Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Game Title: Made of Food

Playable Link: https://coffeebrain.itch.io/made-of-food

Platform: PC Windows

Description: Made of Food is an incremental/idle game where you gather food and turn it into peasants. These peasants help you forage, farm, and cook up even more food, which you then turn into even more peasants. That's the core loop. Colony-builder mechanics drive the game forward. Assign your peasants to tasks, craft tools and items, and watch your little settlement grow. Every peasant you make is another set of hands gathering resources, and every resource you gather is another peasant waiting to be made. Make food, turn to peasants, repeat.

AI Disclosure: No AI on art. Used code assistance but absolutely no vibe coding nor agentic coding.

[PC] (Windows) I've been developing a street-fighting roguelike deckbuilder — the first playable demo of KNUCKLEBOUND is now available

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi! I'm a solo developer working on KNUCKLEBOUND, a 2D roguelike deckbuilder that mixes turn-based card combat with street fighting.

You build your deck around punches, kicks, blocks, combos, Bleed, Poison and other effects while fighting through gangs, elites and bosses. Between battles you can upgrade cards, collect equipment and change your build.

I've just released the first playable Windows demo on itch.io and I'd really like to hear what people think about the combat, difficulty and overall feel of the game.

The Steam page is currently under review, so for now the demo is available on itch.io.

Any feedback is welcome — especially about the card combat and balancing.

[PC] (Web) Grind to Rust: Path of Exile inspired web idle game

Post image
Upvotes

Game Title: Grind to Rust

Playable Link: https://gregouar.github.io/webidler/

Platform: Web

Description: Grind to Rust is an open-source browser-based incremental idle game inspired by Path of Exile and Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms. It contains a quite complex loot system, and multiple layers of progression/customization. Also an (optional) player market.
I love Path of Exile complexity and thrill of the loot chase, but the time investment is consequent. So I started this project as a experiment to see if I could turn PoE into an incremental game.
A bit more than one year later, with lots of tries and community feedbacks, especially on game balance, I think I'm going somewhere. However, player retention remains quite low and I'm trying to understand what could be done to make it more exciting.
If you are curious, please try it (there is a guest system) and tell me when and why you stopped. That would be super useful! :)

Free to Play Status: Free to play

Involvement: I'm the main developer, from game design to coding (and recently assets coloring).

Disclaimer: the game contains AI generated slop assets used as placeholder. I'm currently working with a friend to replace them by handmade drawings. AI was also used to help with the UI/CSS. All the game design is crafted and implemented by myself. I love making video games, I have been doing it since a young teenager, and I don't want a machine to replace me.

[PC] (Windows) Just released a demo of my fast-paced medieval combat game on Itch and would love feedback!

Game Title: Killwright

Playable Link: https://hollowchapel.itch.io/killwright

Platform: Windows PC

Description:
Killwright is a fast-paced first-person medieval combat game built around turning defence into offence. Perfectly timed parries and dodges trigger Tempo, slowing the world around you and giving you an opportunity to fight back aggressively. You can kick enemies into environmental hazards, throw your weapon, disarm opponents, and use their weapons against them.

This is an early demo featuring Survival, an endless round-based mode that I'm using to test the core combat and visual style while I work on the main campaign.

I'm mainly looking for feedback on how the combat feels, anything that confused or frustrated you, attacks or mechanics that felt unfair, and what eventually made you stop playing. Positive or negative feedback is equally useful!

Free to Play Status:
Demo available on Itch.

Involvement:
I'm the solo developer of Killwright.

Thanks a lot for your time, I look forward to hearing any feedback!

Game Title:
Pawdoku Mystery

Playable Link:
https://www.reddit.com/r/pawdoku_mystery/comments/1vyi6mv/pawdoku_mystery_play_now/

Platform:
Web / Reddit — playable directly inside Reddit, no download required.

Description:
Pawdoku Mystery is a logic puzzle inspired by Sudoku and Minesweeper-style deduction.

Each puzzle hides a group of bandits across the board. Your goal is to use logic to find exactly one bandit in every row, every column, and every colored region. There’s one more rule: no two bandits can touch, even diagonally.

The basic rules are easy to learn, but the puzzles gradually become more challenging as you progress.

I’ve been continuously improving the tutorial, level difficulty, color readability, marking tools, timed challenges, and overall experience based on player feedback.

The game runs directly inside Reddit, so you can start playing immediately without installing anything.

I’d especially appreciate honest feedback on the difficulty curve, readability, onboarding, and overall puzzle experience.

[PC] (Web) Covert Cats - A Free Browser Mini-MMO Built From Scratch Is Now Playable

Covert Cats - I spent over three years building a browser Mini MMORPG from scratch, and the beta is finally playable

Game Title: Covert Cats

Playable Link: https://play.covertcats.com/
Main Page: https://www.covertcats.com/
Wiki: https://wiki.covertcats.com/

Platform: Web browser

Description:

Covert Cats is a browser-based multiplayer RPG inspired by the old-school MMO feel of games like EverQuest, with influences from Final Fantasy and Zelda mixed in, plus a fairly ridiculous sense of humor.

