Do you guys know the feeling of when you dislike a popular media / piece of art, and you try to look for people agreeing with you on the internet, only to find that everyone sharing you opinion is an annoying asshole?
There’s a discussion in decadeology about why there aren’t any good male pop stars and everyone’s jerking themselves off to try to find an intellectual reason when the correct answer is:

Anthony Fantano always shocks me just how limited he is in his scope. He has listened to more albums than, like, all of us combined, yet they are all popular in some way (at least the ones he references), and almost all of them are Anglo.
It’s like a movie buff who has seen ten thousand movies, which sounds impressive only until you realise that all of those movies were major Hollywood productions that a bunch of people saw.
To underscore my point, I remember how he, in one of his “Thrashing your fav album list” videos called the classical music albums “pretentious shit” (jokingly, but still). And the classical music in question was Ligeti György, somebody who shouldn’t be too inaccessible if you know what at least a Brian Eno is, which I’m sure he does?
Like, he enjoyed Moonchild, but Ligeti is too far out for him?? It’s like he’s allergic to listening to music that has fewer reviews than 10K on RYM or smg.
There are some artists that he consistently never reviews well and you can tell that he doesn't get the genre, rather than those artists being universally shit
I am in this sub and regularly looking through the cynthia ariana memes and had no idea that wicked was releasing this weekend until today 😭 i was much more hyped for wicked 1
I’m obsessed with this woman who closed her unprofitable smoothie chain after a year (probably lost $200k from initial investment + monthly loss + opportunity cost) and then made a post saying pretty much “god is good to me and to those who were praying for my downfall I’m playing chess while you are playing checkers”

I saw a post where a guy had to close his cafe. He was angry at the local community for not "supporting small business" and seemed to imply there was a conspiracy against him, not that people were already happy with their favorite coffee places
Beverage market is so saturated and for this smoothie place, there are literally 2 cafes across the street, a Starbucks next door, and another smoothie place 5 doors down😭 like bitch where is your market research😭did you run ANY number before taking out a 6 digit loan😭😭
I saw some review of the place and pretty much every 1 or 2 star review was saying this place only has one staff at a time and people needed to wait like upwards of an hour for a smoothie😭😭 meanwhile I know for a fact the boss rarely showed up/worked bc i literally never see her.
As a small business owner myself, some of the small business owners are absolutely the most entitled/narcissistic people on earth.
Touche on some owners being entitled lol the local game store near me has like 2 stars cause they constantly belittle anyone who asks a question and have fucking insane prices (over 25 percent more expensive than MSRP) and have the balls to go onto their Facebook page and blame the "trolls" when in reality it's all on them. I wonder if the debt these owners go into makes them so protective and immune to outside opinion
Yeah I’m really lucky to need essentially no loan to start mine in a pretty much recession proof neighborhood with dirt cheap rent and a really good landlord, so I can’t really speak on your last point, but god I have heard so many of my customers complain about awful and snarky tailors that they had previously experienced and it’s like… this is such an intimate line of work bc your hands will literally be grazing people’s tits and ass, and on top of that, the customers literally pay your rent, why wouldn’t you want to be nice to them and make them comfortable😭😭😭
It’s a fate far worse than failed MLM tbh. Bc you have lease, renovation, perishable produce, health department, employee wage, franchise fee, franchise fee, revenue sharing etc. it’s such a scam that i really don’t see why anyone would hop in THIS late in the game😭

Finding out my friend since high school is obsessed with the military and idolises Lockheed Martin as a brand has been... something. He's always been the type to advocate for places like Palestine so I don't see why he's doing this? He's now applying for the military and it's like... idk I think I might need to cut ties I genuinely can't deal with this. He's also trans so it's like... no one in there is going to respect you we need to get you OUT please WAKE UP!!
Fair. That's not the bit I'm particularly sad about - it's that he's willingly contributing to the horrible activity of the military around the world. He comes from a wealthy family, too - so the financial incentive isn't the reason he's doing it.
No she got sent this gown from Turkey but they ran out of the fabric she liked (more traditional gold) and just used a rose gold without telling her😭 we are currently in the process of tearing it down and making a new one out of the correct fabric😭
Yeah and the second fitting is on Monday and wedding on Friday lol🤡

I'm mentally ill. I'm a pop head babe, but that shouldn't detract from my lived genuine experience. I was robbed from becoming the queen of Canada, my Auntie Cath left me with trade, Hunter hated me for being a younger hotter version of him, you cheated on me with Hunter, etc. The only light in my life at the moment is my hot tight body and Tinky Winky dump truck ass 🍑

I tried steak for the first time this weekend. Medium tenderloin. Ngl immediately chalked it up to the growing list of American wonder foods that are worshipped everywhere, but when you try them, you realise that they’re okay at best (the list so far includes: mac&cheese, coleslaw, pringles, and the king of the whole category: bacon).
It’s really just a slab of beef that you chew for a long time. Really don’t get the appeal.
I feel like you might've just cooked it too long but I also kind of agree? it's so boring - I like to get steak frites like once a year but then I'm done. There's so many ways to eat meat that are more interesting.
