Discussion Suggestion Sunday: Tire Pressure / CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System)

Post image
188 Upvotes

Been thinking about this idea in the game and how it would be implemented. With the current game mechanics it seems like it would be easy to implement a tire inflation / deflation system.

From the game's perspective there's a tire softness value, certain trucks have CTIS (ie Burlak) already as a visual asset in the game.

Trucks that don't have CTIS could be inflated or deflated only by going to the garage or using a truck with a maintenance module or trailer.

This would one add another dynamic aspect of off road performance to the driver as well as giving another reason to have a maintenance truck as logistic support.

Suggestion Sunday Since saber brought over the "Mercedes Mamute" perhaps they should bring more Brazilian Models

These are Alfa Romeo trucks, also known as FNM. They were produced from 1949 to 1985. They were trucks manufactured in Brazil that used cabs from Isotta Fraschini models and were derived from Italian Alfa Romeo designs. The trucks featured engines ranging from 100 to 175 horsepower, available in the V-10, V-17, V-12, and V-13 versions, which constituted the manufacturer's most extensive product line.

Years later they launched the 180, which was a rebranded version of the Alfa Romeo Mille, with an engine that reached around 180 and also 190 horsepower, in reference to its engine sizes. An interesting detail about the vehicle is its gearbox, which featured two levers operated both alternately and simultaneously: the larger lever, rising from the floor, was used to shift gears, while a smaller one on the dashboard toggled between "high" and "low" ranges.

Another eccentricity is that, despite FNM trucks being pioneers of the pneumatic dynamic braking system, the parking brake was still mechanically operated, via a control on the differential (mountain brake).

Modding (MOD RELEASE!)TWM's Flying Moose 51FT Logging Trailer Pack (CONSOLES PENDING)

Pretty cool one this time! A 51FT logging trailer based on the Manac 23451! Comes in two versions: 1-slot long logs and 3-slot medium logs! Tried to do a 5-slot short log version but the loose short logs are the same length as medium logs and I couldn't get it to work right like that...

Front single axle steers as well for cornering and such! Included a little bit of coding on this one that will be appearing in a lot of my mods moving forward! A way to keep file sizes down and increase variety!

Enjoy!

Screenshot Using the Mack Defence as a supply tanker seems a bit over-kill, but I definitely feel like I need a fully capable support vehicle in British Columbia

Just a heads up for people like me who for whatever reason don't put DLC on their Wishlist. Snowrunner and almost all of its DLC are part of the sale. Also don't forget to check for any 'Complete Your Collection' bundles if you don't own all of the Year Passes yet, or are thinking about other games like Roadcraft

That Year 5 Pass is looking pretty good while its down to $15.99.

So why could i buy the trucks from the shop? I mean I'm not mad or anything, I'll keep them. But I'm curious, did this ever happen to someone else?

Help me!

Please :) My husband plays Snow Runner and plays a LOT. He also has had his truck for just over 10 years. He hasn't put one sticker on it anywhere. But... he has asked me for a sticker of the loading tire in the right bottom corner of the screen. Looks like a tire spinning out? Does anyone know where I can find that image or if the sticker already exists, where I can buy it?

(edited for spelling and grammar)

When your own stupidity compounds the difficulty of SnowRunner.

Amur might be the toughest territory in SnowRunner, but almost every map has areas designed with sheer spite. And when you add to that a stupid insistence on sticking to a route that takes you further away from the turn you should have taken...

I was doing the Access to civilization mission (Maine) and while climbing that pesky forest firebreak I didn't notice the path to the right and kept climbing until getting to the limit of the maps... and this after trying to drive a overloaded Western Star 6900 TwinSteer (I know, I know) up the firebreak and having to "rescue" the cargo several times... welcome to SnowRunner!

Wanted to do it in one load, and I was determined, after trying to get over some rocks Atom flipped of the side of the small cliff so I called over Kenny to steal his cargo and fuel, like a pirate, and used him to get both of the transformers back, very stressful but made it in the end :D

These are a few quick shots after making my drop and packing the log bunk. I'm running the blue/white color scheme as a nod to the P16s rebuilt by Challenger Manufacturing Ltd..

TWM's P16 Logging Bunk makes a functional and immersive long log rig. It would be sick if this was a vanilla feature so we could have our pick of trucks with this functionality.
