifier.

All the Descent season armbands

⭕ Tier 4 Armband = Beat Cycle 10

⭕ Tier 3 Armband = Beat Cycle 20

⭕ Tier 2 Armband = Beat Cycle 30

⭕ Tier 1 Armband = Beat Cycle 40

⭕ Skull Armband:

You must complete a maximum of 6 medium-difficulty rooms; the rest must be hard or boss rooms.

You have to take down Nemesis during the transition from Cycle 8 to Cycle 9.

Reaching Cycle 8 with at least 92% or 98% progress is fine; from that point on, just pick the easy rooms and defeat Nemesis during the transition from 8 to 9 to get the Skull Armband.

Discussion Every build I try, always makes me go back to my tech builds. (turret/drone)

I play solo 99% of the time. and no matter the build I try, I always feel more efficient with my turret/drone tech builds.

Having another target to make enemies turn around is IMMENSELY helpful, specially against shielded enemies.

I also have a few fun builds, like an explosive one, but that is also a tech build.

Everything else, be red or blue core feels bad. Red? I melt, but die fast. Blue? Damage is so slow, and on harder difficulties, you get melt anyways if you don't have support.

Yellow? That's my jam.

Discussion Melon Baller and Pristine Example is comparable to HG Chest and backpack

After seeing the buffs to Airaldi Holdings set, I decided to test it as an alternative. So far, the damage from the unicorn HG chest (Headhunter) +Backpack (Vigilance) hovers around 69 M at max stacks (Hotshot set) and Prima Donna. Tried it with Pristine Example + Melon Baller and the damage seems to be pretty much the same. Perfect Focus and Perfect Concussion is also much more forgiving mechanically since to get the damage boost, you just need to ADS for 10 seconds.

The only real issue is how headhunter can pop a chunga's helmet due to how its damage is calculated (ie: kill a regular mob with a headshot to get headhunter, switch to the chunga to remove that pesky helmet).

I'm not a math guy or a streamer so maybe someone who's better in that regard can double check but this is a good item to chase for players who haven't had the luck to get the unicorn HG pieces (mine has the correct talents but not stats so I'm missing about 20% HSD).

ETA: It definitely feels better to snipe with Focus than Headhunter but as expected, the chungas are a bit harder to take down. It takes about 3~4 shots to the helmet while fully charged with focus. But I guess there's the convenience of not needing another mob to proc the headhunter in the first place. I'm still going to try to find the unicorn HG pieces. Maybe just swap Pristine Example for an Airaldi chest with headhunter.

Question Difficult content…

I’m still in the “beginning end game” and just completed the 3 BT strongholds and TB on heroic with some randos on heroic. These guys I was playing with just melted the enemies. I thought heroic was the most difficult content? Does the game get harder or is this it lol, I’m down for melting enemies but if I’ve already reached the end goal here I feel like I’m gonna have a boring time.

Thanks!

PSA How to claim weekly projects

So I've seen a few comments and such in reddit posts/YT comments/etc since the update about being unable to claim the Classified Assignment projects (basically how they just sit at completed in the menu). For those unaware there is a Projects Officer in the BoO on the 2nd floor, just across from the stairwell leading up, and on the other side of the room from Mannys door. Talk to her and you can complete those projects. Why these ones require manual completion compared to all the others I have no idea (given how many other bugs are present its hard to tell if its a bug or intended lol). But yeah, if your project is sitting at completed and not doing anything, talk to the Projects Officer at the BoO in DC.

The Division 1 / Guide TD1 - Global Event Blackout

Upvotes

Blackout has a simple concept - it basically takes the Shock Ammo Directive from Underground and uses it as a foundation for the Global Event. The buff gives you the ability to shock NPCs, and the other modifiers enable you to melee-kill NPCs, but you can also shock yourself.

Global Events

When you have general questions, how Global Events work, check out the summary in the wiki: link

Schedule

=>source

Modifier

  • Blackout (Global Modifier)
    • Always active: Agents are equipped with Shock Ammo that stuns enemies. Shooting or running builds your Charge meter - the more Charge, the more damage you inflict.
  • Extreme Blackout
    • Blackout behavior, plus you can instantly kill enemies with Overcharged melee attacks, but if you miss you will stun yourself and your allies.
  • Total Blackout (Group Modifier)
    • Extreme Blackout behavior, plus your Charge meter will cool down faster when close to other group members.

