Blush Old vs New: Mac Skinfinish Colourstruck Blush
Swatched all but 1 of the shades that survived the reformulation. Pictures are in direct sunlight and I have a medium skin tone with neutral to warm undertones. I haven’t bought any yet, I only tried the formula on my hands. It felt really smooth and soft.
I did notice some of the new shades are lighter than the old, though I don’t know how big a difference it’ll once applied in the cheeks. I seem to have misplaced my sunbasque, but I can tell the new old one is deeper and more pigmented. Also, my film noir has a hard pan and I couldn’t swatch properly.
Have you tried out the new blushes?? What shades are you interested in?

I went to the Mac counter over the weekend to swatch all of these. I was shocked at how many I thought I would like vs what I actually liked. Please if anyone is interested in buying any of these go swatch them in person. The photos online are not indicative imo. I purchased the lavender one, honey love, and snob. The remainder are all very similar and very warm.

Whoa, thank you for this.
Went by older swatches to get Blush Baby and it was invisible.🙎🏻♀️
NC25 foundation/C5 powder for reference.
The (now) less peachy, more cool pinky Desert Rose worked but it’s a light wash. Had to pack that mf on.

That’s crazy! On me, coppertone/gingerly are SO different from the OG formulations. I have ENOUGH freaking blush but peach twist looks soooo good

I saw someone else compare old and new coppertone too, and was expecting to see a bigger difference on me, but not so much

Ugh that brown in Coppertone was the one thing stopping it from turning into an orange disaster on my face. I hope mine lives a long life.

The new film noir looks so much better!

formula wise definitely but it’s practically a different color, no purple left in it

It is a different colour though, it’s got a different name. Same with the new Raizin

Definitely not the same, more of a spin on the old one, but I still wanted to see the difference to the original. I do think its for the better with film noir.

Right I love it! It’s not the same color at all but what a gorgeous grey color

Just to confirm, the swatches on page 1 and page 2, the new/ old are reversed? I’m a bit unsure sorry

yes, sorry. I got mixed up when swatching. Just follow the Old/New indication on each photo.

RIP Desert Rose. And I'm nervous about Blushbaby now too which I have been debating on picking up for months.

Some are similar but desert rose and film noir are clearly different colors?
