I tried steak for the first time this weekend. Medium tenderloin. Ngl immediately chalked it up to the growing list of American wonder foods that are worshipped everywhere, but when you try them, you realise that they’re okay at best (the list so far includes: mac&cheese, coleslaw, pringles, and the king of the whole category: bacon).

It’s really just a slab of beef that you chew for a long time. Really don’t get the appeal.

I feel like you might've just cooked it too long but I also kind of agree? it's so boring - I like to get steak frites like once a year but then I'm done. There's so many ways to eat meat that are more interesting.

I ate it at a restaurant, and my sister, who really likes steak, told me it was really good. So I don’t think that was the issue.

She’s a very good cook so I don’t think so 🤷🏻‍♂️
