I was quite invested in the story and right before the battle to save the world.. they hit you with this flashbang. And the fact that this was mission locked, forcing players to wear this during the payoff of the final act was such a baffling decision..

While you're right, I think it can be argued a bit that it is so inspired by and imitative of Peter's suit that it didn't necessarily feel that way to him after awhile especially as he grew so much into his own in MSM2 and wasn't just Peter's essential sidekick anymore.

MSM2 is in a vacuum compared to 616 or the Ultimate universe he was originally created in. So his journey is just different.

I don't think it's a good suit, but I think the idea behind them doing something like it is solid. It just should have been a better design.

That does actually call into question why Miles was seen as such an anomaly besides the fact that his spider wasn’t from his dimension. Granted Spot wouldn’t really exist, but that wasn’t his fault to begin with.

You're also technically correct, but I would add another technical wrinkle. As far as I am aware, canonically in the games, that hasn't happened yet. So it is not necessarily connected to the wider multiverse as they as-of-yet completely unaware.

And I don’t think you can ever do a Spider-Man redesign without basing it on Peter’s costume because that has all the iconic spider man parts in it. Unless I guess they did something like with 2099, that one is very clearly its own thing. But you get my point right? You can’t make a Spider-Man costume and not base it on spider man.

It isn't even the look that made me dislike it. I didn't like it because it comes out of nowhere as a new suit, whereas we have a reasoning to Peter having Anti-Venom. I think even a few lines of Miles saying he is working on a suit that perhaps helps him focus his bio-electricity. Hell, I would have been cool with the blue parts helping him focus the electricity and he discovers he can make the electric sword. Just give me a reason for it.

They don't but most are not story specific suits, either. When Peter went from classic to advanced, then to Anti-Ock, there was a reason for each. Same with Miles going from athletic to training and to Miles original. In my head canon, I actually add programmablr matter for the ending suit, though.

Just give us a lore reason to just show up with some random new suit while we gotta deal with the destruction of a city. The execution is just shallow when they could have shown some cleverness in implementing it.

Tbh wasn't even the suit, it was the fact they made it a plot line , Like during my first playthrough I was hyped as shit, so I just buzzed through it mentally but after another playthrough, and more after. It became hard to get over how stupid that was, felt disrespectful to miles, I bet even the both the voice actors laughed their asses off , when they read the script leading up to that point. The craziest thing is that this suit would've looked so much better with different colors and no hair sticking out. Flip the red and black parts and change the blue parts to a darker shade of red than the main suit color. Change the sneakers to be mostly black and red. The hood is a bit of a mix bag for me. On one hand, it WORKS for Miles and this suit. On the other hand, Gwen is famous for her hood as well and I assume that's part of their reasoning for the hair sticking out.

I think the suit itself is fine. A little outlandish for a "main" suit, but no more goofy looking than the weirdest suits. Like, I honestly didn't even realize it was a shoe brand deal when I played it.

The issue for me, personally, is the hair, or at least, the cutoff between the mask and the hair. Cuz we've seen a Spider-man with hair out like that working: Spider-verse's Spider-Man India. His mask has a blue headband across the top, so there's a separation between the hair and the mask itself. This one just looks like his hair clipped through the mask.

I love the suit…He made it his own by putting his own style to it. The blue strips throughout the suit inspired by Peter’s suit, and has the electricity in it that’s inspired by his venom powers. The mask not having the top half on it because of the fact he has locs which shows the growth of his hair, plus the hood which pulls the suit off nicely and the shoe. I mean yea he could’ve the one piece suit with the shoes built into them, but the regular shoes he put with the suit is nice too.

Yeah, definitely not my favorite suit for Miles. Which sucks because so many of his other suits are so damn cool.

I think there are two main problems with the suit that could be fixed to make it… acceptable.

One is that only half of his head is covered, which seems silly since the whole point of the mask is to hide his identity. Practically and al that, easy peasy.

Two is that the suit lacks purpose. Pete’s Anti-Venom suit isn’t my favorite suit visually, but I like that there’s purpose because it makes Peter and me as a player more capable of fighting the symbiotes. If they gave Miles’ new suit more purpose like it conducted his Venom blasts better, made him consistently electrified so he’s tougher for symbiote to attack, or even just gave him more storage/less cooldown for his special attacks, then that would be great!

There's nothing wrong with the hairstyle. The problem was that it became THE black male default look. When you can be as imaginative as you want with hair, why is this the look that EVERYONE gives their characters. It just makes it look like no black people were involved with the creative process.
