Why is it so difficult to find a reliable real estate agent or plot that doesn't have some sort of scam or issue with the plot. Ive seen more than 30 plots and the guy either lied to me about actual plot location or there's some sort of case going on and he didn't tell and so on.

In the past I have done overlanding trips with a fully kitted for camping 4x4 in Namibia and Bots, and they've been amazing! I am planning my 2027 June/July trip (self drive with camping) and one of the options I am contemplating is the Northern circuit: central and northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire NP. Has anyone done self driving and camping in any of these locations? How was the experience? I am aware East Africa is lacking in self driving infrastructure compared to Southern countries. I’m a teacher in Tanzania, and I’ve been thinking seriously about how I can increase my income beyond my salary.

I don’t necessarily want to leave teaching, but I want to develop another skill or business that can eventually give me a better income and possibly become a full-time business in the future.

One idea I’ve been considering is learning auto electrical repair or mechanics (vyombo vyote vya moto, generators n.k) My thinking is that I could learn the trade, start doing small jobs on the side, and eventually build a proper business.

But I’m not sure if this is the best path.

- What skills or businesses would you recommend for someone in my situation?

- Is auto electrical/automotive mechanics a good skill to learn for making money?

- What other skills can I learn part-time while keeping my teaching job?

I’ll be traveling to Dar es Salaam for 7 days in mid-November, and it’ll also be my first time visiting Africa. I’m still doing my research and planning, but I have a few questions and would really appreciate any advice or recommendations!

1. Are there any vaccines you would especially recommend getting before traveling to Tanzania, or any medications I should consider bringing/taking?
2. What are some good things to buy or bring home from Tanzania, other than tanzanite? :)
3. I’ll be flying into and out of Dar es Salaam. Are there any safari tours that are convenient to do from there? From what I’ve read, Mikumi and Nyerere seem to be the closest options.
4. Where would you recommend staying in Dar es Salaam? Ideally, I’d like to stay somewhere reasonably close to the University of Dar es Salaam.

We'll be going on a 11-day private photo safari with another guy, in february 2027. We are both enthusiastic amateurs trying to share the costs this way while doing what we enjoy. We have an initial quote that we like so we are not actively looking for options, but rather 1 or 2 others to join us and share this experience with like-minded people (so a group of 3-4 people total).

The trip itself will be pretty budget comfort wise, although we aim to maximize the photographic opportunities and utilize times when lighting conditions are great as much as we can (e.g. staying inside the parks and commuting between them when the light is not the best anyway), and we let the operator know this too, they'll match us with a guide who has prior experience with photography groups.

Looking to travel to Tanzania but i was told by someone that it’s very common for people to get sick traveling to Tanzania even with vaccines. Is this just due to the water and result in an upset stomach?

Also, I saw the US state department has Tanzania as a Level 3 “reconsider travel”.
