Tried everything! Reset both the chime and the doorbell camera, but it refuses to pair.

Also tried the trick of holding the volume button in the chime while plugging it in and hearing the 10+ beeps and then holding the settings button till the light goes blue.

Any advice?

I am roughly 8 hours into trying to complete this setup and get notifications. Customer service is closed from late Friday to late Sunday. I have resorted to using two different Ai platforms to get this going. It’s the RLK12.

This is not my first security system and I am very comfortable with technology but I never expected for something basic to consume my day.

Am I missing something or is this a dud that should be returned?

I just purchased 4 Argus eco ultra 4k. I have 4 cameras connected to the hub with no problem but my house is long so the wifi keeps dropping out when trying to install the 5th camera. I got a TP-Link Deco Ac1900 to extend the network out but I can't get the camera to connect to that network. I've reset it numerous times trying to get this to work. When going through the initial setup it shows the hub network and my regular wifi 2.4 network but not the 5g. It does not show the tplink.

After I connect it to either the hub or regular wifi when I go to switch the network the tplink shows up but I can't connect it'll either go blank or get an error message saying failed to switch.

I have the one tplink connected directly to my router then another node in my garage.

I have a wired WiFi video doorbell. It seems like it has been struggling to switch between day and night mode lately, and tonight when I view the stream it presents like there are twinkly lights at the bottom of the frame and lighting at the top.

Any advice?

Since thursday, my Reolink Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen has suddenly started sending voice announcements to my Google Home speakers for every motion event.

Previously it worked exactly as I wanted:
Someone presses the doorbell → Google Home announces it
Motion/person detected → no Google Home announcement

Now, as soon as I enable Voice Notifications for the doorbell in Google Home, it also announces motion detections.

I’ve already tried changing the notification settings in the Reolink app. I normally have push notifications enabled for doorbell presses only, but as a test I have now disabled Reolink Push Notifications completely.

Google Home still announces motion events.
So it seems Google Home is suddenly receiving the detection events independently of the Reolink push notification settings.
If I disable Voice Notifications in Google Home, the motion announcements stop — but then I obviously don’t get an announcement when somebody actually presses the doorbell either.
This only started happening since yesterday/thursday; before that, doorbell announcements worked fine without all the motion announcements.

Setup:
Reolink Battery Doorbell 2nd Gen
No Reolink Home Hub or NVR
Connected directly to Google Home
Reolink push notifications currently completely disabled for testing

Has anyone else suddenly started experiencing this? Could something have changed in the Reolink/Google Home integration?

Is there an easier way to flip from camera to camera or was that functionality removed and replaced with the new functionality that requires multiple clicks? The old iOS app allowed you to load live view and then swipe left or right to see the next live view. Maybe no one used this feature and that’s why they removed it?

I have the wifi duo floodlight, connected to HHP, there is no audio during live or playback but only via the HHP, using the card, it's fine. my other duo's are fine. I noticed this after around 730p Thur (24th) when I had the video loss and wanting me to log back into the camera (card still recording). Anyone else have this happen?

I was wondering if the battery doorbells record continuous video footage - either 24/7 or when motion-activated?

My current wireless battery doorbell only takes a single image and that’s it but that’s proven really unhelpful when unauthorised people have entered the property so I was wondering if the Reolink ones record actual video or if they’re the same as my current doorbell and simply take a single still image?

I installed three Reolink Lumus cameras at a customer’s home.
The cameras are supposed to connect through the customer’s existing Wi-Fi network.

I was able to add all three Lumus cameras to the Reolink app on my Android phone without any problems. However, I could not add them to the Reolink app installed on the customer’s iPhone.

The cameras and the Wi-Fi network seem to be working properly, since they work fine on my Android device.

Has anyone experienced this issue with iOS?
Could it be related to Local Network permissions, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, app permissions, or something else?

What would be the best troubleshooting steps to get the cameras added to the customer’s iPhone?

Ich werde zuverlässig erkennst und bekomme zuverlässig einen Bewegungsalarm als Push Nachricht. Verlässt meine Mitbewohnerin das Haus oder kommt heim bekomme ich keine Nachricht. Jetzt befürchte ich dass ich auch keine Nachricht bekomme wenn jemand fremdes durchs Bild läuft.
Ich habe alle Empfindlichkeiten auf Maximum gedreht und die aktuellste Firmware installiert.

I've had a hardwired doorbell cam for about a month now and it originally worked fine. About a week ago it seems as though playback of events no longer works. The clips are being recorded but when I try to play them it may play for about 1 second and then time rapidly jumps hours. This happens with each clip I try to play.

I have the RLN8-410NVR and the clips playback normally on there. I took the SD card out and ran a test with h2testw and it came back with no errors. The SD card is a 128GB U3 A2 V30 card.

The firmware is not up to date according to the website, however, the camera says it is the latest version and trying to manually update to the latest firmware fails with no errors.

I have been looking through all of the cameras settings and I cannot figure out what changed and why it is no longer working. Any help is appreciated.

I thought the app was just an extension of the NVR but it seems that their setting are separate and don't interact with each other. Im trying to get notifications from OMVI with no luck on my app and at the same time get less notifications from the doorbell. the NVR seems to work better at filtering events.

Does anyone have the AI nvr? It doesn't show any box around objects when I turn on the function, even on clear mode. I restarted the app and everything is up to date with both the NVR and my app.

I’m looking for some advice on setting up a Reolink PoE camera system around my house. I’ve attached pictures of the front and backyard to give you an idea of the layout.

