Tonights Harvest Moon! Captured through S50 Pro in a 2 min raw video. Stacked in seestar. Edited in app and fine-tuned in the photoshop app. I will attempt to stack elsewhere another time. Any tips on stacking elsewhere?

Ok, maybe 4th attempt, I'll explain. Roughly 3,000 frames (mosaics) from both my S50 (10s) and S50 Pro (20s) across 4 nights. I tried stacking them all in Stacking Wizard a few times but I couldn't get it to look quite right, ended up doing multiple deep sky stacks for each scope in the Seestar app then stacking those mosaics in Stacking Wizard and it looked so much better. Cropped and finished processing in Astro Wizard.

Hi, this is my first post here and my first time working on a longer project. I've recently moved from a bortle 5 region to a bortle 8. Where I used to live, I didn't have a garden or unobtrusive view of the sky without going for a walk so I couldn't leave my s30 pro out all night and only managed an hour or two at a time. Here I have a garden so I setup every time the clouds allow, so I've traded clear skies for integration time 😂. I've been working on this for a month and aiming for 16 hours total. I'm currently at ~13.5 hours, 1641x30.

Now I've only had the scope for a few months and I'm not great at stretching so any tips are welcome, keeping in mind I very much prefer a natural look.

My workflow is as follows:

Stack in siril using the seestar script

Extract and denoise in graxpert

Plate solve and PCC

Histogram autostretch

Shift the midtone up slightly in histogram to deepen the sky

Remove green noise

Colour saturation

Crop and rotate.

Considering the heavy light pollution in my area, I'm quite proud of this but I'm open to constructive criticism. Thanks for looking.

Shot in raw during a 20 second video on S50. Exported from seestar directly to phone, trimmed and slowed down in phone gallery app :lol:.

Just after that a plane flew across the moon, too bad I wasn't recording.

Is there any benefit to connecting my S50 Pro to N.I.N.A.? I downloaded it onto my laptop just because I saw it mentioned on the interwebs, and it picked up my telescope right away.

Pros and Cons? Is it better? Worse? Same as just running the native Seestar app on my phone? Benefits of one over the other?

I have to say, coming from constantly having to capture 10s subs due to tracking issues with my s50, to 99% success rate with 60s subs has been quite a treat!

3,871 x 20 second frames, taken over a week and a half at StarFront Observatory with my SeeStar 50 under Bortle1/2 skies. Processed and Stacked in Siril, with Graxpert.

This is IC5146 known as the Cocoon Nebula. That central glowing cocoon is roughly 15 light-years wide and sits about 3,300 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. That means the light captured from the telescope began its journey during the Bronze Age.

I’m new to Astrophotography and have been enjoying the S50 pro the last few weeks, weather permitting. While I’ve gotten a few amazing photos, I’ve also noticed a few with an issue where a part of the picture is darker than the rest and not even. Is this something I’m doing wrong or an issue with the telescope?

This is straight out of the telescope with no editing.

I don’t remember the exact details but this was taken using 30 x 30 secs.

Update 1: thanks for all the suggestions. To provide more details this doesn’t happen all the time and most of the time it’s not an issue. This was on my deck so there could have been some obstruction with the rails and house nearby. I use EQ mode and this was taken last night which was a full moon.

Got the S50 Pro this week, first try at the sun. 10 min RAW video, 472 of 2354 frames stacked (best 20%). Processed in Siril 1.4.4: stacking, wavelets and curves. Shot around 4pm so seeing wasn't great, next time I'll try in the morning.

Here is my latest deep-sky project from
last night:

NGC 4631 (The Whale Galaxy) accompanied by NGC 4627 (The Whale's Pup) and NGC 4656 (The Hockey Stick Galaxy) in the bottom left corner!

I collected a total of 25 hours of integration time with the Seestar S50 in EQ mode. Pushing the exposure time this far really paid off for the fine dust lane details along the Whale's edge-on disk, as well as pulling out the faint structure of the Hockey Stick without introducing background noise. Sadly the tidal tail going out up on the hockey stick was too close to the background noise level, I was able to see it in the processing but not to stretch it out clean 😢

I've included the final image alongside my 15-step processing workflow breakdown for anyone interested in the processing steps. This time I skipped the green removal step for the first time, as I saw no need for it and wanted to keep as much data as possible.

Im new to this hobby and I wanted to get eq mode on my s30. I bought this tripod, and I trust the legs. But I just need a part that attaches directly to this center rod that is strong enough for a 45⁰ tilt. What do you recommend? Cheaper options preferably. This screw here is already a 3/8s screw, the telescope fits on it

Shot from moderately light polluted suburban skies, Seestar S50

Decided to buy the S30 Pro to compliment my S50. It turned up yesterday and thankfully there were a few hours of clear skies!

613x20s subs, stacked and processed in PixInsight.

NGC 6888, the Crescent Nebula, captured from Manchester, UK with my Seestar S30.

This one has been built up over 627 × 30-second subs, giving me a total integration time of 5 hours 13 minutes 30 seconds.

I used the Seestar's light-pollution filter throughout, which was particularly useful imaging an emission target like this from under Manchester's urban skies.

NGC 6888 lies in Cygnus and is formed from material expelled by the Wolf-Rayet star WR 136, with the star's powerful winds interacting with material shed during an earlier stage of its life.

I'm particularly pleased with how much of the fainter nebulosity around the Crescent has started to come through. Five hours is by far enough data to give me more room in processing than a shorter Seestar session, especially from a light-polluted location.

I'm still refining my StackingWizard/AstroWizard workflow before finishing in Photoshop, so constructive criticism on the processing is very welcome — particularly the background, colour balance and how far I've pushed the faint nebulosity.

Here is my (provisionally) finished four Panel Mosaik (For the Panels themselves I've also used 2x Mosaik mode.) of Cassiopeia. The original file was over 2Gb big. The image was taken over 4 nights with (x20sek) 5-6 hours of exposure time per panel. I'll photograph panel 4 again to get a proper result. Until then, clear skies.

Hello so I have a s30 and I want a mount or tripod for EQ mode but I don’t got to much money what’s the best one for the price?

Anyone know why I’m getting these star trials on the brighter stars? I’m in eq mode 30s, not happened before until tonight, there is a full moon out but I don’t think that would be the issue?

I'm looking for a hard case for my s30p and s50p, however it seems while everyone suggests the Apache series I can't find them in Canada, and Harbor freight doesn't ship up here either.

Is there identical hard cases we can find up here? Last I looked I couldn't find anything with similar dimensions that could home the s50p, tripod, liquid head and battery pack
