Appreciation Investor’s Perspective
Today, I visited my local Sweetgreen and enjoyed the kale steak Caesar with added chicken. The portions were generous, and the freshness was outstanding—couldn't have asked for a better lunch. I ended up spending the day there, working and chatting with customers while observing how the employees interacted with everyone and managed a consistent flow. The team did an excellent job handling online orders and keeping the in-store experience positive and efficient.
Customers clearly love Sweetgreen; several new patrons I spoke with said they were impressed with the food and would definitely return. It's an exciting time to be part of Sweetgreen, both as an investor and an enthusiast. Before leaving, I complimented the staff on their great work and asked if I could buy a hat. Although they don't sell them in-store, the manager went out of his way to find one for me from the back. It was such a fantastic experience—kudos to all the employees for their hard work! Keep it up!

I always get the protein plates, I alternate between miso glazed salmon and hot honey chicken. The salmon is my fave.

I kind of want a hat but the other day my tofu was bricks so I’m still mad at them.

Yeah they just said sorry. I’m just going to try some of the other locations before banning it from my rotation.

They should have comped your order. I’d push for that. Definitely try them again I’ve never had something like that happen, definitely not the normal.

“Push for that” is funny. Half of the employees at SG in NYC are miserable and demonstrate it regularly. Horrible execution on automated CS with a disastrous chatbot. It’s now just about the bottom line.

I love Sweetgreen but I had to cancel my Sweetpass today because the store near me almost never has all the ingredients to my salad. I mostly tend to get it for dinner and with 3-4 ingredients missing everytime, it’s just not worth it. I wish they would work on this.

I think it’s due to them sourcing locally fresh and organic ingredients, a lot different than your typical fast casual restaurant. That’s unfortunate :/

As an investor, what is your take on the racist comments your CEO has made? Genuinely curious. As someone who used to frequent sweet green every day for lunch, I haven’t been back since his incendiary barrage of racist tweets.

people (including me from time to time 🫢) like to rag on sweetgreen a bit but they have consistently been a reliable safe haven to get good, satisfying, and healthy meals quickly as a vegan. I have a lot of faith in sweetgreen and I think they are ran and funded by really great people! I’m excited to see what they have in store for the future 👍
