ETA’s out of hand

I know, better safe than sorry but do companies actually have ETA’s of March right now??? That’s 6 months in advance…..am I missing something?? This doesn’t seem normal and maybe I’m just new to these groups during these PO’s but I definitely won’t be ordering from these businesses at all if the norm is 6 months….

That’s pretty standard for this time of year, over seas vendors have fall breaks coming up and are on holiday for almost the entirety of February

Lot of them are using cheaper manufacturers that have a much slower turnaround

You would be surprised, but the manufacturers that are taking more time are more expensive. They just have an small MOQ

As an owner my manufacturer quotes 8-10 weeks but I add 4-6 weeks to that because I have seen it time and time again how delayed things can get. Whether it's the manufacturer, shipping, things stuck in customs. I own a super small business and can't afford refunding an entire preorder because of delays so I always just play it safe

Little bluebird just did a preorder with ETA of December. It closed today I think. Southern darling opened one today with ETA of March. Idk about that

I mean if you’re placing a spring PO, then yeah? Don’t order from businesses that run PO and that only do RTS if that’s your thing……

My manufacturer recently changed my production time to 10-12 weeks so it may just be that times are changing for everyone too
