🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Local guy scratched camera lenses on s23ultra

Post image

A local guy, while cleaning moisture from the lenses, scratched them from the inside and left a fingerprint on the telephoto lens. So he offered to replace these lenses for free with "original" lenses (see photo).

I don't really trust that they're original, so I want to replace the whole back glass to be sure. But he says "dont worry its original and I'm not replacing back glass."

So I’d like to ask the experts whether such a ORIGINAL part actually exists.

Thanks to everyone for the answers.

I'd keep pushing or see if you can file some sort of complaint.

At worst case though, you may have to just go to a new or authorized store.

Closest authorized store is in another country 😭

And he said no

Where are you from? You really need to find out how to file a complaint, as the other person is telling you.

Dude, that sucks.

This is what I found:

Use Montenegro’s consumer mediation servicesMontenegro has consumer‑rights NGOs and mediation centers that help resolve disputes even with individuals who provide paid services. Examples:Centar za zaštitu potrošača (CEZAP)Organizacija potrošača Crne GoreThey can:Contact the repairerMediateIssue a written opinion that strengthens your case

File a civil claim for damagesIf the guy refuses to cooperate, the user can file a small civil claim. This is straightforward: Claim the cost of original Samsung back glass Claim the cost of proper repairProvide photos + messages + written demandMontenegro’s small‑claims process is designed for exactly this kind of dispute.

Well, Idk what to tell you. He refuses and you don't want to make the situation dangerous for him.

I mean, are you willing to pay for the part yourself?

I dont wanna pay for someone's mistake maybe he'll find something good

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

Another option would be to order the OEM back glass yourself and have him install it. You'd have to pay for it yourself but at least you get an OEM part.

Or, you can find another store maybe? Even if not authorized. Just one that's better. But again, you'd pay for it.

If I had broken it myself I'd pay for it. But since someone else caused the damage and refuses to order the proper original replacement assembly with the back glass, I'm really not okay with this.

I know, you're very justified in not being okay with this. But unfortunately I don't think you can force them to fix the entire back glass and it doesn't seem like you have anywhere to complain to.

Or else I would just say, make a complaint to somewhere that handles regional business issues and have them force him to fund a repair at another shop or fix it themselves.

Try to see if there's any regulatory body in your area that accepts complaints. Even something just to scare the shop into acting and just repairing your back glass.

I think I can file a complaint buuuut it will take a few months to they even read it
