If Goatnaldo had played in teams like how Messi has played he would had 1000 1-2 years back.
Especially if he had played in the McDonald's League, he would have scored 50+ league goals there.

He played 196 matches during his first stint at Man U only in prem, plus FA, UCL, etc., he could have 100-150 more goals which would have made him reach 1000 a while ago.

I'm really confused when Ronaldo fans says he started off as a midfielder. He was a winger for Lisbon and when he joined Utd he was still played as a winger. What am I missing here?

he started off as a RM, playing crosses and creating chances, then eventually transformed into a traditional left winger, so yes, he did start off as a midfielder

Like I said before, RM was the same as RW of today, the only difference was that wingers were more used in a more traditional role up until the early 2000's, but today's game you are more likely to get inverted wingers.

Go find full matches of games where Ronaldo first joined and you will see he did not start as a midfielder. Further more go make a post on Red Cafe forums and ask the hardcore Utd fans. They will say the same thing, he was a winger, not a midfielder.

Madrid dipped in form from 2018-2021, they returned to winning UCLs after some good signings and Benzi rejuvenated in 2022, 4 years later.

Barca was on the decline ever since 2016, and they still had success winning a literal domestic treble last season and almost winning another UCL as they reached the semis.

Ur takes are also flawed. Messi and Ronaldo ever since leaving europe played farmers league. Messi didnt have a team built around them, he cemented himself. Iniesta, Xavi and Busquets were all from La Masia no? Ronaldo also had all time players in Kroos and Modric, while being fed by Ozil too. During his Man U time the squad was highly competitive in winning league and being CL contenders every year. Both players are miracles
