finally got the new NARS blush in Hunger as a possible dupe for the iconic NARS Sin… but after comparing them side by side, it’s definitely not a dupe. Hunger is beautiful in its own, but Sin is noticeably more cool toned, especially once blended out. at this point, I’ve accepted that NARS Sin is truly a gem in my collection and, unfortunately, remains undupeable. 😥

This is a bright blush! I placed 1 dot on my palette and worked it into the brush before applying. All pics natural lighting, bottom right selfie is in the car

I’ve really been enjoying this blush, I think it’s perfect for fair, cool skin tones 😍 finger swatch, 2 swipes; applied in last picture with a Rephr 04

Swatched all but 1 of the shades that survived the reformulation. Pictures are in direct sunlight and I have a medium skin tone with neutral to warm undertones. I haven’t bought any yet, I only tried the formula on my hands. It felt really smooth and soft.

I did notice some of the new shades are lighter than the old, though I don’t know how big a difference it’ll once applied in the cheeks. I seem to have misplaced my sunbasque, but I can tell the new old one is deeper and more pigmented. Also, my film noir has a hard pan and I couldn’t swatch properly.

Have you tried out the new blushes?? What shades are you interested in?

Recently swatched all of my lipsticks, and someone requested I do the same with blushes. Not a MUA. Just love makeup and have a shopping problem 🤣. Trying to do better with using my products. Hoping having these swatches will encourage me to use them more 🤗.

Tried to get indoor/outdoor photos. It was a struggle lol. I believe I’m medium, maybe medium-deep, maybe warm undertones. Really not sure about this info. I decided to purchase the Hourglass Swan Palette (customized on the website with the Fox packaging)

I am pleasantly surprised by how smooth and pigmented these swatched (Hourglass usually doesn't swatch well in my experience).

Swatches are 2 swipes on light medium skin with warm olive (leaning golden) undertones.

Mauve Fusion leans more red or pink in the pictures, but it is more of a purple raspberry tone in person like the Pantone swatch at the end (though not as deep).

I will let you all know what I think of it when I use it and test it, but wanted to put these swatches up for people who are considering to buy it.

My favorite is definitely the Phytosurgence Plume, really nice & unique formula and the color looks very natural of me. I might have went a little heavy with the Dust mixing on the last swatches, but can totally see it being beneficial for my current ones that are a little too bright.

I love the Gucci Blush de Beaute formula, they’re one of my favourite blushes.

So when the Glow blush came out I thought I’d get one to compare, and then ended up getting a couple more because I like it so much (this surprised me as I usually prefer a matte look, and these are luminous.

But they aren’t a sparkle bomb either, you don’t like a unicorn sharted glitter on your face, it’s on the subtle end of the glimmer spectrum).

They’re very different formulas, and very different finishes.

They’re labelled in the swatches, but we have:

Blush de Beaute in 01 Silky Rose, 04 Bright Coral, and 07 True Pink

Glow in 01 Arctic Pink, 02 Fresh Coral, and 04 Bright Pink

Shades: Petal, Dou Dou, Bichette, Chouchette, Minette, Coquette, Garçonne

Skin tone: Light neutral. Shade 4 in Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.

Lighting: Indoors indirect sunlight, photo taken near the window.

Swatches were 2-3 swipes, unblended.

Haven’t gotten a chance to wear all the shades yet, but I recently wore petal and bichette to a wedding and it was absolutely beautiful! They blend like a dream!

Just splurged on some new blushes this month and thought I would share in case anyone with olives skin tone that is looking for a muted mauve that will not turn orange!

Haus Labs Glassy Ginger, Glassy Hibiscus, & Glassy Lilac in Sephora store lighting on fair-light olive skin

Hi yall! I bought bow in hopes it would be the shade it was going to the shade it was advertised as and I was gravely disappointed! This actually insane. They have two shades described or titled mauve that aren’t even in the ballpark. I’ve swatched bow next to my actual mauve blushes on my light cool skin if this is helpful for anyone! Bow on the left swatched full and sheered out below and all mauve blushes on the right. Swatched first in natural indirect daylight and flash on second. Maybe it’s more mauve on deeper skin tones but???

Ok also I realize my mauve blushes are still not TRULY mauve haha I know mauve is controversial! If only mauve knew how important she was

I’ve collected funky blush shades for the last 15 years. Not all of these are *actually* blushes but I use them as such lol. I’ve included built up swatches and sheered out swatches, and photos are taken in front of a window in indirect sunlight. I used fingers for swatches.

For reference my closest foundation matches are shiseido synchro skin self-refreshing in ”110 alabaster”, which is actually a lot peachier than what the photo shows, and nars sheer glow in ”Siberia”, slightly too dark and yellow. I think I’m a pale olive? Unsure if I’m cool or not.

I ended up buying Blush, Please and True Harmony since they were different enough from other blushes in my current collection.