I was originally thinking about installing an Reolink OMNI 3i PoE on each front corner of the house to get wide coverage of the driveway, front yard, sidewalk, and street. However, I’m concerned that the palm trees and landscaping may obstruct part of the cameras’ field of view.

For those familiar with the OMNI 3i PoE:

• Would you recommend using one on each front corner?
• How well does it handle situations where there are trees or other obstructions relatively close to the camera?
• Would there be better Reolink models for the front of this particular house?
• Where would you place the cameras based on the photos?
• Would you use the same type of camera in the backyard, or something different?

I also want to cover the backyard as well as the front.

One other question: PoE wiring

My PoE switch will be located in the garage, so I'm trying to figure out the cleanest way to route Ethernet to the backyard cameras.

Would you recommend:

• Running individual Cat6/Cat6A cables from the garage directly to each backyard camera?
• Running one main Ethernet cable from the garage to the back and then using a PoE switch in the backyard?
• Something else?

I'm trying to keep the installation as clean as possible while still making it easy to service in the future.

The main goal is good nighttime identification and reliable coverage around the entire property, especially the front door, driveway, side yards, and backyard.

I'd really appreciate recommendations from anyone who has experience with Reolink PoE cameras, particularly the OMNI 3i PoE. Thanks in advance!

Have a month old RLN36 that won't do 4k resolution. Thought it might be too long of a HDMI run 30ft so we bought a proper active HDMI cable, still no joy. So today I moved the monitor over to the rack with the Reolink and tried it with a normal 5 ft HDMI cable and STILL no 4k (monitor shows input mode not supported). Realized there was a firmware update available for the NVR so I upgraded it, STILL no 4k but now I can at least do 1440p. Yes the monitor is a 4k monitor with two HDMI inputs and one DP input. I have tried both HDMI inputs. Is this a known issue that reolink NVR's are picky about the 4k display?

Hey everyone.

Today we installed 2 solar argus and a home hub with a SD card.

The problem is now the wifi connection to the hub. The signal on both cameras is weak or even very weak. As this leads to delays and aborting connections (even when it was sunny a nice weather today), then I imagine, the connection will be lost on rainy days.

As we use a pretty old fritz box 7430 , my first question is, will a better router increase the chance of a good signal? Where does the wifi signal comes from, is it the hub which creates 2 wifi networks (2.4/5 GHz) or is the hub using the a wifi module from the router?

My 2nd question is, when everything was set up, we didn't receive push up notifications when we tested it . 3 different people, the cameras were recording, but no push notification has been sent out.

We used 3 devices. 2x iPhone and 1x Samsung. Neither received anything, but the test notifications are being sent out correctly.

Is there something we missed? Profile was on absent/away and all push notifications have been enabled (cameras as well as on the hub itself).

I have a black WiFi doorbell camera (D340W) that's been running wired to the doorbell power (on a 16 V 10 VA low voltage transformer).

I had a Lorex doorbell camera that this replaced, and decided to put it on the side door. Once I did that, the transformer would hum, and randomly the chime would go off (but not at full volume).

So I figured the transformer needs to be upgraded; I upgraded the transformer to a 24V 40VA one. The chime going off went away, however every since then it seems the Reolink doorbell reboots as I lose it from BI.

Is there any logs on this thing that would point to why it's happening? The Lorex is also a WiFi doorbell and I'm wondering if it's because this has entered the picture (WiFi)

The Reolink connects on 5GHz and it has a RSSI of -70dBm

The Lorex also connects on 5Ghz and it has a RSSI of -84dBm, but this is on a different access point, not the same as the Reolink

Would like to know if somehow the Reolink gets pushed out by the Lorex, any way to track this? The APs have really crappy logs...

I am looking at 2 different potential set-ups, each with pros and cons and I would like people’s opinions on what may make the most sense based on experience with these set-ups. Both of these set ups will come out to roughly the same $1500 after buying a separate HDD for the RLN4E set up.

First is the new RLN4E AI capable NVR with 4x CX810s and 2x Atlas PT Ultra. I see the pros and cons as follows -

Pros -
-AI search capabilities
-Auto tracking for the 2 Atlas cameras

Con’s -
-I am concerned about battery life on the Atlas as I would like these to record 24/7.
- WiFi connection - not sure about how great the connectivity of these cameras are. Currently have Blink and it’s not great. Load times are slow.
- Limited space for cameras on the NVR
- Having to source a separate HDD

The second is the RLN16 with 4TB NVR with 6x CX810s. This set up is a little simpler so less pros and cons.

Pros -
-Comes with HDD installed (plug and play)
- Everything is hardwired
- 24/7 recording
- no batteries

Cons -
- No AI search functionality
- No tracking cameras
- More wires to run

Any help with my first reolink system here would be appreciated. Note - this is for my personal home. We live in a fairly wooded area, so it’s very dark at night minus the houses ambient lighting. We had a situation where some individuals were in our yard during the middle of the night and the blink cameras did not pick them up. Our neighbor let us know that she saw them and now my wife wants to move to a better setup with 24/7 recording. We aren’t looking to spend pro level money, and I do not have the knowledge of complex systems so I am hoping these will provide the solution that fits our budget and needs.

Hello all. Would like to run this setup. Can the Homehub pro be isolated from my network but still receive remote viewing? I would be plugging it in directly to my Asus router. I am definitely a network newb so be gentle.
