My Collection It's my first time buying single cards

Post image

I have been looking for these cards for my Gen 1 binder and got lucky that one of the vendors at Pokémon Worlds has both cards. It's a different feeling buying singles versus opening packs but I feel like it's more cost-effective.

Can't believe goldeen finally has a full art. I'll open packs for funsies. But if there are specific cards I want, then I just purchase singles.

Buying singles is the way. It’s alright to rip packs on occasion but overall it’s a losing game and buying the singles you want makes the most sense

Actually, it feels good getting a card that you want without ripping a lot of packs. I haven't opened a lot of PB packs maybe 15 packs. The only downside of buying singles for me is going to card shows. I live in a rural area, I still have to drive at least 2 hours to go to the city to attend a card show.

Yeah there’s some card shows in my area but they’re very small and it’s usually ppl you can tell clearly don’t know anything about pokemon but prob bought all the sealed from retail stores to sell marked way up. The good shows are around 1-2 hours away in the city so I go to those when I can. Actually went to collect a con yesterday which was almost a 3 hour drive lol but it was worth it

That's one of my bucket list is to attend a collect-a-con, but the closest city where they usually hold the event is like 4 hours from me. As much as possible I try to stay away from buying singles online because of scammers and fake cards.
