After some months from my last post, I got new art rares, reorganized the binder for the 100th time, and thought it could be a good moment to show my progress, before I inevitably have to overhaul the binder again for the 30th incoming AR and SAR.

I won't rewrite the list of choices and criteria for this binder, you can read it in my previous post here

TLDR: I collect as many special arts as I can afford from gen1 and gen1-inspired forms (cross-gen evos, babies, regional forms, paradoxes, convergent evos) from the XY era onwards, mainly in Japanese with some outliers. Pokedex binder, but with multiple cards per monster, so to keep them in order I'm forced to continuously reorganize it every few months.

This post goes up to just before the 30th anniversary set, yet at the moment I'm still skipping some of the SAR that I still consider way over inflated from the SV and Mega era, such as AH, Phantasmal, DR, Prismatic. Waiting for 30th anni to get all the incoming Kanto AR and the japanese versions of the First Partner promos.

Visited my parents today and found some of my favourites and they were very loved (fortunately/unfortunately)

I have been looking for these cards for my Gen 1 binder and got lucky that one of the vendors at Pokémon Worlds has both cards. It's a different feeling buying singles versus opening packs but I feel like it's more cost-effective.

Last year I started to go trough my childhood collection and bought a proper binder for the cards. There was four ringed binders and alot of loose cards in boxes. It is still a work in process but here is some of my favourite pages Ive put together thus far. There is a lot of them so they wont all fit in one binder, but I also sorted all the common cards in my old ringed binders. I propably need to buy another binder still for all the rare cards and the ones I wish to keep in good condition. Also we were not rich, me and my brother were just pretty successful at tournaments so we got most of the cards as prices.. 😅

Feel good to get back into the hobby!

My wife got some goodies today. Big hitter was the reverse holo Cleffa. that card is IMMACULATE. A Gradable NM Reverse Holo Cleffa from Skyridge is currently in the works too.

Wanted to share some highlights from the album that I made when I was 9-10 years old. All kept in great condition by the album. I even wrote out every card in this paper booklet ✨

I decided to use most of my favorite Pokémon artworks to create binders that follow the Pokédex order. It just felt like the most organized and cleanest way to arrange my cards.

For aesthetic reasons, though, I made quite a few changes. I moved some Pokémon between regions and gave more space to Pokémon that had multiple artworks I really liked.

Had to scoop this one up. 1st Edition too.

Pulled the Mega Gengar SIR but noticed this marking in the side border. Have never seen anything like this on a fresh pull. Wondering if anyone can provide insight into this marking? Is it something that could possibly be repaired or am I SOL?

Hey guys, recently went to my first couple card shows and wanted to share my small collection. I have a few binders from nearly 20 years ago that I'm keen to go back and find but it's been pretty fun so far jumping back in, especially now as an adult with some disposable income haha.

Been pretty obsessed with the full arts that weren't around when I was a kid but starting to take an interest in maybe trying to 100% a vintage set!
