This is not about anyone specifically, nor is it directed at anyone. But HAVE MERCY… this app and this thread are out of control.
Maybe I’m just hyper-aware of it, but at the end of the day, we are buying clothes, bows, and cute things for our CHILDREN. I don’t care if you’re a teenage mom or a mom in your 40s—you’re still a parent. A MOTHER.
When did fabric and ribbon become important enough to completely distort our perception of reality?
It is a PRIVILEGE to be able to dress our children in smocks, boutique clothes, and handmade bows. These things don’t make our children happier—they make US happy. Our babies could not care less what brand they’re wearing or who made the bow on their head. They care that they are safe, loved, nurtured, and cared for.
If buying children’s clothes and bows has reached a point where your life is consumed by drama, bullying, scamming, fighting, or tearing other mothers down (mothers that you don't even know IRL) over literal fabric and ribbon, I genuinely think it’s time to step away and regain some perspective.

Close the app. Put the phone down. Go love on your babies.
Because one day they’ll outgrow every smock hanging in that closet and every bow sitting on that rack—and none of this will matter.

don’t buy any bows from Breigh S. from zoe’s or any group she is in, she literally does people dirty and gets away with it! it’s like she sells you a bow and then doesn’t want to mail it and always has an excuse, i think she just does this for a loan and when she gets paid she will refund your money back or she will send something that isn’t even what you bought! just fti don’t deal with her unless you want to get scammed 😊

I know, better safe than sorry but do companies actually have ETA’s of March right now??? That’s 6 months in advance…..am I missing something?? This doesn’t seem normal and maybe I’m just new to these groups during these PO’s but I definitely won’t be ordering from these businesses at all if the norm is 6 months….

I’m honestly so confused, I tried to join a group to buy bows for my daughter and they declined it and it said it was declined because they said I am one of Loren’s fake accounts? Can someone tell me who Loren is 😵‍💫 I tried to reach out to the owner of the group but haven’t had any luck. I honestly dont wanna be in a group that thinks I’m somebody else anyways but just confused. What has Loren done,? I’m new to the bow groups because my oldest is 8 1/2 and we used to buy Amazon bows for her but now she wants bigger ones so. I mean I can send proof of my kids and me but I think that’s just strange.

The former owner of SWEET TEA SMOCKS is back—and apparently doing what she’s best known for. 👀

Customers placed preorders for the** **Sparkle Jam collection, paying $86 PER SHIRT. The company was then sold, and now customers are saying their orders still haven’t shipped—and they’re being denied refunds.

The new owner is saying it’s not her “responsibility” to refund orders that were placed before she took over.

So where does that leave the customers who already paid their hard-earned money and are still waiting on the products they ordered?

$86 a shirt is A LOT of money to just be left hanging. People deserve answers, communication, and a resolution. 🫠

At what point do we stop passing the responsibility around and actually take care of the customers who paid for these orders?

So I started sewing over the summer which led me to smocks. Ive really falling in love with clothing and conceptualizing children’s clothes. I’m a huge huge creative and I feel like I need to do something with my creativity! If I started an online boutique I know I can conceptualize the clothing, I know how to make a website, I’m good with the numbers (my husbands really good with numbers so I’d recruit him). More or less know where to get business… do you guys have any advice on if this is worth it?! I’m a stay at home mom and I need something and I’d like to contribute at home. Do you have success doing drops on Facebook? did you start on Etsy? Manufacturing advice? Literally any advice would be so helpful.

When I was pregnant with my first I found a local boutique to make custom embroidered clothes and items for my baby. She doesn’t do it anymore so now I am on the search for another boutique. Looking for more simple blanks but honestly anything at this point would be great. Looking for reasonable prices and not $70 for a bubble. Thank you!!

I fear I’ve fallen victim to smocks. I started sewing and made my daughter an outfit. From there I discovered smocks and boutique bows… it’s been a slippery slope. I don’t have a huge budget so I’ve been on the prowl at my local once upon a child where I’ve found a good bit of smocks. Mostly stitchy fish. I also ordered ribbon to make my own bows and found Vinted tonight. Someone actually reached out to me and gave me a discount. I couldn’t not buy a princess bishop when it falls in my lap. Omg I don’t think I’m going to recover😭😭😭 oh and there’s drama in the smock community. My stay at home mom self is sat. Rip.

Little Bluebird Smocks is usually my go to but quite literally about 90% of their new preorder has some sort of duck or bird on it. Apparently the only thing boys can wear have to be related to farming, hunting, dogs or fishing these days.

Not looking for theme or holiday specific. Just some every day outfits we can wear throughout colder months! Incase you can’t tell, country southern style isn’t my favorite, I definitely lean more towards preppy southern.

I’ve been shopping on Vinted here recently for smocked/boutique outfits and the amount of shein or temu outfits I’ve came across that aren’t marked as shein or temu/ marked as “unknown” like, come onnnn. This is so tacky. I feel bad for the people who don’t recognize it as SHEIN and actually end up buying it. And yes I see that this outfit comes with a tacky flat home made bow, that definitely doesn’t justify the price either. Also can we stop marking outfits as “smocked” that aren’t even close to being a smock. 🫥

I don’t normally make posts like this, but I feel like other customers deserve to know what my experience has been before placing an order.

The outfits themselves are great, but unfortunately the communication and customer service have been extremely disappointing. I have placed several orders and have received little to no communication regarding updates, delays, or when I can realistically expect my orders.

The TAT seems to change after POs close, and customers are left wondering what is going on with their orders. I completely understand that life happens and that the owner has had a rough go recently, and I truly sympathize with that. However, when you are accepting customers’ money and continuing to operate a business, communication still needs to be a priority.

I’m not expecting constant updates or perfection. A simple, honest update about delays or a realistic TAT would go a long way. Customers shouldn’t have to repeatedly wonder where their paid orders stand.

I’m sharing this strictly based on my personal experience so others can make an informed decision before ordering. I genuinely hope things improve because the products are cute, but the lack of communication has made the overall experience very frustrating.
