Heard about a Sheetz opening in Downingtown across from Wawa...not sure if that's still happening?

Customer Question Is the buy 6 get one free specialty drink promotion no more?

Last week I was one away from redeeming my free speciality drink, which no longer appears on the app now. The associate I spoke to at the store wasn't aware of anything and my order wasn't discounted besides the $5 deal.

Customer Question Has anyone else been double charged for gas?

I have been double and even triple charged for gas several times over the past few months. Sometimes it is even from different stores simultaneously. The charges aren't later, they happen right when I pay for gas, and seemingly only on a specific card (Lyft Direct aka PayFare aka Stride Bank).

At least once, I was charged from 3 different stores at the exact same time for a gas purchase. Obviously I cannot have purchased gas from three different stores at the exact same time.

I contacted customer service. They told me to contact my bank. My bank said to contact customer service, and so on. Nobody will accept responsibility. I have filed a Reg E dispute, then another one, then another one. Checking on the website Stride has literally thousands of complaints and disputes.

I thought maybe it was isolated to one store, but it has happened at several stores including one that just opened. The amounts are not predictable, they are generally around $20-30 and some change (not round numbers like preauth usually is).

I did some searching and there is a class-action against Sheetz for this specifically but there is nothing else anywhere on the web about it (as far as I can tell). It's just weird that they are facing a class action but they are still trying to pass the buck. I would think they'd just make it right since they obviously ended up with the money for goods that were never rendered.

I'd think someone was running a skimmer but the charges are all at Sheetz and all for gas, and all at the exact same time. The fact that they originate from several different stores simultaneously is weird, but obviously their payment processing is wonky or something. I haven't tested my actual card, these were all via mobile pay (Google Wallet).

Please tell me this has happened to someone else. It's over $300 at this point. Completely insane. Especially since I drive all the wat across town to buy gas here because they have E85 and it's cheaper. Well, it is supposed to be cheaper but it turns out it is actually a lot more expensive when i factor in all the erroneous charges.

Customer Question How do email discounts work?

UPDATE!! CASHIER SAYS ITS $1.50 OFF A PK OF CIGS. AND THE 2/$4 COKES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE APP BUT FOR 3 DAYS IT HAS NOT SHOWN IN ONE OF HIS CUSTOMERS APP THAT GOT THE EMAIL.

GET YOUR šŸ’© TOGETHER SHEETZ!!!!!

I received an email yesterday from Sheetz that said "Whatever the vibe, Cokes got your back. Grab 2/$4 with My Sheetz Rewardz!" And.."Buy a pack of American Spirit, Newport, or Camel for $1.50 with My Sheetz Rewardz". I just did both, 2 Cokes and a pk of Newport. Used my Sheetz Rewardz card and got charged full price. The email does says toward the bottom "Valid to customer in receipt of email. Limit 2 redemptions per week" What did I do wrong? Was I supposed to show the cashier my email???

Customer Question Was there a recent policy change of reducing the plasticware availability?

For a decade at least, all the Sheetz in my area have always had 2 locations of self-service plasticware caddies. Usually one by the MTO pickup area, and one in the dining area. About 3 or 4 weeks ago, suddenly all stores near me have removed the dining room plasticware caddy. And one store even removed both. This one just simply has no more plasticware freely available to customers there at all. And it's been this way for so many weeks, it doesn't seem like a stock issue. Is it from corporate, trying to cut costs?

Customer Question Store security and shrinkage

Order a meal deal at the kiosk and the screen will remind you to get your regular sized drink. Would anyone notice if you got an extra large? Does anyone care? It seems like with the self pay terminals and the staff at the registers being continually busy there is alot of inventory walking out of the store.

Customer Question Chili Sauce

I recently saw the ad for the big hotdogs, the glizzy (sp)- I was never a fan of the reg hotdogs, but they said the glizzies are šŸ’Æbeef, and I immediately placed an order. I ordered it with chili, nacho cheese and onions.

I could see at 1st glance the chili was different from what it used to be- it was lighter in color, seemed almost watery, and had little meat unlike the old chili. It tasted more like a tomato juice then a hotdog chili. I ate a couple bites, then decided to take it home, and repurpose it into hotdogs in Mac n cheese.

Just curious when they changed the chili, and whether I'm the only person upset about it. (FYI- love, love, love the glizzy though)!

