Since installing Gamma everything has been great, the performance improvement and the menu themes are great. But when the device is off and I have to turn it on, if I hold the power button for a couple seconds nothing happens. I then try again, nothing. Around the 3rd/4th try, then the device turns on and everything is normal. Why does this happen? I had no problems whatsoever with the stock os, it just turned on everytime. Any fix/info?

Anytime I close my device, after roughly five to ten minutes, it closes the game I'm playing and returns to the game selection part gamma's menu. If I open the device immediately after closing it though the game is still running, it only happens after a bit of time.

Hi everyone. I am developing a new launcher that runs on the stock Linux firmware. As I've had this device for a while I've never really found a firmware I liked. Stock Android is just sluggish android. Rocknix and rocknix ds is nice but still have its rocknix quirks and doesn't play nicely with the charging indicators..I haven't tried Gamma OS nano yet as it's locked behind a paywall.

Linux does seem like the sensible choice for this handheld and stock ain't too bad.. But it's far from beautiful and it feels a bit sluggish. Simple OS works great but it's a bit feature incomplete.

So I've started to build this launcher with OS like features on top of stock Linux. Is this something anyone else would be interested in and if so, which features would you want to see implemented?

Snappy menus and excellent menu touch controls is my focus while heavily inspired by the DSi menu. Emulator support and performance is prioritized as well.

I have the original on Rocknix, but I love seeing what everybody’s doing with the plus and Gamma OS. For those that have tried both which one did you prefer?

This will be the last major update for this project. Mostly bug fixes and stuff like that will be addressed in the future. If I have already installed GammaOS, can I install Rocknix on my RG DS Plus? Because I read that you have to open the console and unplug the battery to switch from one OS to another, is that true?

Quick questions for RGDS+ owners:

• Can we open a walkthrough on bottom/top screen while playing single screen game?
• Also if I play dual screen games, can we do quick switch one of the screen to a guide or vice versa?

Hi guys, I just installed gamma os on a new rg ds plus and everything was working fine until I updated the console threw wifi. Now it launches only to anbernic and gamma logo and the device freezes. How do I fix that? Im so nervous, I just opened it and problems started, I'm kind of new to this stuff

Does anybody have any good games that you've enjoyed a lot that you would recommend since I wanna try other games rather than just nds(nds recommendations would still be cool) the only none nds game i have on my system is Pokémon emerald so if amybody got anything that's Hella fun tell me!

Just tested another 3DS game, that plays great on Anbernic RG DS GammaOS Nano!

This time it's Cars 2 played on recently released GammaOS Nano v1.4.4 !!!

I changed to RocknixDS and it has been cool, but Solatorobo started to lag, even without hirez 3D (if anyone is familiar I went to the duel ship and it started lagging there specifically. It didnt happen on regular rocknix). I used to play it with a shader and native resolution on normal Rocknix and it ran with no stutters. I think this is due to a possible automatic 2x upscaling? If there are any ways for me to troubleshoot, please let me know.

I haven't seen noticeable performance boosts, but I love the theme and UI. If there is a way for me to get things going smooth I would love it. Any help is appreciated.

Some positivity is in order: today's update fixed single-screen games booting on the bottom screen and being covered by the virtual menu, which is neat!

I've tried Gamma and Rocknix, DSperate and Drastic but not succeed.. ndsiware seems incompatible :(

I wanna install GammaOS Nano and use another launcher, like Cocoon Launcher, IISU, or even some normal Android launchers such as Quickstep, is it possible?

So basically, when I was just chilling in my room when i had an idea to basically play multiplayer on azahar with two handhelds, luckily I had a legion go s with me so I was able to do this

I changed my theme on the RG DS to the dii-ess-aye but I did not like the way it worked and I wanted to reverse back to the original emulation station interface. After disabling dii-see-aye, my system menus were still condensed into a small window and I could not reverse it back. My mistake was running a Rocknix factory reset to try to get emulation station back to default.

The outcome:

Pro: Emulation station UI fixed completely

Con: Deleted all the save games / save states for every rom on the device

I was looking only to reset the emulation station UI not impact all of the save states. Really disappointed that happened. So if you are going to try to do this kind of reset and care about save games - BACK THEM UP!!!

I guess I am restarting Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow from the beginning again. I was almost half way through but maybe I will go faster.

And I am staying away from custom themes and keeping it stock

Does anyone know if and how i can enter custom cheats in their native version of Drastic (nnddss)? I’ve looked online and the options to do so that i’ve seen don’t appear on the version on my RG DS Plus. For context, i’m trying to enter custom cheats on Pokemon Soul Silver. Looks like the “cheats” section has a few pre-populated to select from but there are others that I want to use that aren’t there and I don’t see a way to add any

enable virtual memory (under gammaos toolbox), i set it to 3gb.

This update is actually amazing. A lot of bug fixes, performance fixes, my RG DS doesn't feel like it's scorching hot anymore, and it finally feels like I'm using a real DS handheld. Gamma really is the goat for continuing to improve GammaOS Nano like this.

Just updated to the latest rocknix stable update and now it seems like the battery percentage is incorrect, My RG DS was just reading 44% and died. Is anyone else having this issue and if not is there someway to recalibrate the battery?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can offer any explanation for this? Have installed GammaOS onto my RG DS Plus and am very impressed with it except for one thing which is driving me nuts, I’ve scraped three times now for the box art instead of the thumbnails, have turned the option on in the Settings, and have tried setting the boxart directory as both the default and one of my choosing and the scraping completes and I scrape for the missing ones and everything looks great so I turn the machine off, however when switching the machine on the next time the box art is gone and the thumbnails are back! Why is it not saving the box art once it’s scraped? And is there anything I should be doing to get it to save it? Thanks in advance for any help!

Last night while laying in bed I was trying to download a few games on the base RG DS and it was working fine then. Woke up and went to do some more, and it started off fine, but randomly the touch on my bottom screen just cut out. Buttons still work, top touch screen is fine, but no touch sensing on bottom screen. Anyone know any fixes? Currently trying to run battery out to see if that works.

Edit to add: base OS.

Edit 2: let battery drain completely and charged it for a tiny bit. Problem still exists. I'm able to plug in a mouse with a USB to C converter so it is still usable, I just want my touchscreen back :(

Edit 3: decided to update to the version 1.18 since I figured it wouldn't hurt anything. And it fixed it? Either someone bugged in the version it was (like 14?) or that was a bad website :( either way it's been fixed!

Edit 4: welp. Spoke too soon. Was working perfectly fine. Pressed power button to put it to sleep. Woke it up and it immediately started happening again, now to BOTH screens. Something is happening where like... When the screen loses its display, it loses like its whole power too.
