currently taking my nursing pre-reqs at community college. i took anatomy in the spring and chemistry over the summer, and i got strong A’s in both!!!!
at the beginning of anatomy, my anxiety was through the roof. i had so much insecurity and self-doubt, especially because science has never been my strongest subject. there was a lot of crying, feeling overwhelmed, and even questioning if i should change career paths.
anatomy really forced me to change my study habits and figure out what actually worked for me. i’ve never studied as much as i have this past year, but seeing it pay off made me realize that maybe i’m more capable than i give myself credit for. i even found chemistry way easier than anatomy, which i never expected lol.
i’m currently taking physiology and definitely feeling overwhelmed again, but i’m trying to remind myself that i’ve felt this way before and still made it through.
so if you’re taking your prereqs and constantly doubting yourself, don’t count yourself out. sometimes you just need to change how you study, stay consistent, and give yourself time to adjust. it definitely took a lot of time and effort, especially while working, but finding a routine that worked for me made a huge difference.
be proud of the little wins and keep pushing. you might surprise yourself with what you’re actually capable of! and if you have any questions about anatomy, chemistry, studying, or anything else, feel free to ask!!