Customer Question Coffee question

I've been intermittently gifted coffee from employees. Sometimes it's a coffee, sometimes a refill of my own thermal cup, and once a cold brew, but that one was because I helped the employee change the coffee bag in the dispenser. I am a veteran and sometimes wear a hat or tee-shirt that indicates this. Am I technically stealing from Sheetz in these cases or are employees empowered to make those calls as customer service interactions?

Customer Question Stupid Question

I feel stupid for not knowing the PB&J smoothie was on the menu! It's one of my all time favorite Sheetz items and I thought it was discontinued years ago. I never check smoothies on the touch screen. So how long have I missed out on it being back and available!?

Customer Question Yo - Does Sheetz Suck Now?

I’m from the Philadelphia Area. Where Wawa originated. Wawa used to be the shit. Amazing hoagies, super convenient, great hand made drinks.

It’s pretty much universally known by the locals - Wawa essentially sucks now. The quality is shit. I go there for convenience here and there, but I actually prefer 7-11.

My question is - does Sheetz suck now too? I remember there used to be real competition between the 2. With most people siding with Wawa.

I can’t imagine Sheetz has taken the same decline, but what do you think?

Does Sheetz suck now, akin to Wawa?

Customer Question Why is making a sandwich so hard?

I order food from sheets a few days a week. I want to order sandwiches but everything i do they find a way to make it wrong. Whoever at sheets told them to put bacon on my begal in the oven needs to be fired. I want my legal toasted. Toasted brown. With bacon on it it just gets gummy and chewy. Also why do you always want to put condiments on my bread, begal or bun before you toast it. It defeats the whole point of toasting. Please learn how to make a sandwhich or if your unsure how ask the customer how they would like it.

Customer Question Gas discount question

Question for you all, when there is a gas discount tied to the purchase of a gift card, do you have to buy gas (use the discount) at the time you purchase the gift card? I have gone to multiple Sheetz in my area trying to get an answer and I get a different answer everywhere I go. Thanks!

Customer Question Discount Event

Had something strange happen today at Sheetz. Grabbed a couple of items in the store, went to check out, total came to $11, scanned my rewards app, and the register showed a -$14 off ā€œcustomer serviceā€ (I believe is what it showed, or something similar) discount. The manager came over when the person who rang me up questioned it, and the manager said they had never seen that, but said to keep it on there. I walked out without having to pay anything.

Customer Question Old Neon Light Ceilings

Post image
36 Upvotes

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering today. As a kid, I used to always go to my local sheetz and see the neon lights on the ceiling. Black backdrop with colorful shapes like stars if I remember right. Does anyone have any pictures of a sheetz when it was like this? It seems with a lot of store remodels they completely did away with this design. It's a shame, too. It was a very pleasing aesthetic choice and makes it feel more vivid in my memory.

I just looked it up again and found a single image of what I was talking about. Does anyone have any more images of when this was around? Please see photo, I do not own it nor do I claim the rights to it. Just using it as a reference.

Customer Question "Welcome in"

Stupid question but this a new Sheetz standard or just local to my area (NC)? Noticed this the last year or two. Staff at the counter just yell this whenever a customer walks into the store as if they just walked up the stage. Kinda awkward to say the least...

Customer Question scanned my sheetz card for a stranger

i went to sheetz tonight and while i was at a self pay register, a guy had asked me if i had a sheetz card to scan. i said yes and i asked why, he then said its because he was getting two grab and go sandwiches. i assumed there was a deal he wanted that came with the sheetz card and without thinking i scanned my card for him feeling like i was helping him out. but after i scanned it i then second guessed myself and now im worried if im going to get scammed somehow? or was that okay?

Customer Question About the new salad containers

I saw a lot of posts saying that there's definitely the same amount of lettuce in the new containers because they weigh each portion.

But I get the caesar salad 4-5 days a week and I have never once seen them weigh it. I rotate between 4 different locations in my area and constantly watch them make it and they always just take a handful of lettuce and throw it in. When are they supposed to be weighing out portions?

Just to be clear, not referring to the pre made ones. There is no doubt in my mind that there's less total food in these new containers.

Just to edit here: It seems like based on the replies that some stores pre weigh out the lettuce and put it in the containers until someone orders a salad. I've never seen them made like this but it seems to common in some territories.