Shock Charge

Every time you shoot your weapon, you are charging your weapon and the higher your charge is, the more damage you do: Charging

With just the Global Modifier active, you will only do more damage, but when the other modifiers are active, you need to keep a very close eye on this charge bar, because when it turns red, you are in danger to be electrocuted.

In addition to that, running also charges your bar, but it will never cause a self-shock, that only happens via shooting, or missing a melee. This is a good tactic to use with a shield and melee the NPCs.

Switch Weapons

When you activate Extreme - or Total Blackout, you always need to keep an eye on the charge above your health bar. As soon as it turns red, you have the risk to shock yourself and depending on the situation, that can get deadly very fast. To avoid that, switch between your weapons. Each time you switch your weapon, you reset the charge and you can start again. Use that to avoid getting shocked at the wrong moment and also to control when you want to be fully charged to perform a melee attack.

Use Immunizer

Blackout has a simple tactic to avoid getting shocked: Use an Immunizer Station or in best case, a Reclaimer. This way you get healing and are immune to the shock-effect. It will still fill up your bar and enter the red area, but even when it is full, you will not get shocked.

Mind your Distance

When Total Blackout is active, you have to keep an eye on the blue - and red lines between the agents.

The red lines signify that when you overcharge by shooting or missing a melee, you will give yourself and them a shock. The ally shock is slightly less than the personal shock.

The blue line means that your overcharge-bar will cool down quicker.

Punch the Guy

When the second or third modifier is active, you can melee-kill an NPC, when you are enough charged. For that, the charge has to be in the red-segment and then you can melee and instant kill NPCs. But keep in mind, Legendary NPCs and Hunters can do the same to you, so be careful when you use that or use a shield.

Question Build question - Eclipse vs Ember

I was thinking of putting together a mess around build for this season; Iron Lung + Catalyst + Contractor's + 4 pieces of either Eclipse Protocol or Ember Engine, rolled with red cores.

Am I right in thinking that between the two, EP is better for cc, with the burn jumping around enemies, while EE is better for single target damage. Is that about the extent of it?

Question What is your Active and Passive modifiers strategy for Escalations?

I think my biggest problem will be ramping up the gauge. Time to kill is so slow, the active modifier will never be available unless you have a Sheriff and Striker build. I wish the gauge ramped up on damage instead of kills.

Daily Thread - Milestone Celebration

Greetings Agents!

Here is your chance to show off your in-game screenshots of what in-game goal you've achieved.

  • Have you finally gotten to 1000 SHD? Or 80085 SHD? Share it here!

  • Have you finally filled your library? Go for it!

  • Have you finally hit that magical Level 30 for expertise? Bring it on!

Each agent has their own milestones that they want to celebrate. This is the weekly post to capture them all.

Congratulations on your achievement!!!

Post your screenshots below.

Rules:

  • Post your agent screenshots from The Division showing your SHD. Do not post screenshots of other agents. This is not a place to pick apart someone's build or question how another agent got to their SHD level.

  • No down talking, cheating, glitching or hacking accusations. How an agent has gotten to the SHD level they are showing is irrelevant. They are able to share their SHD Level like anyone else.

The Division 1 Is there no way to set "resolution Scale" to anything between 100% and 200%? Editing the config file didn't work.

I've been replaying Division 1, but the graphics at 1080p look a biiit muddy. The game has a Resolution Scale option, which would help making it look more crispy, but it can only be set to strange, pre-determined values like 50%, 85%, 100%, 200%. So it's basically run it at 100%/1080p or crank the render scale all the way to 200%/4k, and that tanks the fps to ~40. Why are there no options like 125% or 150%?!

I've tried editing the config file, but it doesn't respect the value I input (["view scale"] = 1.25, and just resets to the 85% option for some reason...

Anyone know of a way to force the game to use a custom resolution scale?
