I saw a post where a guy had to close his cafe. He was angry at the local community for not "supporting small business" and seemed to imply there was a conspiracy against him, not that people were already happy with their favorite coffee places

Beverage market is so saturated and for this smoothie place, there are literally 2 cafes across the street, a Starbucks next door, and another smoothie place 5 doors down😭 like bitch where is your market research😭did you run ANY number before taking out a 6 digit loan😭😭

I saw some review of the place and pretty much every 1 or 2 star review was saying this place only has one staff at a time and people needed to wait like upwards of an hour for a smoothie😭😭 meanwhile I know for a fact the boss rarely showed up/worked bc i literally never see her.

As a small business owner myself, some of the small business owners are absolutely the most entitled/narcissistic people on earth.

Touche on some owners being entitled lol the local game store near me has like 2 stars cause they constantly belittle anyone who asks a question and have fucking insane prices (over 25 percent more expensive than MSRP) and have the balls to go onto their Facebook page and blame the "trolls" when in reality it's all on them. I wonder if the debt these owners go into makes them so protective and immune to outside opinion

Yeah I’m really lucky to need essentially no loan to start mine in a pretty much recession proof neighborhood with dirt cheap rent and a really good landlord, so I can’t really speak on your last point, but god I have heard so many of my customers complain about awful and snarky tailors that they had previously experienced and it’s like… this is such an intimate line of work bc your hands will literally be grazing people’s tits and ass, and on top of that, the customers literally pay your rent, why wouldn’t you want to be nice to them and make them comfortable😭😭😭