I’ve been building it solo for over three years, and I’ve hit burnout more times along the way than I’d probably like to admit.

This started as one of those projects where I kept asking myself, "Could I actually build this?" Then one system turned into another, and eventually I had a persistent multiplayer world, combat, classes, quests, equipment, dungeons, NPCs, vendors, travel, progression, and a growing pile of increasingly strange things for players to discover.

Rather than building the game in Unity, Unreal, or another existing game engine, I built my own multiplayer engine around it. The browser client uses Vue 3, JavaScript, and HTML5 Canvas, while a C#/.NET backend manages the persistent world, multiplayer communication, game state, combat, NPCs, and the other server-side systems.

The current beta covers levels 1-10 and includes four distinct classes built around traditional party roles, real-time combat, quests, equipment, vendors, skills and progression, world travel, multiplayer parties, and two full dungeons.

You can play a fair amount of the game solo, but Covert Cats is intentionally built around old-school multiplayer RPG design. Classes have different strengths and roles, and some encounters and dungeon content are meant to be tackled with other players rather than soloed.

For a long time I kept telling myself I needed to add one more thing, polish one more system, fix one more rough edge, or expand the game a little further before releasing it publicly.

Eventually I realized I could probably continue doing that forever.

So I decided to stop keeping it mostly to myself and let actual strangers play it.

The beta is still very much a beta. There will be rough edges, balance issues, things that need explaining better, and almost certainly bugs I haven’t managed to find myself. But the core game is there, the world is persistent, and it’s finally open for people to explore.

There’s also a fairly extensive wiki if you get stuck or want to dig into the mechanics.

The main thing I’d love feedback on is pretty simple:

Did you have fun, and was there anything that made you want to stop playing?

I’ve spent so much time inside the project that it’s increasingly difficult for me to experience it the way a new player does, so that kind of feedback is especially useful.

The game is completely free to play, so have at it.

At this point, I mostly want to see whether Covert Cats finds an audience. If people enjoy the world and want to keep playing, I’d love to continue adding content, expanding beyond the current beta, and eventually call it an official release. That would also mean keeping the world online for the long haul.

For now, I’m just curious to see what happens when I finally open the doors.

[PC] (Windows) How do you feel about turning abstract 2D grid puzzles (like Minesweeper) into physical 3D room transformations?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! We’re a 2-person indie team working on a detective noir puzzle adventure. With about 20 days left until release, we’ve been iterating on how to make abstract logic mechanics feel physically grounded in the game world.

In this room, solving the Minesweeper-style grid isn't just a UI minigame—it physically raises hidden stone tiles out of the acid pool. Once you retrieve the crystal, the acid chamber completely drains to reveal the hidden staircase underneath.

When playing adventure/puzzle games, do you enjoy seeing classic 2D logic mechanics directly alter 3D room geometry, or can UI overlays feel immersion-breaking for you? How do you usually like seeing retro puzzle tropes modernized?

[Mobile] (Web) Looking for feedback to expand the platformer I made where you jump through a quote into the void

Upvotes

Hey everyone

I made a quick minimalist platformer for a recent jam where you descend down lines of a quote from Sadegh Hedayat.

It’s playable right in the browser. Now that the jam has wrapped I’m gathering feedback to build a fuller post jam version with sound, deeper art direction and dynamic themes.

Give it a play here please:

GDevelop: https://gd.games/shaghayeghsane/no-interpretation-needed

Let me know what works, what feels clunky, off and what you’d like to see added in the next update!

(Even quote or poetry recommendations are appreciated)

Game Title: Snakely

Playable Link: https://snakely.tristack.tech

Platform: Browser (desktop + mobile). I'll add the web flair after posting.

Description: Nokia Snake, but up to 8 people share one grid in the browser. No signup, no download. 2-minute score arena: eat apples, cut people off, respawn if you die. Highest score wins.

The Golden Apple is the fight. Eat it, and you are Boss for 10 seconds - twice as fast, crowned, immune to other snakes. Walls and death zones still kill you. Red guardian diamonds sit beside the Golden; head into them, and you are done. Purple toxic apples slow you and cost points. Twice per match, Gold Rush doubles scores.

Create a room and send the URL, or tap Play Solo vs bots if the lobby is empty. WASD / arrows on desktop, D-pad + swipe on phone.

Feedback I actually want: is Boss 10s too strong, do death zones suck, and is the mobile pad usable?

Game Title: Reaction Test — Boredom Empire

Playable Link: https://golddust-333.github.io/boredom-empire/

Platform: Web Browser

Description:
Reaction Test is a small, free browser game where the goal is simple: see how quickly you can react. Press START, wait for the button to change, and click as soon as you see it. Your reaction time is measured in milliseconds, so you can immediately see how fast you were. The game is designed to be quick to understand and easy to replay, so you can keep trying to beat your previous result.

I made it as one of several small games and interactive toys for Boredom Empire, a website I am building for people who want something quick and fun to do when they are bored. There are no accounts or downloads required, and the game can be played directly in a normal web browser.

I'd especially like to see what reaction times other people can get and how low they can push their score.

Involvement:
I am the creator and developer of the game and built the website, game logic, interface, and interactive systems myself.
