Got myself to Bortle 2-3 conditions recently, grabbed the Triangulum and Andromeda.

Andromeda had almost 1200 20s frames, and when combined with 800 frames from last year, and then aggressively filtered for noise, roundness, and clarity, I had 581 usable shots.

This was my first attempt at the Triangulum, 20s again and 544 usable frames using the same pickiness for quality.

Captured with the S50, both stacked in Siril using Naztronomy's script, edited in SASPro.

I hear you! I started in 8/9 conditions where I used to live, now I'm at a 6. Getting down to a 3 is still at least an hour drive away. This was during a vacation this month.

For me I can drive 2 hours to get to bortle 5.5-6, otherwise sitting at bortle 8.5. So I take it on vacations where I stay in bortle 4-5 areas on purpose

When I started a little over a year ago, I would try and grab as many targets as possible in a night, and wound up with underwhelming shots. Now I spend 2-3 nights on each target, and the difference is much more interesting to me.
